How good is the English in it, or is it horrible Engrish?

I've had no luck, either. Makes you wonder what the requirements for getting the coupon are. I've always been under the assumption that the JP and English versions of DLsite are separate entities, as I've never been able to log into either one with the account I use for the other region, so I'm not sure how you can go about proving that you own the JP version of the game, assuming that's why the coupon's being applied.

Caved in and bought it.
As for the English translation. It's definitely better than a pure machine translation. Though, it does read a little stiff at times and the pronouns are mixed up here and there. I've only found 1 bit of dialogue untranslated but I also haven't been playing long. (blue hair guy at Noble bar after talking to him once) Main thing I have some issues with is the rampant abbreviations. Definitely a case of the translators having to make sacrifices due to the limited available space in the menus. Took me a minute to determine that PsOt meant Passed Out. Anal Creampies = AnCr and the like. Unless there is a way to decrease the font or adjust the menus for longer English words, probably the best than can be done really.

Well the trial version is in English and the translation is pretty good, they even redid the comic book style visual sound effects

I imagine if you got the Japanese version and then did a transplant of the data files, you could effectively create a hybrid.

I'm not sure how the authentification works, and if it prevents depacking the game files, but if you can depack the game files, then you can create a hybrid between the version.

I'm still curious what the criteria could've been for getting a coupon; I bought the game on release from the Japanese DLsite, but I definitely don't have an email/coupon for the English version. It just seems strange that some people are getting it and some aren't, and I find it hard to believe it's just random chance. I've been a big fan/supporter of this circle since their first game, too, but I don't think I can justify buying the same game again just for the translation (or at least not at full price).

I was wondering about that, but hadn't taken the time to look at the site yet. It looks like there are two different versions of this game on the English side (one that's Japanese and one that's English), so that's almost certainly the reason why. I've seen a few games get English translations down the road, after the Japanese version's been on the English DLsite for a while, but they were provided as an update to that version instead of being sold as a separate game (not to say that this hasn't happened before, just that I haven't seen it firsthand).

Still stinks for me, though; the version I can't really read and could've easily downloaded from someone, I didn't, and the one that I can better understand, I can't. Looks like I'll be waiting for a sale/site coupon!

I purchased the Japanese Language version of the game on the English DLsite, rarely will I have a reason to buy a title on the Japanese DLsite, since its available on the English version of the site. Course it still causes me issues since the Launcher software that's promoted here on ULMF has issues with English DLsite but that's a topic for another thread.

u need to do 2 quest from a pólice researcher or something like that, its on the same city of the slums (he is on the bar top left u will see it)
