Overview:
Fear & Hunger is a horror dungeon crawler set in the dark and hopeless dungeons of fear and hunger. Four misfortuned adventurers dwell deeper and deeper to the darkness and uncover the secrets this ancient fortress holds inside. The fortress works as an ancient nexus for different planes of existence. The depths are in an eternal turmoil as both old and new gods struggle for power, it’s up to the players to choose their position and stance in all of this.
The game is a hybrid of survival horror and dungeon crawler genres with its influences ranging from Silent Hill to Nethack. There are roguelike elements to the game as well as a heavy foundation of a j-RPG. Fear & Hunger is heavy on atmosphere and ruthless in its difficulty.

Here are some reviews, acting also as gameplay description:
First:
- "THIS IS A HORROR GAME!!
- Everything in this game seems to be designed to create a horror atmosphere and pressure.
- The game is hard and punishing. Enemies hit hard and there are heavy consequences for taking hits and failing. Some of those are based on RNG, which makes dealing with somethings even more dangerous.
- There's far too little instruction or "tutorial" on what things are (status, and what do they do, for example)
- Roguelite, some parts of the dungeon can change.
- Save is a VERY limited resource.
- No real sex scenes, only some quick pixel animations. (Until now, I found that you can be raped by the monster guards, who will cut off your legs and leave you bleeding bad to die. The other scene was a group of bunny people who offer sex which functions like a rest minus the save)"
"This game is excellent, but definitely not for everyone. If you're looking for a bit of quick easy fun you can bust a nut too this is not it. If you're easily frustrated you also probably won't enjoy this game because virtually every element in this game is deliberately designed to challenge the player.
Gameplay: Every enemy is like a puzzle, and all of them are strong enough to totally wreck you without trying very hard. The only way to progress in the game is to take chances. Sometimes winning a fight isn't as straight forward as overpowering your enemy. Often the easiest way to learn a strategy is to fight an enemy, die, and try again. Many game elements, such as finding books, which are important for lore, and learning key skills like magic, are decided by a coin toss. This is a punishing system. No matter how strong you might be one wrong guess and you're fucked. Even saving your game is decided by a coin flip. Failure of those can produce cruel fates such as boss fights or even instant death.
Atmosphere: This is the game's shining point. It's dark to the point of being actually scary at times, and super original. There are tons of cookie cutter fantasy games out there, but this one is without parallel. The monsters in this are unique, and also frequently disgusting. It's difficult to tell whether anything is totally dead or alive . There are lovecraftian elements in it as well "Old gods" and so on, however this universe is very much its own. Each god is well developed with a robust backstory and particular variety of sinful behavior they prefer. The dungeon feels genuinely nightmarish too. There dark moldy caves with heaps of decaying corpses piled high inside, nasty ghouls, mysterious ruins with abominations all looking to murder you, and perhaps violate you first.
So in conclusion if you're interested in a game you can really immerse yourself in this is a game worth checking out. Bad things will happen to you. Often. But progress is addicting. Every accomplishment feel like a huge reward, and every enemy could be your last. I haven't even beaten this game yet but I've spent hours dying, and trying again, just so I can get closer to one of the games numerous different endings. So yeah- try this game. It's fucking awesome."

"This is amazing. Its very strong, artistically, the style reminds me of illustrations by Edward Gorey. Its a bit like Baroque, Neverending Nightmares, Darkest Dungeons, or Lisa the painful, in spirit. Heavy, oppressive atmosphere, nice sound design, and some really great enemy designs. But beware: THIS IS NOT A PORN GAME. Its not meant to be porn game, and its not sexually appealing in slightest. It does feature sex, nudity, but oh boy... Its not the "fun" kind yall expect.
My first encounter with an enemy monster ended with my character being butchered, yet kept alive in some prison area. You regain control, only to realise your characters legs were actually sawed off, meaning hes left there to crawl slowly and brokenly on the ground for the rest of his pitiful existence, making you easy target, and as a consequence of getting anally raped, he now has a status effect that makes blood drip form his anus every few crawls, slowing him down even more, leaving small fleck of blood on the floor. There are no CGs, only vague and gruesome in-game animations, like, light flickering on and off, and implied movement. Its effective.
Pont: This is an interesting and brutal horror RPG game. Ive only scratched the surface but it seems really interesting so far. Its not RPG maker porn game.
Also, most of the "coin toss" situations (in battles at least) can be avoided if you guard when you see enemy readying special move. But yeah, even so expect to die a lot."
