Well, I managed to 1-star the final mission myself...
Just to be perfectly clear, that means I do get the final -1 cost for Noel, right? Since I merely need to clear the mission, not ace it, as the text implies.
My biggest gripe with its difficulty is the abundance of healers you need. 4 ranged ones and 1 melee one... I only have 3 ranged healers, so I tried to substitute Robert with Flamel, but it didn't work out for some reason. My tanks just disappeared once the huge black ogres got to them.

Didn't read things properly, you're right. A clear is a clear regardless of how you do it. Huge black ogres are very hard hitting but slow, its possible your tanks were oneshot rendering healing useless.

That being said, a reasonable estimate is that you need at least CC50 team for G-tier event maps and CC30 for X-tier. And a good strategy.

Generally you're not supposed to tank those unless you're using a tank with a strong skill, like Anya's 50% damage reduction, or Karma's invincibility. You certainly COULD tank it with a normal tank, but you'd need a lot of healing because they hit pretty hard. Normally you'd try to kill it with ranged instead.
If you absolutely HAVE to slow it down, then you'd use fodder units and withdraw them before they finish their swing, since the attack animation is so slow.
Ideally if you try to do this, you want his club to come down on them, but before the damage shows up. Sometimes I did it too early, other times I did it right.

Took me 4 attempts to do Torrent G. Made silly mistakes on the first 3 attempts so wasted loads of sta+cha.
Wanted to get a min cost Alissa, used 9 copies and got 1 of the 2 CRs I needed. Guess I will be spending this event replenishing my healer supply.

Finally got the completion bonus on Torrent G, not sure I want to bother going for the 3 star. Expensive map, something always goes wrong and I either leak 1 unit or lose 1 unit. Probably not worth the 1 SC and frustration.

Full clear for me, albeit a bit late to the party, as I didnt notice event was up till today. The wolves/cats or whatever they are were what kept ripping me as one would get through. Finally managed to stop it with Deine + Anya.
Also did one 5sc roll today and got Sophie after not rolling for anything for months, not even free daily. This actually puts my luck factor of the game into positive for amount spent. Given that i've spent less then 300 total since the first 3 months of the game. Glad to finally be at, or just above, average finally.
Now just a question of where to fit her in...hmmmm.

You're saying at Sophie wouldn't be a good black unit. She is one of the best units to tank mages and her stats a simply insane. Though it admittedly takes a while to get her, because on low levels she's pretty useless.

Not sure where you are even remotely getting anything negative from my post. As there is none. Sophie is one of the few Blacks i've been wanting (as in must have) forever.
Dragon & Angel girls are kinda my thing you know.

I'd just be happy with having a super mega ultra op team of 2 Sybillas, 2 Nanalys, a Deine and an Aisha than rolling a Sophie. :V

All good. I was just saying, it's good to see any Black since they are still so rare. I just got lucky and it was one i wanted.
As to Angels, not too many of them in this game, but i think the pic below will give a bit away for those that are familiar with LoA2, and thus my love of angels.

Only if I didn't get cheated out of a good black by Gacha. I got Liana instead of a real black unit. -.-

Honestly, I'd be fine with any black unit at all.
Right now I'm at 82 Shrine pulls, that gave me 8 platinums (at least that is about what it should be) and no black what so ever.
In case you wonder: There's a 8.2 % chance this can happen. In 20.9 % of the cases you get one black and in 26.1 % of the cases you get two... Didn't even bother calculating how big the chances are to get even more. But clearly there is still about 55 % of the cases left... More than half of the people doing this would have gotten 3+ black units, while I got 0...
But whatever. I know my luck. I'm just glad I did only 28 pulls on my Nutaku account. The other 54 are pulls on DMM trash accounts, cause I knew this was my only chance to get a black (except for the black ticket). After 6 hours of playing the tutorial over and over again within a week I gave up (actually I stopped, when I got two reasonably good plats within three pulls on the same account)^^

My point about Liana. My favorite healer gets no love at all, yes shes a pricey girl but oh she has saved me many times. Ohhh why do people bad mouth her so. It's depressing.
We haven't seen it for awhile, but we have had events that were changed from DMM (eg ours could stun where DMM's version didnt). She is a savior on those maps. We just havent seen those for awhile, but they are coming, take that to the bank.

I'd be happy with her too (if I already didn't have her), of course. However those Blacks, especially the duo Nanaly/Sybilla and Aisha, far outweigh her. :V
