(Nutaku) Milenium War Aigis (English Version)

Re: (Nutaku) Milenium War Aigis (English Version)

Welp, gotta level my level 12 gold healer up so that she can be of actual use to my team... I already have a level 50 black healer who is only waiting on a black spirit to evolve. Should I level up a silver healer or 2 also? I have like 2 of them at level 30.

I dont see why not. My alissa is cc50. Her main advantage is cheaper up cost. And is in process of leveling christopher for male only maps.

and there some maps that's easier to do if you got 3 or 4 healers.

The black healer is dog shit until you awaken her and even then she still costs a lot to place out, but at least she is usable when awakened. You should definitely focus on silver/gold healers, imo.

Re: (Nutaku) Milenium War Aigis (English Version)

Isn't it only the Premium Rolls that get an increase for spotlight units?

Yes but Mischa isn't in the spotlight she is a silver unit.

Re: (Nutaku) Milenium War Aigis (English Version)

Dahlia's a pretty interesting case. I just describe her like this:
A bandit on a horse.
Best use of her would be to snipe tricky MAG mobs.
Other than that, don't use her to hold a line or fight a boss.

Gellius >>>>>>> Leanne for obvious reason. Tanks with more HP and Armor.
Like you already said, only limitation is the cost.
Do Lv him up when you have spare time (and we know that there will be spare time in MWA).

Maribel's a bit special case. She's not treated as a typical HA. She relies on her skill, which turns her into a mid-range bruiser.
"Relying on skill" doesn't make it sound good, but note that she has one of the best skill up / down time ratio in the game for that reason.

She's useful for situation where you need more than 1 block for flood of weak mobs, along with mid-boss' that has around ~1000 Phys Atk.

When I compare Maribel to Emilia, the biggest loss for Emilia is the affection bonus.
Maribel gets both ATK and DEF, which boost her x2 skill. Emilia only gets ATK and HP. HP does nothing for her skill and her DEF is pretty terribad.
I suppose Emilia wins on cost, now that we have the Valk patch.
But she will be forced to an earlier exit as well.

I watch fair amount of Youtube/Nico Aigis vid.
Honestly, I don't remember seeing a single vid with Emilia in the party.
But I have seen plenty of Maribel uses.

Edit: Having said all these for the sake of comparison, there's no reason you can't use both.
We will have more than enough time and resource in MWA even for non-optimal units.
Like someone already mentioned, "why not?"

Because that would require me to clear someone out. And considering I also have to help with damage... well, Lyla is relevant to ALL my interests.

Redheads
Big axes
Stacked
Very strong
No attitude problem

Once I get strong enough to get awakening materials, I'm awakening her first.

Re: (Nutaku) Milenium War Aigis (English Version)

Finally at last, first leeanne drop, need three more.

Re: (Nutaku) Milenium War Aigis (English Version)

Is it a good idea to level up your units you plan to use equally and have no unit that is a super high level, or it better to get specific units to max/close to max level and then work on another unit? What i have been doing is focusing on 1 to 2 units, getting them to 50, CE them, then level them up 2 or 3 more times so they are level 10-15, then basically ignore them and work on a new character. Right now I am working on my gold healer, who I believe I got from getting to a certain level, Iris is her name. After her I think I will get a silver healer, then finish up Lyla to 50, CE her, then go from there. For reference I already have Cloris, Katie, Bernice (gold heavy), Bashira (plat archer), Shizuka (plat samurai), Rachel (plat pirate), and Adele (plat witch) CE and lvl 10-15.

Re: (Nutaku) Milenium War Aigis (English Version)

It depends. But its generally better to "power-level" one or a small number of units at a time (at least early on), due to the armor mechanic.

edit: but don't focus on them -too- much. xp fodder units from earlier levels will eat up too much gold on your higher-level units and not level them up very fast.

Re: (Nutaku) Milenium War Aigis (English Version)

If I had to restart I'd level my core team (15 units give or take, depending on whether I have enough units I want to keep or not.) to 30 and then to 40. After that I'd pick single units, level them to 50, CC them and bring them back to 30. Reapeat until all units are CC30, than go up to CC40, CC50 and CC60/61 (and use two tin cans on plat units at this point).
So yes, in general I'd recommend keeping your units at about the same level. This doesn't mean you have to bring everyone to 41 before you start bringing your first unit to 42. Just pick some borders that seem reasonable to you and get you through the story missions. After CC (and for awakening it's the same) you should bring them back to at least 20 (better 30) though, because it's very easy and increases their stats really fast.
Edt: As you see, obviously both is possible and everyone does it a little different.

BTW: Most of us who are willing to answer (and even those who are not) know the units by name, so writing the classes and rarities in parentheses is kinda pointless, although I do have to say it's rather nice of you^^

Re: (Nutaku) Milenium War Aigis (English Version)

Alright, I give up on this event. I can't do Lines of Armor 2 and Lines of Armor 1 has refused to drop Maribel. Rather than waste charisma and, more importantly, stamina on literally nothing, might as well just focus on getting the rest of my units leveled and get affection items.

