The neutrality/indifference thread!

Re: The neutrality/indifference thread!

I'm leaning towards the non-tapping at this point. Girls that put that much time into a costume tend to be drama queens, and while they can be decent in the sack, it is SO not worth having to listen to them speak to me. Give me a slightly less attractive, slightly more emotionally-balanced woman, and I'm a happy camper.

Granted, I'm pre-judging the SHIT out of her right now, and that could all change based on our first conversation. In my experience, though, the ones that look like ducks, smell like ducks and quack like ducks are usually ducks.

How is the quacking and smelling part relevant if you just said you only know what she looks like?

Re: The neutrality/indifference thread!

Heh. I never said it was a perfect analogy...

The not really hate, and not really love thread.

So we have stuff that happened that you hate, stuff that you loved, and stuff that made you feel kinda happy. What we don't have is a thread for things that mildly annoys you, or just something that happened, but isn't really important enough to go to the MA. Basically, stuff you wanna tell people, but they don't really care about it.

So I can start off by saying that I got some fuel in my eyes while I was cleaning our primus stove. Stupid, and I had to "rinse for at least ten minutes" with the ...eye cleaning liquid. Didn't really sting all that much though, unpleasant, but not overly so.

In addition, we had to fall through the ice on a lake, as part of our training. The water was really cold, yet not so cold as the air. Around -20 degrees celsius. Anyways, that was actually pretty fun, apart from freezing my everything off.

@Zoto: Awsm! itll b jus like a feed!

Re: The not really hate, and not really love thread.

I was gonna say...

Re: The not really hate, and not really love thread.

I'd merge them but that link done gone and broked.

Re: The not really hate, and not really love thread.

I think it was this one.

Seems to me if you're indifferent about something, you wouldn't take the time to post about it. Whatever floats people's boats though. ^_^

Yeah, but then you've got to account for those people who want others to know EVERYTHING they're doing.

Re: The not really hate, and not really love thread.

Perhaps my eyes are bypassing it, but I don't see "post everything that you're doing" or anything like it for that matter, in the first post.

Though I don't like the name of the thread, and a few threads exist that serve the purpose well enough, this thread is for sharing events that are not so much announcements.

Anyway.

I'm, like, almost done with the head to my scalemate.

Re: The not really hate, and not really love thread.

Ok, so anything that isn't really an important announcement and carries neither a negative or positive emotional weight to it?

p. much

Really, I don't see the use in having like a hundred threads about announcements, hating, and loving. Why not just have a thread titled, like, "The Thread" or something?

Re: The neutrality/indifference thread!

Ok, so yeah, there already was something very similar. And now I can kind of remember when the last one was made. And it seems that some people think it is a stupid idea. Well some people thought Twitter was never gonna make it, and SMS was regarded as epic-fail, yet still they are now very integrated in our society. I think that this will make it where the other threads have faltered.

Anyways, today our whole company was gassed, just to check whether or not our gas masks were working. Then they had us take them off, so we would know what it felt like. Before we were gassed, our officer told us that we would get a strong feeling we were dying, but it was, he assured us, completely safe. He also told us that one in a thousand is immune.
So one by one we took the masks off, and had to report to the officer, then he would ask us a couple of questions, and finally ask whether or not you like it. My answer after lots of coughing, spitting and generally being almost unable to breathe was "Fuckin' horrible, sir"(only the Norwegian equivalent)
I actually learned something from it though. I am not immune:p

Re: The neutrality/indifference thread!

So you felt "fuckin horrible". But were indifferent to the experience? I gotta say, if something makes me feel fuckin horrible, I'm putting it in the hate thread.

And as far as twitter being intergrated into our society is concerned... well, people will buy into pretty much anything that makes them feel important, or as if others care about thier opinion.

Edit: That 1 goddamn wrong letter is fixed, so fuck off you needle dicked loser.

I am indifferent to life. Not too bad, yet not perfect. I just beat the thread.

Re: The neutrality/indifference thread!

People who try to guilt me into eating food I don't feel up to eating by saying, "There are children starving in Africa!".

I am not one of those children, if you don't want the food to go to waste why don't you eat it?

Ok, yeah, I see your point. At the time it happened it wasn't particularily pleasant, but after I got out of the shed it was a nice experience. The whole thing with being gassed, is that it's a sort of tradition. And although it feels pretty horrible right then and there, it's fun afterwards, you laugh and talk about it. So although the thing in itself is horrible, it's not hate, but since it isn't something I'd like to do again it's not really love. It's difficult to explain, but hence the name the thread had before it got merged. The not really hate, and not really love thread. Did that clarify?

Also, you know what I meant. If it is very important, you call the person, right? If it's something not really that urgent, you send a message. Example: Gonna be a little late:p = Message. But. "Going to spend a couple of months in hospital. I'm having a surgery, and might not survive." Is something I would have called to say. Right?

Re: The neutrality/indifference thread!

Strangely enough I myself am pretty indifferent to the whole CS gas thing. I wouldn't say I'm one of the immune since it does sting a little, especially after a fresh shave, but I wouldn't say I hated it either. Basically the stuff doesn't bother me all that much though it did always seem like a wasted day of training that could have been spent doing more important things. So yeah pretty neutral on CS.

Re: The neutrality/indifference thread!

I'm pretty indifferent about this thread, honestly.
