Steel Sky (Adelle/Mind Flayer)

Re: Steel Sky (Adelle/Mind Flayer)

"If you want to throw your weight in there, but try not to hit Iris." Liliana stated in a hassle as the two of them scrambled behind the couches, which was not the best of cover one could find, but it was probably the best for any clear lines of sight. She reached for something under that particular couch, pulling out a nasty-looking thing with a tank on it instead of a magazine. Who knew what was in it. "If I get a-" they tried to carry on but there was a thump as the ratman was thrown inside and against the wall opposite of the balcony, a bloody trail following as his severed gun-arm landed into the middle of the room, still desperately holding onto the gun even after it had been removed. Iris quickly followed up as she returned to the fray, aiming to sever both of his legs with one harsh blow, but the crippled rat was not one to completely give in just yet as he hopped over the horizontal sweep, drawing a curved machete-length knife with some wicked serrations on it from the folds of his robes with his remaining hand. Despite the mask and a possible blindness, Iris perfectly tracked him even across the air, the flared and now bloodied tip of her sword-plate crushing the severed limb and the gun in it with a quick down thrust before she took up a defensive posture between the two parties involved.

Re: Steel Sky (Adelle/Mind Flayer)

Adelle nodded and prepared to lean around the couch to fire at the ratman while Liliana began to pull up a gun of some sort herself. As soon as the ratman had been thrown inside though, Adelle felt she might not need to join in to help Iris there, and lowered her gun as the guy was flung to the floor. After he pulled the machete out though, after dodging Iris's limb removing blow, Adelle glanced over to Liliana, before aiming her pistol at the leg she could see the best, and firing into it to put him on his knees. "Drop it now, or die!" She demanded of him, narrowing her eyes as she commanded him to drop his weapon, aiming her gun at his head now.

Re: Steel Sky (Adelle/Mind Flayer)

Adelle got a shot off, the firing line being pretty clear now as there was no balcony shenanigans going on. She got the shot on point, kneecapping the ratman efficiently but not apparently still having her point reinforced as the would-be assassin still desperately tried to make some sort of mark on the scene before being taken down. Going past Iris still looked like complete insanity however, and proved out to be just that as the girl winded back with her sword, catching the incoming attack not with the edge but with the flat side of the weapon as she threw a colossal baseball swing against the charging rat, shattering his knife and probably his arm and a good deal of ribs as the return swing blew him clear across the room and into the opposite wall next to the toilet door.

But as mighty fine that was, there was to be no rest right away as a sudden sound alerted the ladies, two more rats of a similar variety climbing onto the balcony and getting ready to engage.

Re: Steel Sky (Adelle/Mind Flayer)

"Why does nobody ever listen these days? You shoot them in the leg, hindering mobility, and they've already last a hand, meaning their effectiveness isn't gonna be top notch... yet they still keep trying to fight. Just a load of idiots," Adelle muttered under her breath, as Iris baseball swung her blade, and knocked the ratman across the room, and out.

When she heard the noise coming from the balcony though, Adelle whipped herself around to face the balcony doorway, pulling her other pistol out at the same time and aiming both at it as she moved back to cover behind the couch with Liliana. "How much you wanna bet, it's Miguel's thugs?" Adelle whispered to Liliana.

Re: Steel Sky (Adelle/Mind Flayer)

"Maybe they have something even more dreadful waiting if they fail? Not sure but I just guess..." Liliana offered her opinion as the two saw the spanking of the rat happen. The other two that had just climbed onto the balcony had been aware of what was going on, their approach markedly careful as they let Iris come to them instead of just coming inside despite having the opportunity to do so. The pair took a position as they stood up on the railing, a most hazardous move by all accounts, but they did appear to have a plan. Letting the blind girl rush in with her rough weapon, the pair took a giant leap over her incoming swing, drawing their weapons as they did. One of them had a similar machete to the one now out, but the other one had something more scary, a roughly sawed-off shotgun. "W-w-we've come for for your life, bitch queen." the gun wielder spoke with a stutter as he pointed his gun towards the two ladies, maybe more out of a speech impediment than actual fear.