Re: (Nutaku) Milenium War Aigis (English Version)

I'd recommend looking at the schedule of events then youtubing the videos for which unit to cc50. Pick the ones most often used. Having a CC50 that can hold it's position is better than having three that can't hold their position in battle. It gives you the option of retiring out a unit instead of your front line collapsing.

I'd go with maxing out silvers or specific plats so that I can do the events instead of failing and being frustrated. For me succeeding is more enjoyable than testing my skill with my untested builds and having failures.

A CC70 Bashira greatly helped my nutaku account that I dedicated time getting dmm Bashira high, made the events there easier. Over here I have a few units that are CC max level, Katie, Cloris, Bashira, Eugene, then the rest are 35-49 and I only use 45+ units unless I have no other choice. Waiting on more silvers to cost reduce them before maxing out, Leanne is sitting at CC49 just waiting for the last cr.

Ehh, I got 1 of her, so the completionist inside me is satisfied, it just means I won't be using her at all until maybe her next revival event.

Focusing on a few MIGHT help you beat certain harder maps (like bashira/rachel) but it's really up to you. Rachel, Bernice and Bashira are all really great so I'd focus on all 3 honestly and Iris is good as well.

Re: (Nutaku) Milenium War Aigis (English Version)

I don't recommend investing too much into silver units (exceptions are: one archer so that you can clear Crystal Keeper H to farm DCs and get Spica; one or two healers depending on your healer situation and maybe Misha, a witch, a mage, a rogue, Phyllis and Khuri [and much later maybe Ertel]). Even more so I don't recommend putting too much ressources (if any at all in the early phase of the game) into mincosting silvers.

Rather long explanation in the spoiler:
The reason is simple. Leveling silvers to a point where they get you through events takes lots of unit experience (which is sparse in the beginning) and silver units. At a rather early point they reach their maximum potential and simply won't get better. When you get to this point you basically start over from scratch, leveling stronger units. Something you could have done in the first place.
Yes, most if not all event missions are clearable with silver units mostly. It comes with two major problems though:
a) You need lots of ressources. If your silvers are not max level (all of them) and mincosted or at least -2 you won't be able to follow the video guides.
b) Chances are high you won't be able to clear the harder maps without video guides. They require very specific strategies that took the inventors quite some time to figure out and are sometimes really hard to do (regarding unit placement and withdrawel, as well as skill activation). There is a reason why it's considered a challenge. Don't get my wrong. I respect people that post this strategies (be it the ones who invented them or the ones reposting them with slight changes). I simply think you should take them as a starting point to fill in your own better units and not as a manual you have to follow step by step.
The problem with investing into silvers (especially mincosting a lot of them) is: You're criplling your own progress. You'll lack the silvers to CC and AW stronger units. Silver units are the limiting factor in progress we have right now due to our slow event pace.

As an example: I'm a complete freemium, the only gacha unit I use regularly is Thetis (mostly because I like her looks and character). The only silver units I leveled back in the days were Alissa, Daniela and Soma (back then we didn't have free Bashira and two Archers were needed to farm DCs to get Spica). Shortly after I added a Cecily and a Calliope and much later Pallis and Khuri. Just recently I added Christopher and Eugene for male only maps. The first four are still CC40 (and haven't been used for over a year, except Cecily), the latter are CC50 (just because I have the ressources now) and are mostly for niche maps (Cecily for Dwarfs and Giants 2, Calliope for War of Magic) or for when I record videos and don't think I need stronger units (Pallis and Khuri) or for afk setups.
In general there is nothing wrong with adding some silver units in the beginning to fill the gaps, but see them as what they are: Placeholders until you get the real units.

Re: (Nutaku) Milenium War Aigis (English Version)

First roll, Gold! Mehlis :(
Second roll, silver Cecily :(
Third roll, Gold! a second Cuterie :(
Fourth roll, Giovanni :(

Troll golds! Goodbye Claire :(

I did the same with Maribel, back in the day. I eventually levelled her skill up with rainbow fairies, and now that the event's come around again, I've maxed her skill, and nearly mini-costed her.
well, Lyla is relevant to ALL my interests.

Tell me about it. Seeing her in an ad is what piqued my interest about Aigis in the first place.
She's one of the few units I've really, really wanted, but she's always eluded me. Ah well, maybe I'll get lucky as she's in the spotlight again.

I'm at ~40 AW and several AW2 on DMM, and still using mincost silvers from time to time. In particular: Leanna, Pares, Mischa, Nenya, Alissa, Noel, Ether, Mortimer, Khuri.
55 level ability really made them stand out, Alissa's permanent extra range is irreplaceable, for example.

I'm at 40+ AW and 6 AW2 (Today will be 7 AW2) on DMM
Have not use Mincosted Silver anymore

Except if the map are not allowed it (Gimmick / 4 Star challenge)

Kinda sad and cruel , but this is reality~

Agreed, many silvers still retain plenty of usefulness once they're min cost. There are plenty of maps out there where cost is extremely tight and barring broken units you will not have time to get out platinum/black units. Silvers are especially useful here.

Re: (Nutaku) Milenium War Aigis (English Version)

This might be only news to me since I haven't followed this thread all that much lately, but apparently Misha is actually in the game now:

So I had 11 SCs and decided to throw ten to the premium summon on a whim. First was Misha. The second one was her:

Fuck yeah! :p
