"Copy that Copper. Soon as I have the data core here I'll come help."

A sudden groaning metal noise was heard over the radio, and then he spoke quickly. "Something else is on the Cruiser here with me, not sure if it's friendly or not, doesn't sound it though. Requesting radio silence."

With that there was a click and the radio simply went dead.


From the area the cruiser was in, the others might catch the faint sound of automatic weapons fire, followed by a deeper blaster sounding weapon over the top of that. The real stunner was a sudden explosion that came from the area, and a large chunk of hull went flying up into the air.

Copper was currently crouched down beside Burrito, checking what vitals she was aware of on him, occasionally giving him a little slap to the cheek to see if he was conscious or not. She stopped that soon enough, though, having much too much fun with that.

Hearing Siphon's last transmission, she growled softly. Couldn't they have a simple recon mission for once? The gunfire didn't bother her too much, though she did stand up, climbing over a bit of rubble to get a better view. The explosion, though, caught her off guard and she tumbled backwards, somersaulting once before she found herself sitting on the ground.

"That's it. If he's not dead, I'm gonna kill him. Boss! You awake yet?" She whapped Burrito in the shoulder. She really didn't like the idea of leaving him, especially with hostiles in the area.

Burrito jolts up, his eyes wide as he looks around "Status report. What happened after I defeated the large Bot?" he asks, standing and looking around at the surrounding area

A highly enraged roar, clearly from a Wraith was then audible over the radio which Siphon apparently had failed to have time to shut off, followed by chilling words. "TWO of you big fuckers? TWO ON ONE? FINE, you want some hell, BRING IT!"

Whatever he was talking about, he sounded quite... angry. Which whatever had angered him now, after losing so many of their friends, so much of their forum, was almost certainly a very bad idea to have done. Beyond that, he was clearly not in the mood to be fucked with, and sounded very homicidal, which couldn't be a good thing at all.

"Forgo the sit-rep and help me save my Sargent." he says, starting into a sprint towards the location of the downed carrier, his right hand grasping his blade as he runs

Copper was about to answer when Siphon's yelling nearly deafened her in her radio ear. "That happened," is her reply, springing up to her feet to follow after Burrito. As they go, she even chuckles. "Oh, and something blew up."

Spinning a pair of her knives into her hands, she trails after him. "Yeah, but the question is...from them or from himself?"

They would come upon him, fighting two smaller versions of the same thing Burrito had just killed, one of whom had a piece of hull sticking out of it's chest. Siphon wasn't much better off, a piece of the hull sticking into his left shoulder, yet he either didn't notice it, or simply didn't care.

He spun and kicked one away, only to be backhanded hard by the other, and sent crashing into the remains of what might have once been a bunker. There was a crunch, though if it was bone or the remains was impossible to tell. Siphon was however noticeably slow to get to his feet, barely avoiding a second swing that likely could have been a death blow. He had so far seemed to damage both bots, but was running out of ground to fight with, and being forced backward.

For whatever reason, he hadn't seemed to try feeding off either one, and that alone was cause for concern. If he wasn't feeding off of them, it either meant he was too injured to do so, or couldn't. Either way, without being able to do so meant he couldn't last much longer under the combined firepower of both creatures, even if they were less powerful appearing than the one Burrito himself had just fought.

"You always have to be in the middle of things, don't you?" Copper yells to her comrade, skirting around some of the debris and pitching a blade or two at one of the robots to get its attention.

"C'mon, you big ugly. He's not the only one at this dance."

Of course, she's not actively engaging it at the moment, more trying to keep its attention away from Siphon to give him a minute or so to breathe and possibly set their foes up to be distracted and double-teamed.

"Stand back." Burrito says, walking forward and growling. If one could read his eyes and his face, they'd see him pissed as all hell "I beat your daddy. Now it's time for me to beat the kids." he says, cracking his knuckles and popping his neck to his right side as he walked

One of the two turned slightly and glared at Burrito before moving towards him.

The second glared back at Copper before inexplicably leaving it's target and leveling some kind of arm weapon at her, an energy weapon likely. This was a gigantic mistake on it's part. Siphon was hurt, but he was far from out of the fight, and even the idea of watching this thing take a single shot at Copper, who he was considering to be a kindred soul, was not sitting well with him.

With barely a noise, he sprang forth from the ground where he had been knocked to again, landing on the bots back just as it got a lock on Copper. It staggered from the sheer shock of being rammed into, and tried to toss Siphon off. Unfortunately for it, trying to toss off an enraged, homicidal hybrid like him proved to be all but impossible as Siphon barely moved.

