The sun is shining brightly as Arrenhan descends to the valley far below. With the help of the ropes, the descend turns out to be easier and faster than she thought. She hasn't been going for long on the grassy plain when she hears a humming noise as half a dozen giant wasps appear, and she can see their nest in a nearby tree, which they are presumably defending.

The wasps...looked painful, and they were only defending their nest, which she didn't want to get to, so she moved away from them, looking to see what else was about, and trying to feel the connection to the bear. (No, not summoning.)

The wasps pursue her for a while until she enters a large thicket, which makes them scatter immediately. She can feel the bear in it's nest, not quite sleeping. There are other bears in the valley, but they don't feel friendly and they seem to be at a distance. Suddenly she stumbles on a thin, silky rope that is incredibly sticky. As she manages to pull out of it, a noise from behind her makes her head whip towards it and she sees a spider the size of a big dog behind her.

Well, now....this could be interesting..... She doesn't run, or attack the spider, but waits to see what it will do. The bear's in her mind, though...if the spider attacks, she'll summon it, otherwise, she waits to see what the spider will do, crouching down and extending her hand towards the arachnid.

As Arrenhan follows the spider, she suddenly stumbles on it's web and is trapped. The spider moves to secure her hands and legs, but she might still be able to escape.

Despite the smith and his apprentices doing the heaviest lifting, the work is still heavy, especially after all the exercise she received during the morning. The rope demon helps invisibly, the harness carrying some of the weight, but by late afternoon she is covered in sweat, and so is everyone else. Despite the general levels of fatigue, the professor insists on continuing, even though he is the one most in need of rest. Finally it is done shortly before sunset, and the servants hurry to start preparing the dinner. The professor looks at her when the blacksmith leaves. "We'll start an hour after sunset. Do take a bath, my dear. You're starting to look quite disheveled."
