The demon had probably had his(?) fill of painting her, but maybe they were still planning on keeping her around for more. Regardless, the miko did not want to know the reason. She struggled against her chains, testing them just in case there was something sloppy in them. Assuming she found them secure, Kagura would look for something that she might be able to get help from.

The chains appear to be as strong as they come. However, the chain holding her arms above her head appears to be affixed to a nail on the wall behind her. If Kagura would manage to stand up, she might get it loose, whatever good that would do. There's also a piece of metal wire on the desk. Someone of rogue-like persuasion might be able to open the locks of the chains with it. It is almost as if the demon had left the means of escape there on purpose, not quite within reach...

With some looking around, Kagura makes several observations about her surroundings, finding that escape was indeed possible, if she just made it quick and effective. It was looking like a fairly made-up set-up she saw, but the miko would not say no to the chance of freedom. Testing the foot chains, she looked for the best possible position for her legs before grabbing at the arm chains with her hands and pulling up as much as she could to hopefully make it to her feet. If she did, she would start yanking down as hard as she could to hopefully dislodge the nail or the chains from the wall.

Kagura manages to precariously pull herself on her feet. Testing the chain, she finds that the nail is on tighter than it looks. Throwing her entire weight on it causes her hands to slip and would send her sprawling on the ground if it wasn't holding her up. Her third attempt proves to be more successful, with the nail bending and sliding loose, though Kagura almost loses her footing again. Now she would only work the chains holding her ankles loose, or she could take the wire and attempt to pick the locks.

After some pulling up, Kagura made it to her feet. The tugging process went about as smoothly as expected a reckless use of force to go, one of the shots almost making her trip and faceplant onto the floor. But she did succeed on the third try, both dislodging the chains and still keeping her balance. From there, she would reach for the metal bit. She had not tried to do anything resembling lockpicking before, but now was the time to learn apparently. Fiddling around with the lock, she listened for clicks as she poked around the metal piece into the keyhole and moved it around.

It takes long minutes of fumbling in the metaphorical darkness, but long last Kagura hears a click, and the lock holding her wrist opens. Three more to go. Suddenly Kagura hears heavy footsteps from adjacent room.

The lockpicking took an unnecessarily long amount of time for the priestess, the realization coming to her that this was probably the bad choice she had made. One lock still opened, but the time it took was not good at all as she had three other locks still keeping her down. There were some footprints to be heard now too, so she knew there was very little time left. It might not be because of Kagura and her actions that the mover was going around, but she knew they would probably come for her sooner than later. "I can't keep it going like this... time to change it up." she thought, dropping the metal picking piece and shifting to simply trying to worm her way out from the remaining chains. Picking the locks was just not an option anymore.

Kagura tries to pull the a chain off of the floor, but only manages to fall on her ass. As she stands up, the miko can feel what little dignity she has left shrinking slightly, but on the second try, she manages to make the chain snap off of the link embedded in the floor. After several attempts, the last chain gives in as well, though the effort almost makes her see stars.

With caution thrown to the wind, Kagura goes wild on the chains, trying to get free with strength or unintentional dexterity, the former sounding more possible in the moment. It doesn't start too well with her taking a violent sitdown, but the follow-up made her feel a good bit better about herself. It took more effort than that to rid herself of the remaining chains, but through a show of strength that she would not have expected from herself, the shrine maiden did eventually get out of the remaining piece of restraints, leaving her fairly winded but a little happier than she was while still held down.

Taking a quick look around the surroundings, Kagura looks for her gear, if any of it was there. She wouldn't mind losing the weird bondage equipment, but she did have the desire for at least some kind of clothing, and if there was anything wearable, she would throw it on as quick as possible before going to the door and peeking into the corridor outside. Assuming it was safe, she would move out carefully and silently to another possible door.

Kagura discovers her gear gone, so naked she must go. Outside, the hall is empty, except for the shadows that look deeper, in the light of mid-afternoon. They still waves at her, though.

"Oh great..." Kagura thought about her naked state and the lack of her gear, which the demon thing had taken out with him. Well, it was just something she would need to go with for now.

The hallway was mostly empty, the shadows being the only things there besides Kagura herself as she entered. Just to make sure, she peeked back into the room she had woken up from earlier, maybe hoping to find something there. After checking that out, she moved to a new door, not throwing it out carelessly but instead peeking inside with some effort to not make it obvious to any potential occupants that she was indeed there.

Kagura's bedroom is in the same state it was when she left it, with none of her gear in sight. The next room Kagura opens leads to a pitch-black staircase, likely the same one she saw when she first arrived in the manor. Were she to continue checking out the other room, she'd come across another bedroom, with a skull placed upon the bed. It seems to be staring at her.

With nothing in the bedroom of her earlier awakening, Kagura moved on, finding more strangeness in the coming room as she was met by a lonely skull on a bed in the next room after the stairs. The stairs are more relevant to her attention though, and she makes her way to them, hoping to find herself back at the hall and maybe if the spirits allowed it, the storehouse where the phantoms had been earlier. If she remembered correctly, her original gear would still be there for her to retrieve and maybe allow herself to be somewhat ready for further threats.

As Kagura takes her first step into the pitch-dark staircase, she can feel something stare at her. The door starts closing up behind her and several steps in, she feels cobwebs against her skin.

The stairway was dark as the night, and the door was already closing behind her, but Kagura was not sure how far she would get just looking through the doors back there. It might even end up with her getting caught by the demon person again, and that would probably just result in her getting back into a bondage situation in a lonely room. So, despite the feeling of being watched, she went on onward, trying to avoid the cobwebs as much as possible but probably not succeeding too spectacularly as she was still in pitch black and could not really locate them with any other sense besides touching.

Continuing downwards, the cobwebs keep growing thicker until Kagura stumbles and falls forward, only to get caught by a web thick enough to hold her weight. It's also sticky enough to hold her weight, and certainly too thick to penetrate without some sort of tool beyond her hands. It might be just her imagination, but for a moment it seems as there's something moving the web besides just her. Still, the web doesn't seem to be as thick below her knees, so she might be able to crawl underneath it as soon as she gets herself free.

Going as carefully as she could, Kagura still ended up tripping on her own feet as she tried to avoid the steadily growing thicket of webs. But it was not a completely bad thing as she did not end up flying down the entire flight of stairs and breaking something in her body, instead landing on an alarmingly thick web that had the needed strength to catch her. While it had saved her, remaining on the web did not feel like a good idea to the very naked miko, especially as there appeared to be an equally big spider or something like one lurking somewhere nearby. Tugging against the web, she sought to free herself and hopefully make it to the little gap before the lurking menace made it to her and ate her or something. This day, it was just one moment in restraints after another. Who would have imagined that a humble country shrinekeeper would end up going through weird and kinky adventures like this...
