[Nutaku] Taimanin Asagi: Battle Arena


i haven't completed all my weekly quest, so i don't know if there is a prize for completely all. for me, it's not worth completing the arena quest. win 10 battles for 1 bp pot. like wth... spending 10 bp i could be using on raid bosses just to get 1 bp pot back. i'm in rank 2 where i want to be, so i don't want to fight any more.

meanwhile my lvl 3 kill speed demon 10 times is 2 50+ stamina pots. which is a full refill for me. now that's worth since i'm getting it by doing something i should be doing any ways.

do we all have the same weekly mission?
 
I assume so. I have log in, red oni, speed demon and arena.

Looking forward to the event. Not sure I've got enough pots to go deep though so like you say Dartred I'll probably get the best reward without spending everything and then save.

i would replace minasaki if you can. her high atk but low defense doesn't do you much good if she's in your defense deck. her skill activates in the attacking phase so you're not getting any benefit. the only reason to keep is is if you don't have any other demons in a full demon deck. that way at least she is gaining boost from you other cards.

Actually I'm using her in this mixed ATK deck, since her attack is the 2nd highest out of my cards right now. Yukikaze is the leader, so I focus on stats since I'm still getting stuff together for pure decks.
 
Yeah I think all the quests are the same. Slowly doing arena because I'm only at rank 6 at the moment.

Guess I will keep doing the boss one's to see what I get so I know for next week if they are worth it.

EDIT:
These advancement battles are starting to annoy me. Just lost 2 easy wins because I only got the leader skill and the other guy gets all his skills and just scraps a win.

yup, i mean you're still more likely to win with better cards, but if by chance a pure R/HR deck activates all skill vs a deck that only LR lead activates skill with HR cards mixed in. it's possible for the R/HR deck to win. so this one thing pure FTP players can look forward too. it just takes a LOT more bp to get that lucky fight.
 
I wish they would stop getting their lucky fights when I come along :p

Currently have some cost issues with defense team. Not sure if I should take Asagi off lead to save some cost points. But she brings a lot of stats with her and really helps attack team.

dartred, have you used stamina potions to get to such a high level? Or is that just from natural regen?

oh no, you gotta spend stamina potions to make potions. i always refill even if i'm completely empty. if i run into a raidboss while at 0bp ill just wait until i regen to kill it. or if i see i'm about 80% to leveling up, i just refill my stamina so i can level up and get a free stamina and bp refill to continue the grind.

Just to make sure I'm understanding this right. You use stamina potions to refill unless you are at 0 BP and run into a raid boss, then you just let it naturally regen until you defeat the boss? And doing this results in a gain of stamina potions?

I've reached level 31 about an hour or so ago. Just wondering what to do now that I have to actually spend stamina.
 
yeah, while i have some natural bp. i just keep drinking stamina pots until i'm out of bp. then when i run into a raid boss, just wait for natural regen. unless it's red oni, in that case i would drink how ever many i need to get mvp, so long as it's not the same or more then i would earn. then call for assist. though that is still wasteful imo. if possible be patient and defeat red oni with natural regen too, but this way gets me through more raid bosses faster.
 
Thanks. Was a bit confused with what I should do with them potions. Will get to grinding tomorrow now I know I don't have to horde them.
 
2 hours for maintanance, then 2 more hours of maintanance, then we can finally start. i'm so excited. even though i won't be going ham, it's a monumental occasion.
 
I rolled the x20 ticket and only got UR Sakura and fodder... Kind of a bummer really.

Anyways should I be also be stocking up medals and gold medals for events?

What determines if a HR or R should be converted into medals for medal gachas?

Also I found out that you about twice the odds of drawing a legendary character using daily rolls over the x20 UR ticket for the same dollar amount.

So I'm not sure if the ticket was actually a good deal since I don't know how UR and LR characters hold up over time from gacha powercreep.
 
as for powercreep, it's not gonna happen very fast. it took a while before new LR's completely replaced the old. the one's that were power creep were the EX versions. EX-LR, EX-UR and EX-SR were apparently really good and that stuff came after i quit. i quit after 1 year anniversaury so we don't have to worry to much.

not much reason to heard silver medals. the best you can get is HR with them. some events do give you double points when a specific HR gatcha unit is in your team. i dont think those specific units are part of the general pool and could only be gotten by gatcha tickets, but i could be wrong. same goes with gold medals, there are some events where a gatcha SR would give you like 3 times the points (points may not be exact, it's been a while).

that's up to you if you need a card or not, but i can tell you that the R's that boost or decrease by 300, 600 or 900 can be turned to medal right away. same for those that boost by 12%. those are pretty garbage. don't scrap the original 3 leaders, their stats might not be good, but they are easy to max. meaning you can have a really early 30% booster for a faction.

you may be on to something, for the price of $60, that's 60 single summons. might load up another $20 into my account for another 20 summons and see if i get lucky. though it has a much lower rate so i wouldn't hold my breath.

edit: put in $20, now won't regret if i don't pull anything good. a lot of good cards come from event rewards believe it or not.

and if i can let you guys in on a little secret, i love the pregnant cards, as i have a pregnancy fetish. sadly i think almost all the pregnant cards are in the gatcha. though there is a HR USF pregnant fencer who might be in the pool already or gets added really early. i remember having her in my DMM account. so that will probably be the easiest one to pull since i can get her with medals.

edit: first card, R Eyfaal. that egyptian looking girl. well, into gold medal she turns lol.

remember to spend all your bp before the maintenance! maintenance last 2 hours. exactly enough to have full bp when it's over. you regen 1 stamina every 3 mins and 1 bp every 20 mins.

edit: this blows, i am exactly 1 N card worth of exp away from maxing out asagi after using 10 kiryuu's. so it's gonna cost me 8k just to feed in 1 N card XD

talking about arena, for some reason or maybe just my bad luck .. i always bump into some clever guys use trick-tactic :
for example :
they use 1 BLUE leader card " increase atk demon ally by 1500 " --> (so in normal-LOGIC i think they must have blue demon on attack team) but when battle begin all their card in attack team is RED taimanin ..... oh god

So what do u suggest ? can we must use mix card from different faction in our deck or just follow the logic to boost atk for defen with cards in the same colour ???
 
it's hard to say. can you take a screen shot of all your R cards and higher?

for now, it's too early for most players too have full mono decks so expect the atk and def deck to be mixed factions. right now taimanin and demon are the best factions. so expect those two in the arena.

edit: maintenance was pushed back by 1 hour. i hope we get some compensation stamina pots for the event =p

If you go on the twitter, it says the maintenance was extended by another 30 mins. So it will begin at 11:30pm instead.
 
damn, wonder what happened. then again, a LOT of nutaku games had issues during their first few maintenance's.
 
Speaking of the devil, the maintanance has been extended by another 30 mins. So it will begin at 12:00AM PDT. I wonder what happened for them to keep pushing it back?
 
wth... i should be going to sleep but i'm staying up so i can play this lol. i was thinking of getting up early to start a rust wipe. might have to cancel that plan at this rate.

come on now. it's 12 PDT/PST and still not up...
