I've noticed the two threads for the game with the RJ code given in the title have been completely wiped from the forums. Since I started the second thread and followed all the rules regarding thread creation, I'm asking what rationale was given for their complete deletion with no warning regarding non compliance of game thread discussion rules.

Only reasons I could think of are creator requests to delete the discussion threads or a bias against any thread which doesn't provide an English language title. The latter would not surprise me if it was the reason for the thread obliteration.

So search only gives these results:

And the deleted thread's OP doesn't have any information on who deleted it, only when:

Unfortunately it says it was deleted May 21 2017, but that contradicts the edit on the OP which was made June 5 2017 and the final post in the thread being made August 27 2017. I can't screenshot the message it gives me saying that no moderator actions have been logged on the thread because it's a temporary banner. My best guess is that this thread was fucked by either the last vbulletin update or the conversion to xenoforo.

As far as I can tell there was never another thread for this game or it would have popped up in my search results, unless it had been merged with the original thread and there's no evidence of that.

Going to rez the original thread as I can't see a reason not to.

I doubt that's the only thread that's been hit by the same mass deletion. Not sure how you got your search results since using the RJ code didn't give anything on my end.

Threads that have been "removed from public view" (soft deleted) like that one are visible to mods or users that have been given permission to see them through the forum's permissions interface, so it wouldn't have shown up for your search.

I don't see the thread revived in any forum.
Not sure if it's worth creating another thread for the sequel knowing the forum is likely to randomly delete it for no good reason.

Thanks. Looks like I remembered wrong and it's just the one thread. At least it's back from the dead.

Another thread I created has been nuked by the forum (accidentally or on purpose, who knows).

I suspect the forum doesn't like threads which have titles completely in Japanese, even with the RJ code added in the title. RJ01351531 is the thread in question, and I'm not accepting gaslighting saying someone else did the thread.

Okay yeah, that's VERY bizarre. Especially because that thread had quite a lot of posts. I'm sending a message to F95 to ask about what happened.

Edit - It seems like this one wasn't getting deleted, but the forum's search engine is so severely broken, it just straight up can't seem to query the thread correctly. The search bar, your posts, nothing seemed to find that thread correctly. I had to find the release date of the game, dig all the way back into the moderator logs to when we moved it from the Under Construction section to the H-Games section, and manually open the URL from there to find it. Then I had to post a test post in the thread before it started showing back up in the search.

I'm sorry I don't have a better answer for you than this. I've let the webmasters know about the issue, but until they decide to fix it, I think you're just going to have to keep letting us know when something goes missing and we'll try to dig it back out for you.

Thanks for the link. My newest post was acknowledged and the thread is now back live on the games forum.

Weirdly, posting just now restored one post I made in February of last year in the post history, but nothing else in the profile.

Considering how many users now actively post in this forum, I'm guessing this problem has gone unnoticed for so long because forum activity just isn't there for users to actually notice the migration severely broke legacy post searches.

Edit: I don't know if it's worth it to have a sticky post from the remaining administrators warning others of this problem.
