Graphics of this game are not something I care about, its the art and images. Not sure why people are fussing over the retro look.
BUT!
I have to admit I am not used to this, "Use item on this" feature, its getting pretty annoying especially when translators are having a hard time explaining to me what each item does.
I dont even know if I even used the book the 1st Town kid gives...I didnt even know he gave one after I talked to him then his mother. I dont see anything that sounds like a "book" in my inventory.

Currently stuck at the Pickaxe, How are you supposed to use/pick it up?
Also, 1st Town, Shower scene, I cannot get this one, what event do I need to trigger before this happens?

The pickaxe you have to look at the sprite careful. Most of the ones you see are broken in half, which you can miss at a quick glance. You have to find the whole one that's at the end of the dungeon. After that, you use the pickaxe on damaged walls.

If you're talking about her talking a shower period, you just go into the first house (one with the lady in pink standing by 3 beds and has a hole in her wall), walk in and just examine the tub. For the event, you do the same but at night. You'll be peeked on, tell the woman the next day, then go again at night.

If you're talking about her talking a shower period, you just go into the first house (one with the lady in pink standing by 3 beds and has a hole in her wall), walk in and just examine the tub. For the event, you do the same but at night. You'll be peeked on, tell the woman the next day, then go again at night.

Lemme guess, Sleeping/Resting, resets this timer?
I sleep a lot and I've never seen any color change D=
that would explain it.

You don't? There should be a color change between morning and noon.

Morning is a little darker and if you're outside town it should take about 10 or so steps for it to become noon. You'll know cause it'll suddenly get brighter. After another 100 or so steps it'll become dusk (red) and then about 10 more steps night. Then another 100 or so to hit morning again.

If you're sleeping a lot cause of HP issues, just take a shower instead. It recharges HP. Once you hit lvl 5 and learn heal, you shouldn't need to rest as much at least until you get your attack spells and find enemies with strong physical defense.

first time playing a "dragon quest" style..and wow the grind.

i just saved the princess and the king grants me passage... and now i'm stuck on what to do...i even made it all the way to the town where the underground arena is...not sure if i should have went that far.

what do!?

There should be a item in the inventory that turns it night like instantly too....in the part before healing potions are ((i forgot where i found it but you get it fairly earlie in the game))

I know theres already a bunch of pages in this thread.... but amongst them are a couple of pretty nice "walkthroughs".... it would be awesome if someone could make one in the right order just in 1 page though.... as theres parts on this and that spreaded here and there

If I'm not wrong, I believe it displays the number of times someone banged her until the status change for other things, like poison.

Oh i know how annoying Dragon Warrior games can be in grinding.

I could change the exp value to double or a item that increases EXP by 2 if that helps anything.
Think they changed the exp values for the later games for USA/EUR future releases if i'm not mistaken.

this game is item power up >>>>> exp..., hero potion can up all 5 status...

BTW invite change to allure or other better?

@Azunia, yeah you get the lantern in the first town after getting the key from the old man. It's down in the well.

Wasn't there already a completed partial here on ULMF?

Anyway, this game has amazing art and story, pretty sad though the 8-bit part, it could've been GOTY.

What's the status on this game in terms of translation? Currently at '5/10 ver1.10'. I can buy the game if someone can get a legit translation working. I really like to play the game and get into the story etc. etc. I know their is a somewhat guide on developers website but you'd have to manually piece everything together while alt-tabbing back an forth. Anyways, I'll check in later, maybe there is some hope?

Using it, it says:
そのほうこうには だれも いない。
Which roughly translates into:
Nobody in that direction.

And using it against a person it says:
しっぱいした…
Failed...

"さそう" which translates to invite, call out , entice
So my guess is that you can use it when your lewd level is high for random npc sex. >>,

As for the translation, ive gotten pretty far. 95% of the menu is done.
There are some minor things left. Items,skills etc. is a bit tricky, but nothing i can't handle.
Also, everything is in CAPS LOCK, because using small letters messes things up. But, it still playable. Just imagine that everyone is not screaming. x3
