Re: The Great Hunt (Tassadar) GM'ed by MAF
Tass: "You say that he healed himself of his wounds.... Do you know if he used sorcery, or powers born of his own spirit?"
RJ: "Of his own spirit. Before he separated from the old king, he shared the same views on sorcery. Though now he accepts whatever power he can get his hands on."
Tass: "The same vein? I don't follow. You mean he has gained new abilities since breaking from the true orc king?"
RJ: "No. He knows nothing of sorcery, but took in those who do. His views on the matter changed, so he takes advantage of the knowledge they possess by taking them into his ranks"
Tass: "Oh.... That is possibly worse. And his orc forces accept this?"
RJ: "... For various reasons, yes. Some see him as the next king, others are satisfied with the slaves he provides."
Tass: "Damn...... Has he no subordinates that are unruly? Someone we might turn against him?"
RJ: "As of when I left, none felt any disloyal thoughts, but this is due to his powers of manipulation. Many of his strongest have come under his service believing whatever they will about him. I recall even a woman who may be a demon lord under his service, under some foolish thoughts that she will become his wife and be considered of equal status as him... Likely with thoughts of betrayal down the line, but nothing easily exploitable currently."
RJ: "Wretched isn't it? Some even think he's a good person..."
Tass: "Wretched indeed.... But at least now I know of his guile. He will be difficult to deal with." Kavika paused and pondered for a moment, and then said; "If you can think of no further useful information, then I have only one more useful question. Do you know when his next search party will arrive? And, to make it two, does he only know our general area, or has he discovered where our camp is exactly?"
RJ: "... This is the flaw of his nature. There is one woman who has learned of your whereabouts, but she has not told him where you are... Because she wants to capture you for herself and gain his favor. The attack prior was of her doing."
Tass: "Who is this woman?"
RJ: "Luxanna, a human mage woman. Apparently her descent was from one of the other clans of Crolia, before hers was visited by his army. She was their leader, and was fooled by his lies. She spoke of her meeting with him, being offered a chance to join together, and to be one of his many brides. She challenged him to a match of minds, the details of which are unclear to me, but he came out the victor. After his victory, she claims he was honorable... In that he didn't take what he was owed through victory unless she, as the defeated, consented to it... The fool woman fell for him, likely ignorant that he would have ran over her village if she said no."
Tass: "Wonderful..... Still, putting an arrow through a sorcerer's eye is rarely difficult if done when they are unprepared. How many forces are under her personal command? How long would you expect it to be before she came for me personally? Does she remain by his side, or have her own encampment? Where do her talents lie, by your reckoning?"
RJ: "She had two hundred, I recall. They consisted of myself, and other rabble 'he' considered as expendable. She was not trusted with elites, though I suspect that was due to her deciding things on her own. They are the children of the slaves, fresh into this world, and corrupted. Though, there is one among her ranks... One of his own sons. All of his children are exceptional, so you had best be wary of the one with the blood red armor..."
Tass: "Blood red armor, got it."
Tass: "And her? Would she attempt to come for me herself if he were dealt with?"
RJ: "They would be together. He is tasked with guarding her life."
Tass: "Ahhhhh..... A dangerous pair, then."
Tass: "What sort of weapon does he favor? What sort of magic does she use?"
RJ: "I know nothing of such magics..." he said with disgust. "... Her magics shine bright... And summon force as if invisible giants attack her foes. I know not what it means... But he uses a tower shield to protect her. It shields both their bodies."
RJ: "His weapon is a long sword, as well"
Tass: "Very well," Kavika said, mulling this new information over. "You have been most helpful, and until I have thought of a way to free your son I can ask no more of you. The only thing that I would ask for beyond this is a description of your son, such that I could identify him if he were sent against me."
RJ: "His eyes are gray, and his hair is white, much unlike the other orcs that frequent his army. His name is Malkus... And if you see him... Tell him..." The orc adjusts himself a moment, swallowing a lump in his throat, before speaking again. "... Tell him I'm sorry for everything." the orc wished of Kavika, tears welling up and streaming down his eyes as he departed with his last words to his son.
Tass: "Very well.... Thank you, Loktar, and good luck to you."
RJ: "My time is over. You are his only hope now." Loktar stated, before moving to leave Kavika and Audi where they were.
Tass: Kavika watched the older orc go impassively, but once he was gone and surely well out of earshot the huntress immediately turned to Audi and said; "So.... What do you think? Trap?"
