Considering that Nekonyan said on their discord they'll localize an all age version, and the acces check on the Steam page is removed.... guess you can be sure it's over.
Add the fact they've been no comment on the dev Ci-En or Fantia since the game physical release 2 year ago... Either the dev officially anounce he stop or he's making the grand reveal of his come back...

Well it seems like it is worse since they are going to take down the original 18 version as well. So the only way to get the game afterwards in it's real form would be to pirate it. Glad I seen this guess I'll redownload it off of dlsite and archive it before it's removed.
 
Damn, man. It's one thing to cuck ENG audiences by only localizing the All Ages version of the game, but completely removing the 18+ version of the game, even for JPN consumers who already bought the game? That's the kind of thing that we shit on big name studios for doing, like with Rockstar's "Definitive Editions" of GTA.
I hope they're happy with their choice, because they basically shot themselves in the foot. Even if they backpedal and bring back the 18+ version, at this point it'll be stained by their previous actions.
That's not to mention the fact that if they're doing this to appease western puritans, they'll probably still write the game off as an H-game just by the way it looks.
 
It sucked anyway as an H game, mostly a glorified gallery with a ton of video gaming. Onirism with it's sex mod has more interactivity than this, lol.
 
The game was dead anyway, the sale curve plateaued and the 10 or 20 sales extra a week at this point in time probably were not worth caring for.
If the dev is trying to go legit and get a proper white collar job, this much is a necessity unless you want to be known as 'that guy who made a ryona loli hentai game' by your coworkers.
 
well shucks, absolutely unfortunate that its going so far as to remove the content from their japanese only version. and since loli sharing isnt allowed on this site it cannot be preserved here, its very confusing to go this far for a market that probably wouldnt want to play a game with a small girl as a main character anyway.

Well I get the doomposting since this is a porn game forum but I find the state of affairs fine all things considered. So might as well play devil's advocate here.

One can assume the original R18 content was only there because R15 games don't sell on DLsite (note how I specify only DLsite) and the dev never cared for it in the first place. Removing the censorship shows the lack of care in the R18, in that the dicks are literally untextured cylinders. This puts Nekonyan in a quandary due to the usual censorship discourse by people who don't care to understand the behind-the-scenes. They either release it decensored and get the anti-censorship people whinging, or they release it censored and it looks like literal shit, or they put in more money and manhours to get better models of penises, which I think would be a negligible change in sales and an overall net loss.

Furthermore, this part isn't true. The market for R15 moe indie games exists and I'm willing to claim is more accessible than R18 indie games, outside of Japan. In fact, the dev isn't making this decision blindly because there's a very good example of a moe game that released just last year to a "Very Positive" rating and 8k reviews (so assume 2-5x the sales). The third-person shooter and sorta souls-like game, Little Witch Nobeta. The game itself is basically all-ages while the Patreon is R17-ish but doesn't cross the R18 line afaik, so clearly something's working out for them and that something can very well work out for this game too.

Nobeta has the benifit of being a game designed with that target in mind with a based developer. but lorena was a game made first for R18 groups later being demoted for R15, its going to cause alot of stur with both groups, cause theres no way people that dont know about this game are gonna go unaware that it was origonally made with sex content when people in discussions or reviews are gonna flak it for their decision to remove all traces of it.
