Scourge of the Silver Marches D&D 3.5

Re: Scourge of the Silver Marches D&D 3.5

Hey Firi would your character get mad if my slightly insane barbarian tried to eat a slime thinking it was jello.

Depends if your barbarian likes taking paralyze and acid damage to the face :/

Edit:

Just noticed that my character doesn't have acid immunity... yet next level she can excrete caustic acid onto her hands and not take damage... wtf...

If you do end up feeding him slimes, try not to kill him. The barbarian is the only character in the group who is essentially not a nudist.

Edit: although his choice of clothing makes him look like a half-dwarven hedgehog.

Re: Scourge of the Silver Marches D&D 3.5

Since a knowledge check doesn't allow retries you can't take 10 since that assumes you retry till you get it right. However it would be up to the DM, if he wanted to allow it.

Edit: Yay, paralyzed face. Then I have a reason to drool a lot.

No idea what you're talking about, I have traveller's clothes :/

Re: Scourge of the Silver Marches D&D 3.5

Since I just remembered and others might have forgotten as well: don't forget that having 5+ ranks in Knowledge (Arcana) gives a +2 synergy bonus to spellcraft.

I actually have a section just below my skills that lists my skill synergies. Fun stuff.

EDIT: Swapped my int and str and adjusted my sheet accordingly.

Basically, most people I play D&D with in real life consider my spellcasters to be nudists since they never wear armor. Apparently normal clothing doesn't make you not nude.

Re: Scourge of the Silver Marches D&D 3.5

Two things:

Since I just remembered and others might have forgotten as well: don't forget that having 5+ ranks in Knowledge (Arcana) gives a +2 synergy bonus to spellcraft.

Also, Tassadar, is it ok if I have my character sometimes effectively take a 10 on knowledge (the planes) checks for when he's discussing things the relate to the Abyss? (I read in the knowledge skill and couldn't find if you could take a 10 or not, this just basically means that Granth will have basic knowledge on most types of demons and demon lords due to his racial memories)

I'd give you circumstance bonuses, how much depending on what we're discussing.

Re: Scourge of the Silver Marches D&D 3.5

Just made a quick change to my character, I gave her +9 to craft(alchemy) so that I can stock up on bottles of acid ;D

I was mainly intending to use it for stuff along the lines of in character arguments with loli's character about Jubilex and company.

Actually Ronny, taking 20 assumes you are trying until you get it right. Taking 10 assumes you are expending no extra effort on it, not trying to be exceptional but not risking failure either.

Re: Scourge of the Silver Marches D&D 3.5

You're still taking retries so you don't ruin it however. Which is what I meant.

Edit: added my tactics to the character sheet if you ever need them. Will add a description later.

I go to class for just two and a half hours and all this happens. Sheesh.

Re: Scourge of the Silver Marches D&D 3.5

Lol, sorry. I wanted to get you out of the city which requires lots of typing on my part.

Re: Scourge of the Silver Marches D&D 3.5

Holi raises his axe, "Just be careful where ya aim yer blasted bolts, I've died more times then I care to remember from poorly aimed magic."

With that he charges for the orc that he has the clearest path too screaming, "For Felbarr and King Emerus Warcrown."

(Charge attack with dwarven waraxe, if I don't have a path open for a charge. Just get as close as possible to the orcs, with my move.)

I thought we couldn't see them yet?

Re: Scourge of the Silver Marches D&D 3.5

Meh, we know where they are, and its 20ft to the top of the rise, and another 40 to the ambush, so I don't think our dwarven friend made it.

Re: Scourge of the Silver Marches D&D 3.5

I was just curious as to how he knew what to charge at. I'm half expecting him to ram a tree or something. Tassadar didn't actually have us see the orcs, he just had one of the NPC's notice them and tell us about them.

Re: Scourge of the Silver Marches D&D 3.5

Hehe, he'll probably hit the tree anyways, he's a battlerager :) and he's got 40ft of running room either for him to spot them or for them to jump out at him.

Re: Scourge of the Silver Marches D&D 3.5

Screw it, I'm going to zap the orcs before fluffy gets in my way.

Re: Scourge of the Silver Marches D&D 3.5

But... But... The poor forest... XD

Re: Scourge of the Silver Marches D&D 3.5

Did the lightning bolt aimed at the trees near the bend hit anything or just set the forest on fire (Yay for the fact that lightning bolt sets things on fire). Also, since I forgot to specify, that was lightning bolt I was casting.