Re: Steel Sky (Adelle/Mind Flayer)

Adelle was listening to Liliana when they heard a couple of more assholes climbing onto the balcony just outside, while Iris finished dealing with the ratman. When Iris moved at the newcomers, and Adelle saw them jump over her, she heard the one stuttering as he pointed his gun towards her and Liliana. "Huh... that would have been more worrisome pal, if you weren't stuttering like a quivering little bitch," Adelle called back to the gun wielding guy from behind the couch.

Adelle leaned down and aimed at his feet with her bigger pistol from under the couch, and fired into both of his feet, so that when they hit and he fell, she'd have a good shot at hit upper body, where she'd aim at his arms to keep him from being able to use the shotgun.

Re: Steel Sky (Adelle/Mind Flayer)

The ratman did not reply to the incoming insults, but it clearly did affect them as there was hesitation and Liliana capitalized, doing a quick peek shot with her gun that sprayed a stream of sizzling yellow liquid onto them. And it was a direct hit to the face, making them drop their gun as the acid burned ever so slowly into their skin. The other one was getting hesitant at the whole scene, but did not have much time to ponder about it as Iris came rushing back from the balcony, leaping towards them with her blade over her head. Coming down with a thunderous blow, she cleaved the rat and his machete in two as they attempted a feeble block against the hundred pounds of steel dropping down toward them. It was a disgusting sight, the creature getting split from the top of the head to the crotch, and even after that the tiny bladesgirl swung her weapon back and forth, separating the parts further after they had been split apart by the initial slam. With that massacre and the other one slowly flailing towarss their inevitable demise as the acid ate them away, it looked like it was over before Adelle even got to fire her own guns.

Probably realizing that it was over, Iris' weapon dropped to the ground from her fragile-looking hands and she followed along, dropping to her knees and eventually curling up into a fetal position in the middle of some blood splatters that the split rat had left onto the floor.

Re: Steel Sky (Adelle/Mind Flayer)

Adelle was surprised about Liliana's weapon, that it was basically an acid sprayer of sorts, which caught the ratman full in the face. Adelle had to look away from the scene as Iris split the ratman in half, and then quarters, and while the acid basically melted their face off. Not wanting to see them suffer like that, no matter what they were about to do to her and Liliana, Adelle put a bullet in the back of that one's head, as Iris curled up into the fetal position on the floor, in the middle of the bloody area that ratman had left.

"Well... that was... rather disgusting. And, is she okay?" Adelle said, glancing over at Liliana for a moment, while Iris curled up. "Also, do you want to continue our conversation? I think we ought to go to another room, if you do," she then asked, reloading and then holstering her guns.

Re: Steel Sky (Adelle/Mind Flayer)

Liliana did not really say anything, walking up to this bizarre guardian of sorts and picking her off from the ground. "It's alright now... No more violence." she said to Iris as she put her back onto the bed. "She'll be fine... Well, as fine as one with her level of mental scarring can be. It's a story I'd rather not delve into." the mistress did eventually reply as she walked over to the intercom on her desk. "Send a cleaning crew over. They have some bigger detritus to clean up. And have Morgiana return here, I'd rather not have to tax Iris again if there are further vermin about." she spoke up, and a crew of maids soon made it in, loading the remains of the rats onto small carts and bagging them and their remains up before doing a quick cleanup on the floor and walls to remove any visible blood or meat chunks. And almost as soon as they retreated, the winged woman from before rejoined them, reporting that there had been a possible distraction attempt at the lower floors by a few other rats. "Now I suppose we can carry on." Liliana disagreed with the notion of leaving, and there was no real reason to move after the efficient maid cleanup. "Somehow, I don't see those being Miguel's underlings as he was never too trusting of subhumans or mutants."

Re: Steel Sky (Adelle/Mind Flayer)

Adelle didn't bother Liliana as she picked Iris up and put her gently onto the bed to rest. "It's... alright, you needn't talk about it you don't want to. Just... let her know I'm thankful she was here to help, when she wakes back up, okay," Adelle said softly, letting the frail girl rest.

After Liliana contacted the lower floors and got a cleanup crew in there, and a replacement for Iris, so the poor thing could rest, Adelle sat back down to continue talking, though she kept her face turned away from the sight until it was cleaned up, where she saw the winged woman from earlier. "Huh... so who did they work for I wonder. I doubt any of the other gangs would really attack you now, not when it's pretty well known what Miguel's doing," Adelle commented, sipping at her drink again, a stiffer alcoholic one to help calm the nerves, after the attack.

