Damn, well i guess the translation is officially dead and will never get a chance to step out to the light then.

I think the amount of effort involved in translating this game is would be a lot. The best people would have to settle for would be machine translations. Doing it by hand looks like it'd be a pretty daunting feat when looking at everything in the game files.

It certainly would be a ton of work. Does anyone know if the game is done for good, without any updates likely to happen for the next few years? I might consider resurrecting it, though I'd probably need to start over from scratch. Pretty disappointed that the other person who wanted to take over won't finish it, but I know how it is, it's pretty unrewarding and grinds on and on. No promises, though.

If Sweetsprite's words are to be believed, yes the current version should be final.

Welp, there goes my life. Woohoo! Guess I should get to work. If you want something done, you've gotta do it yourself.

And so the torch gets passed once again. Good luck Daniel, don't overwork yourself. And if it ends up being too much work to translate the whole game, I'm sure everyone would be fine with just an H-scene translation.

Do whatever you can even it isn't much but it will spark some joys to people.

Seeing that the translation probably will take a long while, I want to ask how playable the game is without any knowledge in reading Japanese. I somehow could brute-force through the first game thanks to the quest paths being straightforward with minimal backtracking, but I don't think the same would apply in this sequel. Will I easily get lost/stuck here?

You can always use machine translation, its better nowadays than it used to be. Didn't have much problem clearing the first and second part of the game at least thanks to it

Machine translation here means using the Translator++ software, right? For some reason it always fails to load the data files, giving this error message and ending up loading nothing at all even though I followed the available instructions.

Using Textractor or ITH VNR + Translation aggregator... Translator++ is used for developing translation data to change japanese text from the game to english, and Textractor or ITH VNR copy the japanese text from the game and the app will translate the text to english...

There are multiple methods of machine translating. I personally first used "RPGMakerMVGame Hook patcher 0.0.3.4" found on this forum to make the game exe display all text in a separate window and then used VNR to directly translate that text into english. Its not ideal but works well enough. The only problem is that the names of speaking characters sometimes get thrown into middle of sentence.

In the end, I used Textractor which does that at once, though indeed the names of the speaking character is always thrown into mid-sentence. But oh well, as long as I get the general idea of the story I won't complain.

Sorry for the consecutive posting, but could someone help me? I think I got stuck.

Right now I've completed the 2nd part of bandit fortress and thus the ruined city now starts rebuilding. If I go back to the bandit fortress there are now enemies which can only be fought if my current class is Seeker. They are very annoying with their high evasion and magic resistance, and there are quite a lot of them. Do I have to kill them all or something?

Currently there are only 3 quests left in my list. According to machine translation:
1. Two Shadows in bandit house according to Satan. I have talked to Satan but he just repeat his default speech. I wonder if I missed something.
2. Old man wants some "Unusual Dish"
3. Old lady wants Processed soybeans and 10 tofu

I'm guessing that the 2nd and 3rd quest require some things from the market/farm town, but I've kinda lost track of which items I've bought and used after completing quite a number of food-related quests.

EDIT: Figured it out. I just have to examine the magic circle to make Satan progress with the plot. Finished the other 2 quests as well by buying one of everything from that market city.

Sad to say this but i guess the translation of this game is dormant until further notice. It's hard with all the loosing keywords and texts which the creator of this game put in.

it's been tricky. there was one guy translating and then he passed the torch to someone else who then i think stopped and the original guy said he'd try again. can't say i blame anyone for all the shifting. the game itself kept being updated which on top of constantly adding new content apparently made what was already there incompatible with what was being worked on. and it doesn't seem to be the easiest thing to fully translate in the first place.

Main problem is that I got nothing from the guy that initially said he'd take over and I don't know if anything he had would even be useful at all, so I have to start over from scratch. Quite frustrating, considering I already had a working translation of an earlier version, but that's incompatible. Still, I'm working on it, now that there isn't a new patch every few weeks that breaks the translation.

I'm looking for some help with the bandit town that needs to be repaired. I've given the guy all the bricks and repair tools, but nothing in the town has changed. Am I missing something, or do I need to do more quests for the townsfolk?

(As a side note, I had edited in all the items needed for repair because I wasn't about to spend hours grinding that all out.)
