Description of Gameplay:

This game is a platformer. As you cannot attack you have to avoid the succubi chasing you. To reach the end of each level you sometimes have to solve puzzles, e.g. throwing a box onto a button to keep the portcullis of the exit up.
The first time a succubus catches you you lose your dressing gown, if they catch you while naked they start having their way with you and you have to struggle free. Each second your arousal increases, and if it maxes out you climax and lose a part of your health. If your health reaches zero it is game over. There are also traps such as a Spanish Horse.



Controls:

A / D => Walk left / right
Space => Jump
W => Go through doors
F => Accept
G => Cancel
H => Initiate Sex / Orgasm



Description of story:

From what I've understood based on the ingame dialogs, the posts on Patreon and the videos you play as a man who has been captured by succubi. Now they play a game with you. Navigate through several stages such as a castle or a mansion to earn your freedom back. Get caught you are made into a cum dispenser.



Secrets / Easy-to-miss scenes:

Stage 1:
- In the room with the mimic chest you can jump onto the pillars. On the left site is a fake wall. Press UP twice to enter the hidden room. For the game over go into the Employees Only room, to escape you need to put an object on the button behind another fake wall on the left.
- Against the boss, not pressing any buttons result in a different GO animation.
Paradise Key: See hidden room in mimic room

Stage 2:
Before acquiring the golden key:
- Doll room: The middle one of the three three purple goat(?) girls is real. Have sex with the two dolls for a GO animation.
- If the blond doll girl grapples you while lying on the floor a different animation will play
- Bed room with the magic seals: Crawl under the bed and out again
To acquire the golden key:
Blue Star, Yellow Circle, Purple Triangle, Red Star (One of them seems to change every playthrough)
After acquiring the golden key:
- Slime dolls have to animations; to get the second one let yourself be hit by their projectile and wait for them to come to you
- If you get caught by the giant mechanic doll sometimes regular blond doll girls will spawn (conditions unclear)
Paradise Key: Go to the long corridor with the wall hands, trigger the mechanic giant doll and let the hands grab you. Afterwards go to the next room to find the green gear. Go back to the room with the slime dolls, at the right hidden behind the crates is the switch for the green gear. Go back to the "throne room".

Anwyay... Looks like we'll get a better than awful gameplay/controls this time around - like it could get any worse.
Also gimme decent loading times and I'm in! Male MC RoR with multiple assailants? Sounds fun.

It's honestly amazing.

Gameplay consists of a mix of resisting temptation to have sex with hawt demon girls, evading traps, and bosses with puzzle mechanics. A bit like that zell was planning for his new game, except poring started earlier on his game and now already has a demo out. and the vibe is less horror-ish than lighthearted and sexy.

Poring has been churning out stuff at an admirable rate. The patreon version gets early access to a gallery mode as well. Some girls from Attack It! Devil Legion make a comeback, but with all new animations.

Animations and general background art are top-notch once again:



This chandelier has to be one of my favorite pixel art props of any game out there.

Also, there's lots of fun interactions: If the protagonist gives in to the temptation of fucking a succubus doll, the succubi after whom she was modelled show up to comment on how frustrating it is for them that he chose a doll over doing it with them , and so on. Also, I just like Poring's brand of silly humor.

I'm absolutely looking forward to what he's gonna be doing with this. Supporting this one, like AIDL, from the start on patreon as well. Poring doesn't disappoint.

Can agree with the above poster. I was surprised how quickly Poring managed to finish the first stage given it seems he had just announced only a few months ago, he works faster than any of the other people on Patreon that i'm subbed to and his Pixel art is very high quality.

The gameplay is very interesting. You can't actually fight any of the succubi enemies, you have either run away from them or feed them another adventurer to pass unscathed. even the last bosses challenge is a kind of DDR memory game which quickly turns into an impossible to win fuck-based DDR game if you fail too many times. The game is already full of interesting concepts and poring has a great imagination.

The first trial is available in English for the 5 dollar sub (i believe) and the 10 dollar sub has a version with a Gallery. If you donate 20 dollars total you can get 'Attack It, Devil Legion!' uncensored version for free which is a very nice game in it's own right.

Paywalled demos I'm assuming? I'm not sure how to feel about this, considering Poring put up a few free demos of devil legion before.

Here's hoping he'll eventually host at least one demo for free somewhere, but if not I hope he'll at least move his content to ci-en or fanbox.

I reckon my own definition of "free" is too old-fashioned...
Anyway, that's a smart move indeed, but we shouldn't advertise for things like that, nor encourage other authors to follow the example.
As a reminder, Attack it! Devil legion is currently 2200 yens on DLsite, bar any promotion ( that's $20.18 or €18.33 ) - edit: or $9.99 for the Steam version

I was a bit harsh earlier; Devil legion isn't a bad game. Anything except the gameplay is good to very good quality. I'm glad to hear Poring turned to a simpler design, perhaps more suited the the lighthearted tone of the universe (if parents renting lesser succubi to deflower their kid can be called lighthearted xD). Good thinking, I hope that shows in the end.

However, if anyone else remember the 1st demo in the early 201x, development took well over 5 years - alledgedly because of the 1st programmer.
How much time it'll take Poring to release a public demo, and to communicate a likely release date, will be a good indication of what to expect.

You seem like kind of a pain in the ass.

You aren't paying for Devil Legion, you are paying to support Poring on his new game. Receiving Devil Legion for 20 dollars of commitment, which as you mentioned is the same price on DLsite, is an additional reward. I happened to find Devil Legion to be a very good and interesting game, infact, i started subbing to Poring while he was developing Devil Legion.

As i had mentioned previously, Poring seems to be working quite quickly on this new title. He had only announced Castle of Temptation a few months ago and the 1st stage is already complete. Poring mentioned that he intends to release the public demo at some point soon, but if people are truly interested, i think 5 dollars is a reasonable deal to access what i believe is a high quality game.

Wow. That is a lot of content for just the first stage. Loved the boss, reminds me of the fight in Fobs against the quiz oni, except not braindead easy.
Almost every room had something new. Like, even one of the save rooms had like 6 new animations in it, 4 of them being completely unnecessary (small paintings) and yet there they were.

If the next stages has as much content as this first one I wont feel bad about staying a backer through the whole development!

They mentioned that in one of the patron posts. When they're done with the 2nd stage, they will release the first stage as a free demo.
And if i understood correctly they have already surpassed the amount of animations the first stage had in second stage.

facts:
- Poring updates patreon frequently, going through the trouble of using English. Reports are quite transparent, with many pics/teasers.
- It's been almost a year - 11 months - since Devil Legion. Poring looks like he did a good amount of work without burning out, that's commendable.
- still no public demo, but many media to show (>tell) for their work

It would seem that setting sun countries' devs set good standards for other Patreon projects. That's nice.

Until a public demo exists, it's more effective to explain the gameplay, the game flow and feel. Or to share funny stuff like that chandelier (took me ages to notice that wax xD).
Poring is pretty smart there, simply follow his/her example.