His fist slammed into the neck of the bot repeatedly, grasping at something. Each time his hand came away, a chunk of metal came with it, the bot beginning to falter. It appeared Siphon was in fact weakening it little by little, and pretty well tearing it apart piece by piece.

Burrito smirks and grasps his right wrist with his left before breaking into a dash. What happened next was astonishing. Burrito actually seemed to be gaining strength as his expression grew more and more filled with rage. He would jump, and backhand the 'bot full on the face, then land and flip forward onto his hands and kick both legs upwards into the bot with all his force, sending it flying back "And stay down, you bastard." he says, spitting off to the side and sighing

Like a dumbass, the bot Burrito had kicked didn't stay down, but instead got back up charging at him again.


In the meantime, Siphon had gone... well... berserk on the other one. A quick glance would show it was missing about half of it's neck now, and was beginning to stagger as Siphon started hitting the internal circuits. After several more moments, both bot and hybrid went crashing to the ground as the bots legs gave out, and with one more motion, Siphon ended it's robotic existence, ripping the head off before staggering backwards and falling over, remaining down for the moment.

Copper was ready to spring out of the way, just waiting on the bot to fire at her. Of course, not that she needed to bother.

While Siphon beat the ever loving piss out of the thing, she got in closer, ready to help him out with it, since Burrito seemed to be having way too much fun with his for her to want to interrupt.

As both the Wraith and the robot ended up on the ground, she made certain the thing was going to stay that way before checking on her friend, namely the wound in his shoulder first.

"Ever hear the phrase 'Biting off more than you can chew?'" she quipped to him. "Learn to swallow, eh?" Giving him a crooked grin, she knelt down in front of him. "Let's see if we can't fix this before their cousins show up, huh?"

Finishing with three of the four sides she needed to make an entryway, Shrike paused to check on her companions mentally. Burrito seems hurt, but was still moving, so he was probably fine. Siphon was hurt more, but was already on the mend, so there was nothing to worry about there. Copper seemed more worried than hurt, and there was an easy explanation for that, with her proximity to Siphon.

Shrike took a moment to reflect on the bond those two shared. Then she got back to the task at hand and a moment later had finished the last cut into the wall. She gave the square she had outlined a shove, and it fell inwards and hit the floor with a resounding BOOM, the noise echoing bach several times from within the massive structure. The echoes were not all that exited, however.

The air inside rushed out with a whoosh, as if it had been held under pressure, and it assaulted Shrike with the sickly, cloying scent of cooked flesh. Caught completely unprepared, she simply doubled over and gagged for several moments before managing to stagger away into some fresh air.

Siphon looked up to Copper, then to the shoulder. "Oh. Now when the hell did that happen?"

He reached over and carefully extracted the offending material from his shoulder, making certain to go slowly and avoid ripping anything he shouldn't. When he was done, as if an explanation was needed, he added, "yeah, apparently those things didn't have actual life forces. I don't know what they are running on, but they didn't register as consumable at all. Hell, they didn't even register at all as being around me, right up to and after they smacked the core and put me through it. That's what caused the explosion, and a damn nice one if I do say so."

Burrito would chuckle and slide his hands into his pockets before flipping backwards into a wheel kick, smacking the bot clean on the chin before landing on his feet "Want some more?"

Once again the bot stood, glaring at Burrito. After a moment, it emitted a robotic laugh, then spoke. "The Thrembrihkal will deal with your kind later. Just as they did the others here, they will destroy all of you."

Then, with another laugh, it pressed a button, running at Burrito as a high pitched overloading whine began to build in it's systems, apparently trying to blow itself and Burrito sky high.

Laying on her back some twenty feet away from the entrance she had made, Shrike coughed a couple more times. "Dear god.." Was all she said, before getting up and trying to overcome the wave of smell and the sense of dread associated with actually entering the building. Not being very successful, she settled with moving back to the house itself, sitting on the edge of it's roof while she mentally reached out to her companions.

Siphon, Copper? Mind if I get your help with something?

"You'll never kill my kind." Burrito says, standing and crossing his arms as he taps the ground twice with his right boot, then crouches and uppercuts with both arms, but his hands open into a twin-palmed strike directly to the chest of the bot

The bot smashed to the ground, not bothering to get up. "No, I personally will not. The Thrembrihkal WILL however. You don't stand a chance against their power."

The thing then exploded in a massive fireball, leaving little to suggest it had been there to begin with.


On my way in a sec, just survived yet another explosion. Explosion should be my new middle name...


"Shrike's calling for us, heading over there. Can you two handle this for now? Not that there is much left to be handled though..."
