If anyone has heard of Phantasy Star Online: Episodes 1 and 2, then you may have heard of this. If not, it's basically PSO: 1&2, online, played on your computer, so I recommend anyone who liked it to check it out. Even if you've never heard of it, try this out anyway. It's relatively small in size (about 350MB) and it should be pretty easy to start up. Without further ado, here are the vitals.

Universal Game Setup (working on this)
Game Name: ULMF
Password: supermeme
Ship/Block: See "Ships/Blocks" for a list of Ships and which block we meet on.

Installation

It's extremely easy to use; download the client, follow the installation instructions, and play. No JP item patching or hosts file editing required anymore, this should do it all for you.

Vista users may run into some problems. Here are some possible fixes.
Windows Vista

Ok, if you are running on windows vista, you might have some problems when playing the game. I have listed the fixes to them below.

Problem: I get a error saying "Cannot create online.exe or shpsobb.exe" when updating.
Fix: If you are on the admin account of your computer, exit the game, right click the game icon, then click "Run as Administrator". If you are not on the admin account of your computer, then your going to have to go on it.

Problem: When I try and update on the loader, it freezes.
Fix: If it continues to do that for awille, go to the Phantasy Star Online Blue Burst folder in C:program Files, and open SHPsobb.exe.

Problem: Since I cannot use the loader, how do I change my game settings?
Fix: Go to the Phantasy Star Online Blue Burst folder in C:program Files, and open Settings.exe.

If you're still having problems, check on the official forums.

Re: *-Phantasy Star Online: Blue Burst-*

Like I said, we'll wait a bit to start a party thing. I've played this for a while, and this is how it goes:

First, pick a Ship, which is this game's "server". I'm thinking of either picking a ship and we almost always meet there, or we could pick whatever ship has the smallest population. Let's worry about all that later.

Next, pick a Block. There's just a Block 1 and Block 2, I believe, and we'll probably just meet on Block 1s.

Finally, you make a party by speaking to the lady at the front desk. You name your party and enter a password (optional), so on and so forth. Think of it as a private server. Here's the general format I was considering:

Episode 1
Game Name: ULMF
Password: supermeme
Mode: Normal
Difficulty: Normal

There are 4 Game Modes: Normal, Challenge, Battle, and One Person. I haven't tried Challenge or Battle, but Normal is your usual fighting and One Person is if someone doesn't want to play with anyone else. Normal is the easiest difficulty, but we can start making Hard, Very Hard, and Ultimate difficulty games sometime.

Once a game is created, I'll make a post including the vitals: Game Name, Password, etc. Everyone else clicks "Join Game", looks for "ULMF", then enters the password to join the game.

Re: *-Phantasy Star Online: Blue Burst-*

it has to be the same place every time, cos the amount of players varies and there is no way of telling where people are, i say skyline block 1 (cos i like the name)

Same, but it is? I went through a forest run, and I haven't encountered many problems in difficulty. I used more monomates that I usually do, but that's it.

.. then again, I didn't try fighting the dragon at the end.

And here I thought my sig wouldn't revive this topic.
