I followed it to the letter, and when I loaded the exe, it said a lot of files were missing.

Sounds like one or more of the patch files isn't getting loaded properly. Are you sure you renamed them exactly right? If you haven't already done so then make sure your settings in Windows (or Mac OS X or whatever) are set to let you see file extensions (since step 2 of the instructions requires you to add a new file extensions).

As far as I can tell, there's several new poses involving restraints and there's a new event on the train platform at night. There's also a new option to board the train and ignore the curfew. (I think that's what it means, which probably allows access to the new event above)

I just did a quick play-through and didn't see an option to board the train on or after 17:00, but I managed to trigger the new event anyway. If the molesters steal Elulu's clothes and the train conductor refuses to return them, then she won't be willing to leave the train -- until the end of the night when she's forcibly removed, without being given a chance to get dressed first. Under certain conditions (I had her naked with all four limbs restrained, since just being bottomless didn't seem to work) the event will trigger at that point, assuming the prerequisite events have been seen.

If you're interested in making a less official translation, I could give you the txt file of Japanese strings that I extracted from the game for my machine translation. Speaking of which...

I've made a new version of my awful machine translation! In addition to adding the new scene(s) as of game version 1.497, I finally figured out a way to make the installation less convoluted. So you no longer need to rename any files or reset the game after launch -- you just extract the attached zip archive and then it's good to go. I think it should work for both the trial version and the full game. I've tested it briefly and it seems fine, but if anyone finds any bugs then let me know.

Did he finally get around to removing all that extra junk that was stuffed in the .exe or is it just plain old better compression?

Yes, the new version has been improved on that front as well.

According to his reply in the ci-en post, here's the conditions for the molesting at station event (which is precondition for the last train event)

1. Make her faint and steal her panties.
2. Go home, get a new panty.
3.Repeat 5 times and she'll run out, and there'll be an event of a maid giving her more

4. Do it again, and this time there won't be a maid event.
5. After 4, go to the station without panty.
6. Get an event where her skirt get flipped up by the wind at the station.

7. After having seen the event for breaking 400+ lewdness value, the next day after getting the event in 6 go to station without wearing panty

Was bringing over some translated stuff to the latest release and noticed a paragraph has been removed. Seems like a revision over Elulu's character after she walks outside without wearing any panties for the first time.
Not a huge loss. (but will surely be missed)

From my understanding it's in the development environment data? I think he wants to get it proof-read by the DLSite people since there's a service provided for that / or is required to by them.

I had done some of the debug menu translations for him previously because the I found the game/series itself pretty interesting.

The Ci-en shows some new 'clothing' and poses he's working on for the 'Violence' story.

It's a weird tryanoengine thing and a translator.exe that he sent me to reflect the translations in the dev environment he gave me to do the translations with. How he'll insert it into the retail game is something I don't understand. But at some point the opening will be in English since that was the first thing he wanted me to do.

I finished the Opening yesterday? The next one is the Ending text that I need to look at when I have time.

He had initially given me a giant csv file with over 5000 lines (a lot of it repeats) but then he chunked them out because it was't efficient that way.

A lot of the text are moans/groans and dudes making 'huff huff' noises or 'dude x pokes Elulu in y'.

He's in no rush either way since he's still updating the game / drawing new stuff for the second game.
