Given undead can't get negative levels, they'd still need a living source to feed from every few days. Not that the Jiang-shi is a vampire per say, they've more in common with liches.
But undead with feeding structures generally have to do so or they start to go insane, and into Torpor if they don't feed. We'd have a 1 week grace period but after that, you've got an increasingly scaling up dc of checks or you start taking stacking penalties. A wight has to deliver negative levels, a ghoul feeds, a vampire drinks and so forth. Undead with no such structures like skeletons, zombies, mummies, ghosts, grave/deathknights etc don't have to worry about it but the others do. A week isn't so bad but if you want to maintain an eternal vigil without a bunch of your members running off on munchy runs, you'd need to accommodate them. Ghouls are easiest cus they just want rotting meat and that's pretty easy to get. Ghouls also are naturals at blending into civilization and thus can easily hide indefinitely in a human city.
I've a ghoul vigilante ranger char who does just that, using disguise checks and civilized ghoulishness to appear human, fights with a sword, and buys offal the butchers were gonna throw away anyways "for her dogs". And then switches in her claws and fangs when in vigilante mode.

Given that Xylia has to feed on humanoids already, I figured the solution could be Ventus importing creatures for food. It would give Ventus a steady supply of skeletons to raise, if nothing else.
Xylia can feed on horny souls, too, to keep the creature alive a little longer. And then eat its corpse once it eventually dies of negative levels! Yay!

The negative levels Xylia deals are temporary, so she technically doesn't even need to kill anyone to survive at this point as long as she shows some restraint.

Ghouls just need to eat meat. They PREFER decaying meat, and well, once you're a ghoul I don't think Dasyra will... Care that much because biology and instinct.
But she could be a Wight instead and just be driven to devour others souls.

Yeah yeah, I know, I need to whip myself to responding to you lot faster. Truth be told its a mixture of pre-christmas bullshit, me needing to hammer on my games. (I don't have to but kinda want to do a bigger thingie in two weeks time) and another forum campaign of mine with a somewhat work intensive customized system really taking off.. on that note, if you feel like doing something mind controlley corruption based, feel free to check out

Not the most helpful move on my part, but it seems the only real contribution I can make at this point is avoiding becoming the next captive, which will probably happen anyway due to low initiative.

I apologize for my absence... Again. Just say my character ate some bad mushrooms or got his with some debris from the elemental or some such and was out cold for the time. I will try to get out a post here and in overquest over the week and holiday. ^__^;;;

It is Xmas. I know a lot of people who are completely forced away from their computers for travel and family obligations.
Not me though. I was just honestly a little forgetful about this one. Post is up now anyhow.
Dasyra would prefer to talk though this situation if possible, but we'll see if she can get a word in before this witch disables everyone. Maybe threatening the pottery will work. It'd probably be annoying to make it all over again???

I kind of let this slip my mind completely; if you want Jezzy to be kidnapped by ton rust monster or some other creature or something else I can work with that. Or maybe she was just koed or something and can just now come to with ye rock witch. Whichever works best for you.
