I don't know why but I kinda felt like doing another CYOA on top of the other I already have running, maybe I'm crazy.
Biggest problems I've had with Tentacular has been how its gotten bit.. chaotic to work on. (But I'll still run it, don't worry. :p) and it has kinda bothered me. I can't really start going to do overhauls when it's already so far, that'd make low sense for the things already gone by, even if it was okay otherwise, it'd bother me aaaaa D:

So this one is bit more organized.
This CYOA won't have as much of plot going on, the characters will have a simple aim: To get out there. This CYOA will have lot more randomness in it however. Not too much will be preset.

And maybe bit more polished overall? Will see.

Prison planet - YP-0099

The planet YP-0099 has had a rather colourful history for such insignificant planet.
There used to be a civilization living the in the said planet, but the eerie atmosphere and the other wildlife has taken care of that civilization. They did not seem to last too long.

The wildlife is harsh and.. perverted. The lost ruins, dungeons of the mysterious civilisation there at first attracted many researchers of all kind. Many science facilities had been build in the planet.. Unfortunately something in the planet twisted, corrupted, many of the researchers.
So many of them went outright mad, began to make twisted experiments.. twisted bots..
Who knows what they left behind and whatever mad scientist might still lurk in the facilities.

The next use of the planet was to make it a prison planet. There were at first, facilities for those too. But as the wardens began to gain the same madness, and the prisoners alike, facilities were put on hold. They were all abandon.
Nowadays anyone sentenced to this planet is just outright dropped there and left for their own luck. No facilities, nothing. Truly cruel.

All the facilities, abandoned villages, dungeons... ancient ruins, dead forests.. This all has twisted, maddened, corrupted life still going on about.
Horrible planet for any poor sap to be dropped to. Especially for women as so lot of the madness seems highly sexual.

Getting to said planet can be easy, but getting out? Now thats another story..



Short Race summary


Human.
Average everything. Might know psychic.
Usually higher willpower. Good with weapons and all.
You should know what a human looks like silly

Racial ability:
To arms! +5 to attacks when operating a weapon.


Sister of Nac'sal.
Female only specie capable of breeding with many other cross species.
The origin of the Sisterhood is a big enigma, and their specie is very old, usually the first to make contact with other races.
Sisters of Nac'sal are very human like in their looks but lack any sort of body hair.
Many of them grow crystal type of formations on their heads. The colour can tell what specie the father has been..
High psychic and technic users. Come with embedded technic usually.

Racial abilities:
Comes with tech. Has some sort of random techno gimmick on them.
Breed adaptability. Forced to take pregnancy rolls on nearly any ejucalation inside, -10 to resist..

Kolingro.
Lizard like folks. Originating from a swamp planet somewhere..
Women of the specie small and feminine. Very human like, but are more scaley and have tails, claws..
Men are like monsters. Humanoid, but very, very large. Their face is nothing like humans or alike.
Specie wise they have high endurance, women are especially very agile. Cannot learn psychic.

Racial ability:
Regeneration. Energy restores faster.
Grudge. Negative statuses stay on longer..

Android.
Mechanical personnel. Hybrid of machine and man.
Highly dependant on the androids in question what they might be able to do.
Very technic, cannot learn psychic.

Racial abilities:
AI. Depending on programming can be resistant to things. But can also be turned against them!
Personally suited. Cannot be body modified/mutated.
Shock weakness. Electric weapons do double damage against them.
Egg breeding.

Z'ril.
Insect folks. Living in the hives, originating from an earth like planet.
Z'ril have spread among the known systems quite fast, they are adaptable and fast breeders. Lucky they are sentient, huh?
Women are very smart small and pretty, very humanoid but have distinctive features.
Men vary a lot.. Some are more monstrous, some humanoid like, some look like beasts as whole.
Know psychic. High agility. Not too enduring.

Racial abilities:
Poisonous. Can poison foes. Resistant to poisons.
It burns! Plasma really hurts. Double damage from Plasma, can make the hero character panic!
Egg breeding.


