I'm just not getting too hyped just in case it doesn't meet my expectations. Not to say that it's going to be lame, but if you set expectations high, you might be disappointed.

I normally fully agree to that, but it's pretty hard to do when every single post they do is just to tell us how awesome it will be without showing anything.

I'm just bothered by poor updating. You can't give signs of a deadline and then not produce or you lose any credibility. I understand the excitement to get the product out, but don't say when parts will come out when they don't. People feel strung along

I just hope they don't make a habit out of hyping the game too much before we have anything tangible at our fingertips.
I mean, yeah, I was pretty cool with Vanilla being in the game (even if it was an April Fools Joke and she was only going to be in the first level in a how to play section anyhow), but it just seems to me that April Fools Day just didn't stop for them on April 2nd. Plus if you count the whole neoeclipse scare, which was pretty nerve racking to me at least.
I appreciate that the project is being worked on, Lord knows I do. But just don't go pulling a Valve on us if you know what I'm saying....

All enemies and bosses are done.
Stages are done, they need to get detailed.

While I'm all for this, it's probably better not to prod them on about it too much. We don't want them to get annoyed and cancel the project just for that. No matter how you slice it, we'll have to wait till they decide to release it regardless.
Again, I really don't like them tooting their horn for the sake of obnoxiously hyping the game. There's a right and wrong way to build up hype after all.

Eh, I'm okay with letting them have their fun. Yeah, it sucks that they cocktease so much, but they're also doing all this for free. Not like they have any obligation to even add more to the game with each released version.
That's the way I feel about it at least.

Maybe I'm an idealist, but I feel anyone's obligation goes as far as their word. I, myself, have shut down many a persons on this section for complaining about long waits, but those were with games that had no announcements or push backs, so starting a fit would be called being impatient in that context.
In this context? Any perceived impatience really does not fall on the users. Love the game. Love the authors and artists. Can't wait for the thing to get released. Don't like being lied to, even if it's inadvertent or a gift, over and over.

My point was that bitching and moaning that a FREE game that is still in active development has been delayed does nothing except annoy people like me, who see a thread for a game they're waiting for has been bumped and has two pages of nothing but people acting like complete cry babies that believe they're somehow entitled to getting regular updates on time.

-Shut up
-Wait patiently
-Don't bump the thread unless its something meaningful like relaying a news update or to announce the actual game update is out.
-Be glad and happy when its released.
