Touhou CYOA - Second edition

Re: Touhou CYOA - Second edition

Of course she is. Nothing comes close to the sheer awesomness that is Rumia.

A

Let's crack some skulls!

Re: Touhou CYOA - Second edition

Byakuren sighs, but accepts the challenge presented by the fairy. They both back away from each other a good distance before facing off. As they stare each other down, the bird girl calls out
"GO!"

Not surprisingly at all, the fairy's powers are based on ice. But Byakuren finds her attack pattern all too predictable. As she moves gracefully with the flow of icy projectiles, one Purple Mist Omen is launched, ensuring a quick and easy victory for Byakuren.

As the fairy recovers from the attack, she quickly gets up
"What was that!? I can't lose like that! I'm the strongest! CHEATER!" the fairy shouts and flails at Byakuren, but the other five girls are quick to point out the weaknesses in the fairy's attack pattern and strategy. Barraged with embarassing remarks about her lack of ability, the fairy admits defeat
"Oh alright, you can have the honor of calling Cirno your friend" the fairy says, pouting but offering her hand to Byakuren anyway. As they shake hands, yet another girl enters from the nearby forest. This one has the aura of a wise and kind person about her. She wears a long blue dress and has light blue hair that reaches almost down to the ground. Topping her head is a hat that instantly makes Byakuren think of lunch boxes.
"Are you getting into meaningless fights again, you dummy?" the girl says as she walks towards the fairy. As she grabs the Cirno's head with both hands, a quick look of panic overcomes the previously pouty fairy. The girl rears her head back and lands a massive headbutt on Cirno, knocking the ice fairy to the ground.
"No food for you." she says at the still-downed Cirno as she rubs her forehead

The entire group move to a nearby food stand, run by the bird-winged girl introducing herself as Mystia. Among the meal of grilled lamprey, Byakuren gets to know each member of this curious group. They are students of the long-haired girl Keine, with the exception of Letty, who is more adult than the rest of the party. As Byakuren shares her story with Keine, the teacher tells her about a cache of scrolls she keeps
"Maybe you might find some good knowledge in them? You can come over to see them if you like"

A. Go with Keine

B. Leave for the mountains as originally planned

A We need to be stronger grawl

and knowledge is power

Re: Touhou CYOA - Second edition

Keine headbutt is scary... I saw what a full-power headbutt from her does in a doujin. Long story short: head goes splat.

A

Because one should not waste an opportunity to learn more. Plus, I like to read.

Nineteen... One more, and it shall be complete.

Re: Touhou CYOA - Second edition

I'm going to go with A as well, it should improve our combat ability / magic we can use.

Re: Touhou CYOA - Second edition

A) CAAAAAAAAVED!

Re: Touhou CYOA - Second edition

B Get up that mountain. Show some professionalism! We want the creepy vampire queen to like us and drink our blood again!

Re: Touhou CYOA - Second edition

How long could it take to read A cache of mystery scrolls? Byakuren is all about scrolls anyway. Can't really pass it up.

Re: Touhou CYOA - Second edition

(Remilia? Creepy? I think she's rather cute)

"It'll be nice to have you as a guest" Keine replies with a smile as Byakuren accepts her proposal. They finish their meals at Mystia's stand before leaving for Keine's house

Keine's house is a modest cottage on the village outskirts. Once the girls enter, Byakuren finds the place to be full of scrolls.
"This... might take a while to go through" she thinks as she eyes through some of them
"Surprised? I am a kind of historian, besides my educational profession" Keine says, as if reading Byakuren's mind.
"But it's very late. Feel free to sleep here, and read to your heart's content come tomorrow." With these words, the girls set up futons and sleep for the rest of the night

Waking up late the following morning, Byakuren finds Keine gone.
"She's probably gone to teach those students she had" she thinks, rolling open the first scroll from the well-organized library of such scrolls. The day passes as Byakuren reads through the scroll library. Keine comes back home at late afternoon, to take care of the house and eventually settle down to write another scroll. The ladies stay quiet, not wanting to bother the other's scholarly work.

At night, Keine suddenly stands up, leaving the scroll there.
"There's something that requires my attention. Don't worry though, I'll return shortly" Keine assures Byakuren as she steps out of the door. Soon, the sounds of conversation can be heard outside. They go on for a while, but change to sounds of panicked surprise and eventually, chilling screams of absolute terror. Once again, her security starts to concern her as Byakuren sneaks to the door and inches it open only so much that she can take a look outside.

Her eyes widen as she witnesses the sight outside the door. Several corpses lie on the ground, torn apart by some powerful beast. A girl dressed in green holds a man up in the air, with her clawed hands inside the man's chest. After a few seconds of torment, the man is tossed to the ground.
"Is that.. Keine?" Byakuren thinks as she looks at the beastly girl. She bears Keine's physical look along with the same hair and dress, but green in color. The hat is gone, replaced by a pair of long, curving horns. Even the ribbon wrapped around the other horn doesn't make her less scary to behold. As Byakuren looks on, the blood-soaked girl moves on to tearing the still-living man apart with her sharp claws, laughing in sadistic glee as she does so.

A. Go out and try to calm the girl down

B. Stay inside the house and wait for Keine to return

A) CAAAAAAVED! (again)

Re: Touhou CYOA - Second edition

The above update makes me glad we're leaving vodka and moving on to something stronger. I might need it.

A

This can't end well.

Re: Touhou CYOA - Second edition

A Yes. We would like to meet the homicidal maniac after killing a bunch of scrubs. What could possibly go wrong?

Re: Touhou CYOA - Second edition

B. Seems like the smart thing to do.

Re: Touhou CYOA - Second edition

B does seem like the smart thing to do, but in overwhelming support for doing the opposite, I guess I'll join in. Reckless and potentially fun option. A.

Re: Touhou CYOA - Second edition