RJ: "This was an attempt to employ sympathy to get you to show weakness." Audi replied. "His master was likely well aware of his plight and suffering, and possibly hoped that you would try to help his hopeless case."
Tass: "I suppose that the makes me weak.... But at least not foolish," she said with a sigh, "I would like to help him.... But allowing myself to be enslaved would likely fail, as would a suicidal rescue mission. At best, I can see if the man's son can be spared."
RJ: "This will likely not end with this. You must be prepared to let his son die." Audi said with a cold voice. "Obviously if the chance arises, take it. However, I suspect you won't be allowed much chance of that."
Tass: "As do I," Kavika said, "Still.... Tis an unpleasant sort of price to pay." Turning away from the direction in which the orc had gone, Kavika moved to leave but then paused. She glanced back at the bottle of drug laying in the snow, even the sight of it causing her skin to itch and her blood to start rushing through, but then she glanced at Audi curiously.
RJ: "It's not poison. I detected no lie in his voice nor eyes." Audi replied. "Though, I will investigate the cure on my own. It's a dangerous liability that he has over you. Letting this go is far too risky."
Tass: "Agreed," she said, and then opted to take the bottle and stow it with her other things. "Come, you must meet the others," she said, and then headed back to camp with Audi hopefully in tow.
RJ: "Oh? You trust me?" Audi inquired with a hum. "I can't say I agree with that."
RJ: Regardless, Audi was casually tagging along behind her.
Tass: "As much as anybody else that I meet," Kavika said casually in reply.
RJ: "Too much," Audi stated, satisfied to leave it at that, before they found their way into camp. At first it seemed empty, before suddenly an ambush rushed out from all around. They weren't orcs, but friends. Kavika's allies were all rushing out, and their target was apparently Audi. "Your allies seem reliable though," she commented, before, in their group attack, Audi casually left them all swinging at air. Routa was knocked off of her mount, the female fighters were all disarmed, and Twig's spell missed before Audi came up to him, and suddenly smothered him in her breasts. He flailed, squirmed, but then went still in her arms as she pet his head. "This one's adorable." she cooed.
Tass: The assassin's skill was not missed by Kavika, who had raised a hand to halt her comrades just before Routa had rushed forward and been quickly unseated. After that she simply let it play out, and when she saw Twig go limp she simply sighed. "Yes, that he is.... And also taken," she said, and then, switching to the tongue of beasts by imagining the black wolf that she then addressed, Kavika said; "Be calm Shadow. She is not an enemy." He hadn't made an appearance yet, and Kavika suspected that he might be planning an ambush. Even if he wasn't, it would only come across as gibberish to the rest, and Kavika would then say in a language that the others could understand; "Calm yourselves. This one is no enemy."
RJ: Shadow, as Kavika would learn, hadn't moved from where his usual spot was. It seemed the others couldn't get him to rouse, unlike Kavika and her influence. "I know your associate isn't hostile. She is giving off a passive scent." he replied. Then, Audi would chuckle and let Twig go. "No worries, I'm not what I appear." she stated firmly. The others gathered themselves, while Clavicus was coming back into camp with a bunch of firewood. "Hey guys, I just-HOT MAMA!" he exclaimed, before rushing up to Audi and kneeling in front of her, taking one of her hands. "Welcome to our camp, prestigious guest. I am Clavicus, the most respected member of this camp. How may I pleasure... Please you?" he inquired. "Let go of my hand, maggot." Audi said with a sudden unapproachable aura. "Yes ma'am..." Clavicus cowered away.
Tass: "That would be Clavicus.... The liar," Kavika stated flatly, "Despite his.... Unseemly qualities.... He is one of us as much as anyone else." Glancing at Shadow, she gave the dire wolf a casual nod before strolling over to him and inquiring; "How do our pups fare? Must they be fed soon, or has your warped nature been passed on to them?"
RJ: When Kavika drew near, her question was answered, as a group of eight of her pups came rushing out of a hole in the canyon Shadow had dug. They had grown a bit, but were still tiny in comparison, and were sniffing and wagging their tails at their mother. Some seemed interested in her breasts, seeking something natural. "... Young?" Audi inquired, ignoring Clavicus. "And a horrible warped beast too... Have you some nature of taming these wretched creatures? And... Who gave birth to their young?" Audi inquired slowly, as if accusing Kavika of having broken a taboo.
Tass: "They are mine," she admitted calmly, "It was part of an agreement that was mutually beneficial, and while it was certainly taboo, I do not regret it. The one who rendered Shadow's services to me gave me a tool that would allow me to communicate freely with the beasts of the wild."
