Agreed. Also, generally my posting is inversely related to my social life... so the more I'm getting laid, the less likely it is that you'll see me on the forum.

My recent level of activity is indicative of my recent dry spell.

On the other hand, it can also mean that I'm working long hours, sometimes.

Honestly, I'm with them. I'm actually really glad things have been going well for you. It seems to have done a great deal in evening you out. And because of that I understand your want to share it with us, but the best advice I can offer to you for anything great happening is the phrase "Act like you've been there."

When you do something great or something great happens to you, by choice or by luck, the best outward reaction is almost no reaction. If you feel like it was something given to you, you give back. If it was something you earned, you continue to try hard. But instead of acting shocked or elated, the best is probably just nod your head and smile, and internalize all the positive you feel from it.

For instance, I was pretty vocal, given the opportunity if it was the topic of discussion, about the fact I was a virgin when I was first on these forums. I wasn't saying it everyday, but the people who at least knew me knew that fact as well. Then one day I just stopped saying that. It probably took over a few months before I actually told anyone, and it was only because they asked. Even when people still said I was one, I didn't stop them and correct them. I just knew that what it meant to me and what it would mean to everyone else were two completely different things.

My most recent post from "The Love Thread" where I raved about Star Trek TNG garnered a one-word positive rep: "ENGAGE!"

I don't know who you are, fellow fan, but you made me laugh pretty hard... I almost choked on my drink. YTMD.

Well, twice now, I've received reps that seem to be from my girlfriend... But aren't... I think...

One was for this post (It's about math and what is real math and what is not.) and simply said "I love you. <3" That tied in well with the fact that at the time of the rep she was stranded on an airport for 4 hours with nothing to do but surf the internet, and she had made a comment the previous day that she loved it when I was being geeky...

Second was for this post in the hate thread where I asked what benefits there were of my girlfriend not being allowed to sleep over. It said "Stoooopid." Which is exactly the way she writes it...

She has denied involvement in the first incident, and I suspect it's not her this time either...

WHO HERE REPS LIKE MY GIRLFRIEND?! (I currently suspect Darkfire, on no other grounds than him being a woman...)

Either way I horribly object! Ever since my twin left the mirror world he's been giving me a bad rap, lurking where he shouldn't be lurking. What next, saying he's going to the (insert hated forum of choice here) forums!?!

I don't know who you are, but I don't blame you. The only reason I didn't immediately shut him down is because it seemed like he responded to the fact I told the situation to stop and he seems like the type to post long arguments and I don't feel like telling him why he's wrong. Plus dark started in on the thread as well, and honestly it's everyone else who won't shut up even after the mods post in the thread.

Seriously people. If the cop tells everyone to move along, don't stand over his shoulder and go "YEAH! WHAT'S UP NOW?" Cuz I really wanna slap you across the face with a nightstick

Does this actually work? Seems to sound counter productive to me, but I don't usually have caffeine containing drinks at home, so I wouldn't know.

I didn't see an answer provided, so I'll say yes. Caffeine itself will help constrict blood vessels, and if your headache is caused by swollen vessels then caffeine will alleviate that pressure.

I just got a gray rep with no explanation for this. I don't even know if the mysterious stranger is cheering me on or trying to stab me. :confused:
