I really don't think that's the design direction here, the facial expression of the main character once and after he shoots his (first) load are very telling that there's no mental and physical coming back once you're grappled and used and I don't think it would be any different for that friend of his.
Keep in mind Zell's inital statement regarding game design was "Semen splatters instead of Blood", so this sounds like approaching a non-explicit horror scenario like "oh well after the blade-handed scarecrow eviscerates him he might just walk it off, he's fine"

Zell to you is the femdom guy, but please don't forget that zell himself changed over time.
He's been adding more male dominant scenes in his games ever since his fanbase grew. His most popular girls aren't the femdom ones. It's the yamabiko, and cat thief. Both are maledom.

Yeah that's a struggle. You can't really make sex with attractive women scary unless there's some physical threat at play. Zell's not into guro or any of that though thankfully, and he doesn't draw fugly monsters. They're all conventionally attractive at least.
I don't know what the game's story is gonna be, but I think instead of the game feeling like horror, it'll just borrow the horror aesthetic.
What he wants from the horror (from what I can gather) is the audio design, the weakness of the protagonist, and the strangeness of the enemies. Horror games also have very gimmiky designs for enemies and focus more on level design over combat. Seems to fit Zells desires to a T. The only thing I didn't mention was being horrific XD.
Personally, I don't see a problem with this, and if the protagonist gets caught it's for sure game over.
Personally I see the consequences of being caught/taken down by those girls as the following.
Endlessly being raped for the rest of your days by strange and powerful monster women as their prisoner. There's several dungeon/cage areas we know of already, obviously there for keeping their prisoners locked away while they're not being "used".
Yeah, it's a pretty straight-forward way of thinking, but seeing the two Sahagin girls imprisoning and taking turns with your friend makes me think that's the implied fate for both.

Usually you'd go under 'posted articles' to get some news. But this is Maken Ansala we're talking about: we can expect any and all news/reports to be tightly locked behind a pay-to-read... I was pretty sure Zell intended to focus on SA2 with Ansala 1st, so he'd learn some Unity to develop Shiro himself... I'll keep my conclusions to myself.

Zell is still involved and it's still his brainchild mostly. I doubt Ansala will have too much of a pull over this project if Zell specifically is involving himself as far as level design is concerned.
And if it's the sexual content focus you're concerned about, don't forget that Zell's actually proud of Succubus Affection from a sexual standpoint. Outside of lacking in vore content (which I'm glad Ansala seems to be against), I'm pretty sure Succubus Affection is where Zell is in sexual content tastes.

Hey guys, am I dumb or is my version of the game bugged out? I just started a new game and I can't seem to get out of the first room.
EDIT: nvm, I was just dumb, didn't realize you had to go outside and then go back in and talk to the girl.
The price of not being able to read moon runes I suppose.
