Honestly, my top priority is just to make sure the thread isn't cluttered and nothing against the rules is being linked. Spamming link requests clutters up the thread, which detracts from the conversation. If it's happening on somebody's profile, it's not happening in the thread. So I'm only gonna interject when the person wants me to.

It's an anti air move, but it's bugged so you wont get it.
