The trick, if you don't have any +def equipment, is to avoid the flowers. They won't move if you don't enter their range. And carry lots of healing items.

Yeah, I didn't know what the items I was getting were until well after I was done playing :0. That might have made a bit of difference.

Also don't be an idiot and feed it to the main girl, since you can get any skill your monsters have for free in town. This includes those learned from skill books. She does NOT get anything from the recruits, though (dog, alchemist, evil bros, dragon) so that's another reason not to use them much.

Ah, that's how it works, ok. Shame about not being able to get skills from mercenaries, but I suppose if you could there would be no reason to ever use them at all. The dragon-girl is worth leveling though, she wipes the floor with everything with her basic attack and her dragon form is untouchable. Better still, she seems to be a permanent follower rather than a tavern one, though that might change at some point. I didn't understand the circumstances that led to her joining in the first place. Maybe lazy cat could explain.

Regarding his blog, the email responses are somewhat interesting. 1.09 is apparently going to be the last trial version barring some other necessary bugfix. There is no H scene planned for Nono (the corgi knight). He's entertaining the idea of introducing a pregnancy system into the game post-launch due to positive user feedback.

1.07b was supposed to be the final trial version, but 1.10b just went up...

-Fixed a crash with the dragon girl's 5SP move if you hit an ally (direct target or the AoE)
-Changed some dialogue while nude
-Mouse wheel can now be used to scroll through lists
-New level of "Balls" now shows none at all (210 points)
-Another level of larger breasts (210 points)

also:

Someone posts one more time about this not being out yet after it's gone idle for a week and I'm asking for the thread to be locked.

I get it, I do. I WANT IT TO BE OUT RIGHT FUCKIN NOW TOO! So bad in fact, that I'm really quite pissed that I saw this thread updated and thought (yet again) it was out.

In other news, I went back to save those evil-faced bandits and my god they are suicidal.

First try one died before I could even get past the flowers (I didn't even stop to fight anything). That idiot intentionally gets surrounded and kills himself by directing all of their attacks against him when he does 0 damage.

Second time I guess they missed enough cause he did the same thing as last time, but I reached him before he died and healed him. Then he runs into the flowers that I snuck past...

Seriously had to use my whole team just to baby this one idiot because he can die in one turn if I don't.

Hahaha, you know it's probably going to be absolutely necessary to have them for some reason or another if they're so hard to get?

Inb4 those two will become super useful sacrificial pawns/meatshields for diversion tactic. :p

Or... maybe the author knows some people will hate to see them on their party (even on the inactive roster) so he intentionally make them so hard to get? :D

This is a japanese h-dev we're talking about here. As far as they're concerned insanely hard = fun.
