I guess I'm in the minority when I say that I actually like the in-town sequences, basic as they are, as its something somewhat fresh from this circle. The mechanics for the ACT stages are easily the dullest of their 4 games, but I'll -gladly- take dull over the nightmare that was Passion Mortale's. As far as the animations, they're pretty much on-par with the other 3 games and I liked that you could change outfits, though I sorta wish different outfits led to different animations (like in Passion Mortale), though I understand that would have been quite a bit more work.
I'll also say that personally, as a kink, I don't "get" the powerbottom ones, but they're inoffensive; they don't do anything for me, but they don't bother me either.
