There's actually a bit of a story behind this. Besides the Canadian references, the first time I heard this was when I was up in Pettawawa for a training exercise when I was 17. I quite liked it then, but since I heard it on the radio I never did hear the band name nor the song. So I was just left with a few lines I hummed to myself once in a while.

Fast forward a few years. I'm 19, coming home from training in Texas, have talked to my girlfriend a grand total of 4 times over the past month... and driving home from Pett, this song once again drifts over the radio, and it just felt so damn fitting.

This time however the DJ said the band and song title, so it's become one of a few songs that are rather close to my heart.

Yeah, I still don't know how I feel about it though. I mean, I love Stevie Nick's voice (The Fleetwood one, in case some of you all didn't know) and Billy's version really does the original justice IMO. I just.... it's weird hearing a guy sing it I guess...
One I DON'T like is the Dixie Chicks' version. Screw them lol
