Re: [HTML5]LEWD, an erotic text adventure... in space! (Alpha1 release is out!)
Is it really that difficult to get working? I think I have things way more streamlined than most things like this.
Seems you're just saying you didn't get a key. I mean... it's not open access and I'm not sure what gives you the impression that it's supposed to be when text all over says contrary.
It's how virtually every main stream game works where you either preorder it or you hope you are lucky enough to get a key early. Not sure how that can possibly be confusing or "hoops".
Yes, i think it is too difficult to get it working. As i outlined, it's way too much of a hassle, if your only goal is to get an informed opinion of this game before you actually open your wallet.
I never said that i didn't get a key. What happened is that i used the key you kindly submitted and when i redeemed it on your site, it said that everything checks out fine, the key was alright and had uses on it but i was never able to get the game to run.
Now, whatever went wrong there aside, the fact remains that i still don't know anything about the game. I think a system, where you have to hope to get a key, which is limited in availability and usage across the entire potential player-base is bad. So, the game is not open access, fine. But the carrot on the stick (key) did nothing to win me over as a potential customer.
I mean, why is this key thingy even there? To give people a chance to get an impression, yes? Then do you think it's an effective system if it's so random? I think not. I would rather try a restricted, easy demo than hoping to grab a key, someday, somewhere when a blue moons falls from the sky.
But yeah, not trying to be negative or anything. If you are successful with that, congratulations.