Re: Steel Sky (Adelle/Mind Flayer)

"Possibly the same group that had my sister killed? These new killers for hire that the fancy dress shooter is some part of? You did say that she was not on the best of terms with him, but might she be trying to win favor back? Even as it sounds she would not be one to do that, it might be a possibility?

Re: Steel Sky (Adelle/Mind Flayer)

"Hmm... I doubt that Margaret works with them, she's not the type, from what I've been told. But... she might have hired them to probe your defenses," Adelle replied, scratching her head, unsure of what to do.

Re: Steel Sky (Adelle/Mind Flayer)

"Somehow, I think she might be involved with that group more than just on a hiring level. If not a head, then she is one of the higher-ups in their mysterious organization. No real evidence for it but it's what I personally think, call it a boss' hunch." Liliana stated what she thought.

As she finished up the statement, there was a ripple in the air near the winged woman Morgiana as what looked like a rend in the fabric of reality itself was getting ripped apart for a small area. A large, glowing purple eye came into view from the dark hole, being bigger than Adelle's upper body in size. "Lookout complete, mistress. Did catch a fancy dress girl in one of the nearby buildings. She had been observing the events and had gotten busy with your sniper comrade. No wonder she had failed to notice the intrusion and report, she was a bit... tied up to make the report. I broke the fun times before it got too far, as it might have ended with Kat losing her life. Still, did not attempt to apprehend that girl, she appears to be more than a handful even for me." the eye spoke up, doing it somehow despite not having a clear method of doing so. Despite the intensity of the sound, it spoke with a calm, analytical manner. "You couldn't bring Kat over here? Just had to leave her in the building?" the winged woman asked back, to which the eye almost appeared to be shrugging at. "Well it was not what you asked of me. And besides..." the eye replied but was cut off as Morgiana told them to retrieve this girl. A sigh of galactic proportions followed and the rend in spacetime disappeared for a minute or two before reforming again, a large purple tentacle coming through the portal with a dark purple-haired girl in it's grip, the female getting deposited onto one of the couches as another tentacle brought a long, powerful rifle with a massive scope next to her. She was unconscious but did appear to be mostly fine, aside from the obvious signs of sexual assault that she had just recently been through. Her panties were down at her knees and her corset dress had been pulled down to expose her chest, and there was the whole matter of duct tape on her mouth and handcuffs secured behind her back to keep her from resisting. She was of average build, but had the fashion sense to make herself look attractive certainly.

It was a curious scene to observe, for sure.

"Hmm... maybe you're right. All I know is that she's almost killed me... twice now," Adelle replied with a thoughtful look on her face as she listened.

After that, when the winged girl, Morgiana, opened a rift in space, and pulled through... an enormous floating eye, Adelle jumped back on her seat and yelped, frightened and surprised by the sudden entry of the eye. She didn't say anything as it spoke, not that she figured anyone would hear her over its loud voice really. After the other girl was brought in, once Morgiana had ordered the eye to go get her, Adelle looked around at Liliana, and then Morgiana. "So um... who's she? And what happened to her, exactly?" Adelle asked curiously. "And the other girl was probably Margaret. It's good you didn't try and fuck with her, she'd likely have killed you, or Kat here," she added, as she looked the gun over that was brought with Kat here, obviously curious about it.

Re: Steel Sky (Adelle/Mind Flayer)

"Kat is one of my girls, she has been on regular lookout in one of the nearby buildings since the events at the meeting, just to provide some fire support from an unexpected position if there was an attack against the house again and provide information about events happening near the house. But it looks like this Margaret had taken the possibility of a distance lookout in mind and decided to see that she would not be providing a warning or the support fire. Kat would have taken care of the rats before they had even gotten on the balcony otherwise, she is an amazing shot with that rifle of hers." Liliana spoke up, having the skinny on who this girl was. As for the explanation of her current rather compromised position, the eye had the insight. "Well, that fancy girl had apparently gotten the drop on her before giving the invaders their signal to go. I did see some... unpleasant things being done by Kat there before they left once the attack was repelled. She was having fun with her while she observed the events, and probably wanted Kat to see it too. She almost cut her throat too after the failure was imminent, but my appearance prevented that from happening." the thing spoke, sounding as analyzing as it had before despite describing what had basically been girl-on-girl rape.