RJ: Audi instantly looked displeased. It was as if she carried Kavika's mothers will on the subject, and was ready to scold her just as harshly for it. However, she was not her mother, so Audi restrained herself visibly. "So it was Wolfe, was it...? Your mother won't be happy to know you had taken up with some of that woman's doings. I assume the same is for that boar. Everyone here has likely been tainted by that woman's desire to rut with beasts..." Audi said, not endorsing Kavika in the slightest, while Shadow let out a low growl. "For one of your appearance who has the scent of a male, this one has a lot of nerve giving me that kind of look." Shadow growled.
Tass: "Do not concern yourself with her," Kavika said to Shadow, and then turned to Audi while kneeling to give some affection to her canine children. "Yes, it was Wolfe," Kavika said calmly, "And yes, Routa's mount is her own child, though that is not of Wolfe's doing. I have taken up with nothing, and given that my mother allowed herself to be captured by orcs, I could care less on her opinion of the allies that I call upon in the course of rescuing her. As for my allies, I leave them to do as they choose while I do what must be done, so you may take your scolding up with them if it truly bothers you so much."
RJ: Audi was taken aback by how firm Kavika was with her decision, even tending to her own children, who began dipping their heads under her shirt to seek out and nurse upon her breasts. "What am I to say when you give me the same look Wolfe gave us all those years ago?" Audi relented reluctantly. "But you must be aware, that like this, you are marked like that of a beast. Just like Wolfe, surely other creatures will pick up on your scent and see you as... I believe she called it... A Beast Queen. Being sought out to give birth to more of those things is more trouble than it's worth, is it not?"
Tass: Kavika's armor was in the way of her children, leaving them to paw at her chest, and she was not yet in the policy of public nudity so she was content to leave it at that. "I will deal with that as it becomes a problem, since I am likely already so marked. Before I found my mother's desolated camp, I was raped for several days in the den of a great boar who had conquered Routa, marking my hunt as a failure despite that I had slain my target."
RJ: "You did not fail your hunt!" Routa argued from afar. "She succeeded, but chose to try and save me instead of leaving with her success. The failure is with me, and I dragged her down as well." Routa said in her defense. Audi nodded at that. "I would have lost a lot of faith in you if I simply had heard you failed... As your mother's daughter, failing such a hunt would be shameful, but I suppose such were special circumstances." Audi sighed. "Though, I am here to help... And I truly don't want to say this, but... If you are going down Wolfe's path, then perhaps you can use that tool to tame a great beast said to be in this area. The demons who came here seemed to bring the monstrosities with them, giant half-beasts... Minotaurs would surely help you if you tamed them. They're being held by the demons in a man-made cave complex north-east of here."
Tass: "What's a minotaur?" Kavika asked, having never heard of such a creature before. "If it is demonic, then it is not to be trusted. Still... A common enemy is reason enough to investigate it, assuming you mean the demons that we had heard rumor of attacking the orcs. I had considered going to meet with them at some point, and see if they were friend or foe."
RJ: "I know that they are dangerous. Friend or foe... That's hard to tell. A minotaur though, is a beast with legs of a bull, a powerful muscular torso and arms of a human, and the head of a bull as well. The demons keep minotaurs inside complex mazes which act as a defense against intruders. Orcs that try to pass through are torn apart by the beastly minotaurs within. Demons can only charm them through seductive magic, otherwise they would seem impossible to control... Though I won't be surprised if you manage a way"
Tass: "Indeed..... You think perhaps more highly of my persuasive techniques than you should.... Or less of my modesty than I like. Either way, it is something worth considering if they are so ferocious. For now, make yourself at home as you will, I have other business to attend to." Gathering up her puppies in her arms, Kavika headed toward her tent, and once she was halfway there she called back; "Clavicus, with me. Now."
RJ: Clavicus gave a start as he was called out to, as he was helping build the fire up with the logs he obtained. He gave his affirmative reply before hurrying along to follow her, looking confused as to why she'd need him. He didn't seem bothered at all by the pups. In fact, Clavicus was also fairly close to Shadow most of the time, suggesting they had some interaction. "I thought of both," Audi replied, before asking Twig about getting a hot bath. Twig was one to prepare hot baths for the few men and women. So, Audi seemed instantly inclined to join the men's side, much to Twig's confusion. In the tent with pups in tow, Clavicus came into the tent with an aloof expression. "Is, uh... Something the matter? You look tense, but... Oh, well, you always look tense I guess." he chuckled.
