Re: Scourge of the Silver Marches
(Correct.)
1d20+14 = 14+14 = 28 vs DC18 = hit
1d20+12 = 1+12 = automatic failure
1d20+9 = 13+9 = 22 vs DC18 = hit
1d20+7 = 14+7 = 21 vs DC18 = hit
1d6+7 = 5+7 = 12
1d6+7 = 4+7 = 11
1d6+7 = 6+7 = 13
Carella takes 36 damage
The lizardman, apparently fed up with the bothersome monk, attacks her savagely with its claws. Three of its four raking blows tear into Carellas flesh, doing a great deal of damage.
1d20+12+2 = 19+12+2 = critical hit on lizardman, immune to crticals
1d20+7+2 = 3+7+2 = 12 vs DC27 = miss
1d8+4+8 = 4+4+8 = 16 damage.
Trex, seeing the creature maul his companion, once again calls out to the Morninglord and attacks the creature. His first blow strikes true, and his righteous might is transferred through the blade to the creature. It howls in pain.
1d20+13 = 12+13 = 25 vs DC16 = successful grapple.
Carella grabs onto the creature once again, attempting to wrestle it into submission.
1d20+4 = 16+4+1 = 21 vs DC16 = hit with lesser orb of electricity.
3d8 = 3+6+1 = 10 damage.
Granth sends a ball of lightning at the strange creature, hitting it in the shoulder and causing a scorch mark to appear where it hit.
1d20+13 = 14+13 = 27 vs DC 27 = hit
Cannot surpass DR
Aramil quickly draws his bow, nocks an arrow, and lets it fly at the creature from the safety of the woods. The missile doesn't even seem to bother the creature in the slightest, as it sinks less than an inch into its skin. It's too distracted to remove it however, as Bolm approaches it holding up his holy symbol, a silver medallion with Lathanders symbol of the rising sun. The lizardfolk recoils from the approaching priest, and Bolm spits; "Vampire!?" as it backs away from the priest.
1d20+7 = 16+7 = 23 vs DC 16 = hit
3d6 = 5+4+2 = 11 damage
1d20+13 = 15 vs DC21 = failed save
The creature is unable to dodge Malacets blast, and the ray of fire catches the creature in the chest, setting it alight.
1d20+11+2 = 16+11+2 = 29 vs DC27 = hit with overrun
1d20+14 = 11+14 = 25 vs DC15 = hit
1d20+12 = 9+12 = 21 vs DC15 = hit
1d6+7 = 2+7 = 9 damage on Holi
1d6+7 = 3+7 = 10 damage on Holi
1d20+4+2 = 18+4+2 = 24 vs 1d20+7 = 17+7 = 24 = success
Holi charges forward, taking rakes from its claws before it smashes into the creature. The two seems as if they are both going to go flying, but Holis momentum gives him the advantage he needs to force the creature back onto its back. Unfortunately, this also breaks Carellas grip on the creature, as she releases and jumps aside before the dwarfs attack, rather than risk getting impaled on one of his many spikes.
1d20+7 = 18+7 = 25 vs DC10 = hit
1d3 = 1 damage
Tod chooses to send a splash of acid onto the creature rather than risk sending one of his more destructive spells into the fray, and has little trouble splashing it with a corrosive substance. It does little damage, however.
(Creature is prone and on fire, has taken 38+12-2 = 58 damage, Holi has taken 19 damage, and Carella has taken 36 damage.)
The compound damage from all the punishment on the creature proves too much, and it turns to dust faster than the flames licking at its body could allow.