The gun was not something that Adelle had never seen before, having a fairly old style to it as it was a wood and metal gun, having no sign of plastics or alloys in it. It was almost as long as it's wielder, and probably had the caliber to match it's size and the hefty optics mounted on it. But while the gun itself was of an older style, it had a more recent-looking box mag and the optics were hardly old-looking.

Re: Steel Sky (Adelle/Mind Flayer)

"I see... well, I'm sorry that this happened to her. And it's good that you were there, w-whoever you are, exactly," Adelle replied to Liliana, and then the floating eye.

Sitting there looking the gun over, Adelle whistled softly at the beauty of it, having a love of guns. She gently picked the thing up and set it across her lap, unless Liliana, Morgiana, or the floating eye stopped her. If they didn't, Adelle would make sure the safety was on, and hefted it up to aim it out the window, looking down the scope if it had one, just to see what it looked like, before looking back to Liliana and apologizing about that.

Re: Steel Sky (Adelle/Mind Flayer)

"I don't think it is of much importance, what I am called. Just let it be known that I am not of your reality, mine being a very different realm of existence from the one you queer humans reside in." the eye replied as it looked at Adelle from the other side of the veil between their realities, sounding like it looked down at humans but still had a fair bit of interest towards them and their habits. Morgiana shrugged at the whole thing, having probably heard it a fair few times by now.

The attention towards the gun seemed to amuse Liliana, who made no mention of it, but Morgiana had some words for the wise. "Just make sure you are done with it before Kat wakes up, she might not take someone fondling her inheritance too nicely. But I suppose you are safe until we remove those cuffs from her wrists..." The eye had nothing to say, but probably had some thoughts only an extra-dimensional eye-tentacle being would have about it all. There was no safety on the thing, so it needed no adjustments before the observing of the optics could happen. The scope had a massive zoom, probably bigger than anything the busty girl could get from her usual store, so it was an impressive piece of long-range firepower.

Re: Steel Sky (Adelle/Mind Flayer)

"Um... okay. I suppose I won't ask any further then," Adelle replied to the floaty eyeball.

"A-Alright, it's just... it's such a beautiful gun, I can't help it. Hell, I'd beg her to let me be its personal cleaner if it meant I got to touch it," Adelle said, chuckling softly, before putting it back down, leaning it up against her seat. "Holy... that thing's scope is amazing. No wonder you had her set up out there. She could have sniped the hat off somebody at least a mile or two away with relative ease, with that kind of scope," Adelle went on to say, before moving to help get Kat unbound to get back up..

Re: Steel Sky (Adelle/Mind Flayer)

"She would probably enjoy hearing that praise. This girl loves her rifle almost more than she loves us here in the house." Liliana mentioned as she went off to her desk and rummaged a bit in there. Eventually she found what she had been looking for, a small, rather simple-looking key that she used to unlock the cuffs on Kat's wrists. It was probably one of those universal handcuff keys, and Liliana was probably not the strangest owner for that kind of thing, given her position. A place as varied as this probably had more exotic things to be found within it's walls than simple bondage and S&M, so a key like that was probably a dime a dozen item to be found in the house. The duct tape thankfully did not need more than a simple rip to remove it, and Liliana did the courteous thing afterwards, shifting her underling's clothes and pulling her panties back up to cover her properly again. Still, it looked like the sniper might not get back to consciousness in a bit.

Without a further word, the eye retreated, the dimensional rift closing as it disappeared from sight, leaving the ladies safely in their own side. If what the eyeball had said, Kat being unconscious was probably a good thing as she had taken a brief trip through the realm behind the veil.

Re: Steel Sky (Adelle/Mind Flayer)

Adelle smiling softly, as Liliana got up to get the key, and helped get Kat cleaned back up and whatnot along with Liliana, not minding helping, unless Liliana simply didn't want her to do so. "Well, I hope she'll be alright. Margaret, from what I've heard and found, is rather cruel now. The girls I work with, she used to be a close friend of theirs, before she just up and disappeared some time ago. None of them knew where she'd gone, or anything. But I know that Mariela, wants her dead. Or at least she really wants to beat her ass," Adelle said after Kat was cleaned up and whatnot.

"Well, was there anything else you'd like to know, or talk about?" Adelle asked curiously.