Stats and what they do:

Endurance. Resistance to varying things. 9-11 for neutral resistance. 8 and below give -5, 12 and above give +5,
Stamina. Overall energy. 1 stamina = 10 hp.
Agility. Speed, Dodge, Accuracy. 7 - 11 for neutral.
Strength. Physical checks and all. 10+ for 1+, +2,.. bonus damage on physical moves.
Willpower. Ability to go on when things go grim. Resistance to psychic. Struggle rolls. 7 - 10 for neutral. 6 and below -10. 11 and above +5.
Technic. Technical abilities. 12+ to get bonuses on weapons.
Psychic. Psychic power. If person knows psychic abilities, each level = 5 psychic energy. Otherwise personal has no use of this stat.

Race: Sister of Nac'sal

Eline is 19 solar sweeps old Sister of Nac'sal whom had been working as a secretary
to her mother whom is a high ranked officer in one of the large Nac'sal fleet ships.
She really didn't have the most best relationships with her mother however..
So one day she decided to slip off and hide in one of the escape pods of the ship.
... Little did she know that there was a meteor shower ahead that damaged the ships system
and the escape pod she was in was shot out of the ship.

Eline has had psychic training and technic too. Though due of her being more of a study
type she had very little physical training.
Eline has had no sexual experience before.

Eline is shy and modest and tends to avoid arguments, mostly wanting to please people.
She's got bit of too good for her own good thing going.

Eline's stats:

Stamina 9
Agility 8
Strength 7
Willpower 7
Technic 11
Psychic 10

50/50 psychic energy

Psychic abilities:
Shockwave. 15 energy. 5 - 20 damage.

Sany is 21 solar sweeps old fugitive. She was born and lived in earth as a kid.
However when she entered her teens, her parents died in an accident.. And what happened afterwards
was a spiral of crime. She lived in streets of the futuristic cities living off on stolen goods.
When she hit 19 she snuck into a spaceship and began to hop from space ship to space stations
When she had reached 20 she already had had her own ship, fleet.. All for plundering
and pirating. She had gained quite a bad fame.
Now she was captured and on the way for her punishment..

Sany has gained decent technic skills and has been keeping herself in shape.
She's had some interest in psychic but lacks the skills.


Sany's un-trusting and very snappy. She tends to take a strong opinions on things and nearly demands to have things her way.
Has some arrogance bubble that needs to popped.

Race: Kolingro

Lyzza is 20 solar sweeps old Kolingro female who practises research in various areas.
Lyzza grew up in not too special ways. Was raised like normal Kolingro's usually raised.
How they are raised is another story. Regardless she grew up to be very adventurous researcher
She's known go bit extreme on her trips to study biology and history. Many times visiting
planets that are normally off limits with her ship.

This time was no different. But she got bit too careless.
Lyzza is highly agile and knows her tech pretty well. She has bit of defeatist attitude though..

Lyzza is curious and friendly, very social for someone in research area.
She usualy tends to look for options that suit for the best overall.
She isn't the fastest in thinking with all the options, too many decisions can lead to problems.

Race: Android.


569 is an android whom was pretty much build for prostitution. She has very much accurate genitals and can feel pleasure,
pain, feelings, just like a human would. You really can't tell she's an android without looking underneath her skin.
Well atleast used to be like that. She had a malfunction and had been dumped to this here planet.
She's still pretty much alive as she woke up. Her skin colour had tuned down to default of the white android likeness

569 is programmed not to be the most smartest or strongest, but it has come naturally to her still know her tech somewhat
and be agile, resistant, strong.. She just kinda lacks the willpower.

569 has very loose programming, she has wild and a kind personality.
She doesn't think too clearly always though, so she seems like she's tipsy all the time really.
You can guess where THAT leads to.

569's specials: Cannot be impregnated apart from egging. Resistant to sex attacks. (-5 damage).

Fe'da is a 19 solar sweeps old Z'ril female.
Fe'da grew in the hive. Lived in the hive. Worked in the hive. Studied in the hive. And she ended up being the finest
engineer around her part of the hive. She was successful. She had good life, though she was bit lonely in the love side..
She lived quite a while in a space station mostly populated by humans and did good work around even though she wasn't appreciated.