Tass: "I am always tense," Kavika pointed out coldly, "In case you forgot, I have the responsibility of every life in this camp resting on my shoulders, alongside many nebulous others." Heaving a deep sigh, Kavika shook her head as she unclasped her armor, letting the primitive protective garb fall to reveal the shirt she wore beneath it. That was soon stripped off too, and as she lifted two of her pups to allow them to suckle, she said in a more measured tone; "I am sorry, Clavicus. We are all far too cruel to you, for your past misdeeds and your general demeanor. I count myself among those who are unkind to you, and whether or not you bring it on yourself is unimportant." Turning to face the man with her bare chest and the cubs nursing at it, she continued; "I know you are afflicted as I am by the poison of the orcs. How bad is it?"
RJ: When she began to take notice, Clavicus looked rather awful. He carried a dumb expression, though upon closer inspection, that seemed due to some third party inducing a stupor into him. Seeing her take her shirt off and revealing her breasts, Clavicus stared for a prolonged amount of time, even as the pups began to latch on and drink her milk. He was quite clearly getting hard, and seemed quite lost. When she began to go into withdrawal, he looks like how she felt. Still, after a moment, he laughed and waved his hand. "I've been managing... Heh, nice tits by the way." he said, now leering in a more obvious way than before, though it seemed forced.
Tass: "Please, don't evade the question like that again," Kavika stated in a tone that was close to begging without being quite there. "I can see how strung out you are, and letting the withdrawal get any worse might weaken you to the point that you would be useless to me. Speak the truth, so that I do not need to read it in your body language."
RJ: When he was found out, he hung his head, looking rather distressed. "Man... You know what it's like... Under those drugs effects, you even kissed me. If I went off and took some, I'd attack somebody. What else you want me to do?" he said, looking like he wanted to be angry but had too much a tired expression to manage that.
Tass: "The control is difficult, I know.... I am surprised that you've managed it, to be honest. Which is why I'm going to give you some as soon as my young are fed, and subsequently make good on our earlier agreement."
RJ: Several young were already satisfied with the milk they recieved, leaving half left, and two of those already almost done with their fill. "... Agreement?" Clavicus inquired, confused. He stared like a cursed fool for a while, thinking on what she said and straining his drained mind, before his eyes acquired a little more color as they went wide. His lips moved as if trying to make words, but clearly failed to do so. Instead, he remained in awe at the idea of being allowed to link himself together with her. The tent in his pants was now impossibly big, and he remained there, staring at Kavika as if enthralled, before his mouth finally managed to spit something out. "Yes, please..."
Tass: "That's what I thought," Kavika stated, "You will wait for me to finish this and see to some other business first. And you will not release inside of me, period. I haven't the free time to gather the ingredients necessary to ensure that I do not become pregnant, and have no desire to carry your child."
RJ: "A-anal," Clavicus quickly replied, his memories of that time now likely all too clear as he didn't seem too different from the wolves with that tongue hanging out. Regarding the wolves themselves, the last ones were taking their fill before curling up next to her and each other for warmth.
Tass: Kavika frowned in distaste. She hadn't attempted that yet save for when the orcs had raped her, and hadn't intended to again.... Though it did solve that particularly problem quite effectively. "Fine. We likely won't have the presence of mind for anything else under the drug's influence anyway."
RJ: Clavicus began to fist pump religiously.
Tass: Once her cubs were taken care of and contentedly sleeping, Kavika gathered up her shirt and put it on.
Tass: 'I am going to regret this' she thought to herself, and then said; "Wait here. Don't touch anything." Gathering up her cubs, she took them back to the den that Shadow had created for them and then explained to the others, with obvious distaste, what she planned to do.
RJ: Routa gave no reaction, not seeming to care what Kavika chose to do, but still showing support for it. The rest however, looked rather disgusted. "W-with him!?" Ange exclaimed. "I think we can all agree here when we say that you are of a league he can only dream of!" En'raya enforced. "I would take your place, Kavika, on the grounds that your agreement was not solid. Maybe... That word does not mean such a pact was sealed." Routa announced, offering to take her place if Kavika desired. Meanwhile, Audi was watching Twig, who didn't seem too bothered by it. She remarked on how calm he was. "Kavika isn't doing it because she loves him. She loves me, so I'm happy with that." he stated.
Kavika's Quest Options!
