Must.. resist... ridiculing...
In all honesty, you may (or may not have) noticed that a few people are not taking you seriously. There are a few reasons for this and hopefully by pointing them out, you will be able to correct them and possibly even streamline your creative process.
Ill give you the benefit of the doubt that your uncle is around the same age as you and I will not address that at all.
It does not seem like you are very structured at this point. Everyone and their brother (or uncle) has ideas for games, but out of those people, only around 1% are able to deliver a working game. Its best for people to fall back on the simple phrase "Talk is cheap". We want to SEE something. Example: One day I had an idea for a game that would be appropriate for a forum and I thought it was a genius idea! I
could have simply started a thread and been all "HAI GUISE I GOT AN IDEA FER A GAME" but I would have been ridiculed and people would have no faith in me. Instead, I waited a few months until I completed the engine for the game (which was a lot of work for something people may not even accept) and knew that it was 100 percent possible before even telling anyone about it. It also helped that a couple people know that Ive been making games for over 6 years, that I make h-mods, and that my main contribution is helping amateurs learn how to make new games.
Even the best h-game makers have been known to abandon great projects (Nanocrisis anyone?)
You need to
prove to people that you have the skills, time, determination, ORGANIZATION, people, raw talent, education, and organization to pull off such a feat. If your not setting up to
prove yourself, and you're just hoping everyone is going to jump on the boat with you, it's not going to be a pleasant experience.
The first place to start is the way you present yourself online. I'm not even talking about the website yet. I'm referring to the way you 'talk'. "i got som ideas of maps" doesn't make me think of a respectable, educated game designer. It make me think of a fourteen year-old with nothing better to do. After that, I'd get cracking on the website. I find it hard to believe that someone who has the ability to crack out an almost decent game, cant throw together a simple website considering all the tools available these days.
