Iris was not sure she could do this. Iris didn't think Jesse wanted to see her, even with stuff. Iris had accidentally hurt Jesse's feelings, and pretty bad. Jesse had acted like a mother to Iris so she couldn't just ignore this, Iris had to face Jesse and make peace with her.

Taking a deep breath Iris made her way to the inn shop. When Iris saw Jesse inside she almost slowed down her walking due to how nervous she was. As Iris made her way to the counter she quietly said something to Jesse, just loud enough for Jesse to hear her. Iris couldn't make eye contact so she looked at Jesse's face, but not in her eyes.

" H-hi Jesse... "
Iris then waited for a reply.

River strode into the shop, figuring out her plan as she went. Once at the counter, she put her .32 down and looked over to Jesse.

"Hey there. When I was over at the prison, they either switched my gun or did something to it, it's not going to blow up in my face or anything, is it?"

Jesse looked heart broken as soon as she saw Iris, so much that River's presence was overlooked by Jesse's emotional break down over seeing Iris. The brunette rushed over to Iris from the counter, and nearly knocked her over as Jesse nearly strangled the breath out of her in a fierce hug.

Looking a little put off, River just sits herself down on the counter and waits for the pair to be finished before butting in. Inwardly she was smiling, planning on telling Cal about this as proof of what she had said earlier.

Iris hadn't exspected Jesse to accually come and hug her like she did. Because she had done this Iris was caught off guard. When the embrace was made Iris's face blushed a tiny bit, being this close to the woman. Letting herself get hugged by the woman Iris shut her eyes as she wispered out something, her tone very quiet.

" I'm... I"m really sorry... "
Iris then waited in the womans arms. Iris hadn't even noticed River because of Jesse.

Teary eyed, Jesse looked at Iris directly in the eyes,

"If you're really sorry... Prove it." she told Iris, sounding utterly heart broken as a tear rolls down her cheek.

Iris didn't know how to "prove" she was sorry like Jesse wanted. The only way Iris could even think she could prove it was giving Jesse the supplies she had managed to get from her looting run like she planned. Seeing Jesse like this was making her feel worse then she already had, Iris felt tears starting to form in her eyes as she saw the woman cry. Quietly and sadly Iris said something to Jesse.

" I... I went out and got these for you... "

Iris then took her backpack and placed most of its contents out on the counter. The female clothing she had gotten from the first house, The box of rifle ammo, the first aid kit, and the broken gun. Iris then stood there, unsure of what to do or say...

Jesse was taken back. She let go of Iris, looking more heart broken than ever as she backed away from the girl. Her voice trembled with sadness as she put distance between her and Iris.

"That's all I mean to you...?" she cast an angry gesture at all of the things on her counter, "These... Things!?!"

She shook her head at Iris, and turned her back on the white haired girl, not wanting to look at her as she folded her arms, her shoulders trembling each time she took a breath in. Feeling as if her care for the girl was misplaced.

Iris idea hadn't worked. She guessed putting her life at risk hadn't been enough. She had messed up so badly that she had no idea to get Jesse to forgive her. Iris fought back the tears that were starting to form in her eyes as she stood there, unsure of what to do or say. Looking down Iris said something then, her clear confusion on what she was suppose to do showing, along with her stronger sadness.

" I didn't know any other way to show you I was sorry... I guess I'm just too blinded to know what to do..."
Iris silently stood there then. Her head still tilted forward as she looked at the ground.

Jesse turned on Iris, rage mixed with sadness as she walked over to the things on the counter, and gave them all a fierce slap, making the bullets fly from the box, and scatter all over the floor, and the gun land against the wall, causing a hole to form where it landed as Jesse erupted in a fury.

"Just get out!" she screamed at Iris, her tears coated her face as she yelled at her, "Go away!"

Seeing Jesse slap the things she had brought and yell at her to leave made Iris hurt on the inside. She felt a strong pain and she had no idea what it was. It felt simular to the feeling she had felt when her father had died. Now crying, Iris turned walked away. She was heart broken at the sheer rejection and hate Jesse had given her. As she silently walked out of the shop she began wiping her eyes, trying to get rid of her tears...

Still crying heavily, Jesse feel to her knees on the floor, and covered her face with her hands, crying into them fiercely, her tears going through the cracks of her fingers and dripping onto the floor.

River jumped off the counter when Jesse scattered the supplies, but stayed silent until Iris left and Jesse collapsed. Slowly, she went over and kneeled down beside the distraught woman, putting a hand over her shoulder and speaking softly.

Jesse accepted River's support, leaning her head in to cry on her shoulder, and wrapping her arms around River's neck, crying into her.

River hugged the girl, wrapping one arm around her back and squeezing reassuringly, while her other hand stretched behind Jesse's shoulders to pet her hair in a steady rhythm. She kept up a constant string of reassurances the entire time until Jesse had calmed down enough to talk.

"Wanna talk about it?" She asks softly, gently.

Jesse sobs a little more after being asked the question, shaking her head against River's shoulder.

"How could anyone be so heartless? How? I spent so long, worried about her, only for her to come back and break my heart..." as if she had been done crying against River's suit, coating her armor with her tears, a few more trail down as she continues to cry.

River says nothing for a long moment, considering the question and everything she knew about Iris.

"I... Don't think Iris remembers what it's like to be loved anymore..." She says finally. "When she left. She promised you she'd bring those back, didn't she? I think... I think that she was trying to express her feeling through them, that she idn't realize what it was you wanted from her..."

Jesse shook her head,

"She promised me... When she came back she'd..." Jesse trailed off, lowering her head to the ground, "... But she didn't..." she whispered.

"I should never have even cared... I shouldn't let people toy with my heart..." she said remorsefully.

River sighed, Still holding on to Jesse.

"I think she was expecting you to kind of start that. You'd be all happy she came back, she'd give you that stuff, then you'd drag her away for a happily ever after. When you got angry, she didn't know what to do..."