Fe'da was on her way to another space station but further away for a job interview when her ship malfunctioned and she crashed down.

Fe'da has had no sexual experience from before and she is somewhat agile, but not the most strongest around.
She's quite the techy and has a little psychic powers too, but not too much.

Fe'da is not the most quiet around if she doesn't have anything to focus on. She's really not afraid to say her judgements out.
She is friendly to some extent, but pretty blunt regardless.
Fe'da keeps herself quite modest as well. She really wants to avoid sexual things, and has the whole run for "finding the one"

3 - 9 electric damage. Can cause flinch (50%), Very slow fire rate.
Infinite ammo.

Laser pistol.
5 - 15 laser damage. Decent fire rate
200/200 ammo.

Lead Pipe.
5 - 20 Crush damage.

Poison bite: (fe’da)
3 - 6 damage initial.
2 - 4 damage each turn afterwards for x turns.

About damage styles:
Slash: 2x against against tentacle monsters, plants. Destroys fabric well.
Stab: 2x against organic
Crush: 2x against armored if enough strength it put through/organic lives underneath said armor.
Electric: Drains Stamina, 2x damage against mechanical.
Plasma: Firey damage. Good against plan like creatures. Destroys fabric well. Armor melting.
Laser: Universally highly unresistable. Destroys fabric well. Can pierce armor sometimes.
Projectile: Weak against armor. Strong against anything else.
Psychic: Ignores armor. Foe dependent power.
Natural: Dependant on the natural substance what it does, but usually does not affect metallic things.

The vote tally seems to be pretty even, quite surprising!

So far:
A, B & E have 2 votes
C has 1
D has 1 sure vote, 2 'Or' votes.

4 and 6 have the most votes, but 4 has a lot of 'Or' votes.

I'm pretty much willing to say that 4 is locked.

Cause I can sense some choice problems I'll just start a revote on the character

So the voting results:

It was quite even, so I figured to randomize the final result.
The laser of the coin flip also became the secondary.

Coilflip win goes to: Eline.

X-569 is going to be the first NPC encounter.


Sany and Fe'da will be put into the NPC encounter list twice so they have a slightly higher encounter rate.


Story start!


Eline had been going through the space on her capsule for some time now..
The little food supply this capsule had had was starting to run dry.. The breathable air supply was low.

"Why me.. All I just wanted to get away for a break. Not to be launched into space to drift on forever.."

Robotic sound interrupted her angst.

"Beep. Now entering atmosphere. Please secure your belts. "

"Huh? Atmosphere? Computer! where are we landing? "

"Identification code: YP-0099."

"YP-0099? What planet is this, I've never heard of this one."

"Loading information.. Please hold on. YP-0099 is an Abonden prison planet."

"Prison planet?! Abonden?! What is this? Computer! More information."

"Request denied. Please prepare for impact- Prepare for impact- Pre- pre- pre-"

"?!"

The capsule began to shake violently as Eline hit her head from not actually securing her belt like she should've.

Hours went by before Eline finally woke up from the impact..

"Ow.. My head.."

Eline had been tossed from the capsule. She was on her knees at the rough dead murky ground of the planet.

She carefully got up. Looking around.. The capsule behind her was pretty much trashed. The computer had gone dead silent. There was nothing to safe from it than the items she already had.

Now in front of her there was some sort of a science facility?
It looked old and abonden but pretty well secured.

The other surrounding did not look inviting at all.
So without further ado Eline figured she might aswell enter..

The door behind her automatically shut itself as she entered.

"Huh..?"

There was no panels or anything to open the door anymore. It was shut and staying shut.

"Well guess I'll be staying here for a while then. ehehe... hee.. aw damn it"

Well she was now in the hallway shaped like an U, she entered from the side way of the U shape that was more outwards obviously.

She went to look inside more on this hallway.. There was a computer panel on the curve's inner mid section. It was all snowstorm from the panel and lose wiring below.

The hallway then took to a new room.


What should Eline do?

B) Try fix the computer the panel to get something out of it.
