Emily still felt like a dumbass but she knew Iris was right. After hearing what Selena said she wondered if she sounded as stupid as that. At least she was talking to someone instead of a intercom that's been turned off.

"...Selena it's pointless, Iris is right we have to go through this trap infested mall... OK who here has experience with traps? I've read about them online and set some up..."
She said this hoping she wasn't the only person expeirenced in traps. If she was then the mission would ride on her and she already felt stupid for what she just did.

In responce to Selena Iris nodded her head. Iris didn't know much about traps. Iris was pretty usless at the moment but would ttry to help out in whatever way she could. Before following the girl Iris turned to Emily and said-

" Come on, lets go Emily. We can't turn back after going this far. Just be careful alright? "

Iris then started to follow Selena, trying to keep an eye out for traps.

As the three girls proceed, they each look carefully for traps as they proceed towards the stairs...

(Trap spotting check)

Iris spotted what looked like a sensor on the wall leading up the stairs.

Emily looks at Selena. She shakes her head at her. She really didn't want to kill anyone else again. After what happened to the warehouse she felt like it was harder for her to control her depression.

"He won't attack us if we don't attack him. If he wanted us dead just because we were from Apple Inn he would have shot us along with those monsters."
She stared intently at Selena when she said these last words. Her hunch was that if they couldn't recruit him then Selena would try to kill him. She went up to Selena so Iris couldn't hear what she was about to say.

"And if you try to kill an innocent then I'll put a bullet in your head faster then you could even aim at him."

She smiled back at Selena. She isn't the cowardly bitch Emily thought she was. Although she would hate to get in a fight with a teammate this girl could be more interesting then she thought.

When she was done saying this she walked back to Iris.

Iris had been to busy looking out for traps to hear what Emily and Selena were saying to one another. If she had heard more then likly Iris would of been embarrised at the "On top" and "pet" comments and would of tried to keep Emily and Selena from getting into a fight. However Iris didn't hear anything the two girls said so she kept walking and looking out for traps. Iris did spot something, it looked like a sensor leading up from the wall and up the stairs. This really alearted Iris. When Iris spotted this thing she said-

" Stop! Emily, Selena, look! There is some kind of sensor on the wall leading up the stairs... "

Iris pointed at the thing while she said that.

Selena pauses, and looks at the sensor and tries to bypass it without blowing it up (either ducking it, or jumping over it, or if neither are available, ready her rifle to shoot it)

Emily heard Iris. She also ignored Selena like usual. She thought back to traps she set up in her house. She would usually set up traps so that her parents couldn't get to her. She thought back to when she was about twelve and her father started to chase her then fell flat on his face when he tripped on a trap she placed. She started to giggle and said.

"I'm really more used to setting these up then disabling them."
She looked at Selena pulling out her gun.

"That might set it off I'm not sure..."

EDIT: Bleh I'll edit this post if Selena can duck under it or anything

As the girls put some distance from the sensor, Selena took a shot at it. It let out loud electrical noises as a large flash of light nearly blinded them.

Their eyes burned, and their ears rang as they suffered the effects of a makeshift flash bang trap.

Emily saw Selena shoot. She hoped if the sensor was destroyed it wouldn't go off. Well, it didn't go off but it did something that could be considered just as bad. A blinding light and a deafening noise came out of the sensor. Emily shut here eyes and quickly covered her ears. She had always had good hearing, more then an average person. This just made the effects worst on her ears. She started to yell at Selena to help distract her from the pain she was feeling in her ears

When she said this all she could hear was a ringing noise in her ears.

"Oh, fuck. How long is this gonna take to recover?"
She literally screamed the last part because she had no idea how loud she was talking. She decided to just stay put afraid of setting off any other traps. The bomb distracted her too much to be able to tell the others though.

As the girls began to recover from the effects, they heard the man on the intercom again, he spoke in an angry tone, "I told you to hit the road, now stop setting my traps off before you get killed."

Iris was recovoring from the flashing light and loud sounds. Her eyes were watering up horribly and her ears were pounding. Iris was covoring her eyes when she heard the man once again, even though her ears were ringing. Iris had been wondering what this man knew about the director of the apple inn. While the man was still listening Iris figured she may as well ask. Iris suddenly said loud enough for the man to hear-

" I want to know something. Why did you call the apple inn director a bitch? What do you know about her?"

Iris hoped he answered.
