Excess-M Games are the only H games i actually see a point in buying actually haha,
JSK and Marume Works are decent developers as well. JSK's games are simple, but they're also cheap and will usually take an evening to complete. Marume Works is an up and coming new dev who's got a really nice aesthetic sense but a weak animation sense. His animations as a whole lack oomf but his girls are all hot, and his use of colors gives positive feelings.

BlueLab the creator of Milky Quest even put in an effort to get an english language version of his game so that should be supported. His game's super simple but it's also super cheap and really plays up the role-playing aspect.

Devil's Office is a great developer as well. He doesn't create traditional RPG experiences. He's pretty selfish in making the exact experience he wants and it comes out in his works. Not all of his designs are good but he sets up some really sexually charged scenarios that highten the eroticism as you play.

Not to mention the almighty Ason! I love ASON so damn much it's not even funny. Ason puts in the effort to translate their games, they understand the history of JRPGs and passionately craft unique experiences, and they value all the right things when it comes to sex and gameplay balance. Sadly they only started adding animations to their games but hey they're on their second game. I really hope it pays off for them as the world of eroge would feel much more empty without them.

ExcessM's probably like... my 4th of 5th favorite developer.

I love his style as a whole, but I'm much more into penetration type sex than I am into foreplay. ExcessM's games are usually 60 to 70% foreplay and humiliation. Not only that, but his shotas usually have very small penises so the amount of motion you get out of the sex is really minimal... and the girls in his animations have no weight. They don't push down on the guy.. at all.

In comparison, in Ason's animation you can see her push down on the guy because she actually has weight. I think that reactive element is very important to a sex scene. Imagine a missionary pose where the guy just moves in and out and the girl doesn't really receive the motion in any way. It'd look weird right? That's what ExcessM's animations are normally like.

I still like ExcessM's general design sense. The challenge missions in parade buster were all great and made me interact with the game in unique ways. It's really one of the best h-games of all time. I love the fact that he's willing to experiment, and I love the fact that he appreciates the western audience. He's a definitely a good dev.

Ah... almost forgot. The original data.wolf has to be the november 28,2019 version (1.1 - aka the latest version on english dlsite as of this post.)

Seems like it only translates the menus? Once I get in to the actual game everything is still in Japanese.

That's just how incomplete the "official" translation was i guess.

Yeah... A LOT of it is left untranslated. It's a metric ass ton of text. Still the little bits that were translated helped me get through the game without issue.
It's too bad translator++ doesn't work too well with WolfRPG games. I could've had the entire game machine translated... I really wish the dev of translator++ communicated more... His app has tons of potential if he would iron out a few bugs.

I deleted my original version after downloading the update from eng.dlsite. Well that's the problem with delta patches I guess. If he comes out with another new update, this current delta patch won't work on it, since it's a differential calculation. Both the source and the modifications need to be the same to get to the outcome.

The old translation that was bruteforced into 1.0 covered dialogue and whatnot too. Weird.
Buuut I'd rather have an up to date version with partial translation; thanks for the little trick.

He animated those in the same way he animates his high-res graphics. Bone animation.

I'll admit that I don't like the switch to WolfRPG from 2DFighterMaker as much though. The motion was more fluid and the combat was more actiony and frenetic. By motion I don't mean animation but around the field.

I've got no problems with the new visuals. It's just how the game feels to play that I'm not a fan of.

Guys I was looking around his Ci-En and it seems he's working on another simple free mini-game where a boy is trying to avoid casino bunny girls.
He's really practicing hard with Unity!

So the evolution of ExcessM was 2DFighterMaker into WolfRPG into Unity? I'm actually super stoked for this!

For one thing, Unity has a Live2D library. Since the game engine supports Live2D that should mean smaller filesizes AND better animations. Let's say he slows the game down to .1% speed. The game would still interpolate between frames and we'd still see motion unlike traditional frame count animations. The problem though is that unity comes prepackaged with so much stuff it's not even funny. An empty unity game is still pretty big T_T. His Yakyuken game is actually only 45MB of actual gamedata. Like... come on... how does that get bloated to 108MB.

The problem with the switch from WolfRPG is that if he wants to create RPG systems he'd have to create his own Database system for storing items, getting stored items, and sorting through said items. One of the main benefits of RPGMaker and WolfRPG is how it just innately handled that stuff for you. Also level management where you could plot out stat growths through a graph.

If he switches to Unity for his Eastern inspired game I'm pretty sure it's going to be more action focused. If he uses unity though he won't have to worry too much about depth calculation and the like so he won't need to use a "lane" system for movement, unless that's his preference. In fact the combat animations should be A LOT more smooth since he can just use Live2D for the main battle animations.

Herp DERP: He wrote (Parade Buster Type + Japanese Style Motif! ) on his CI-EN for Hagokoro.

While I have some problems with ExcessM, mainly in the fact, that the actual sex in his games feels pretty tame and relaxed, and he doesn't really move the chest much, I do really respect his drive. This guy's got energy and a desire to improve. I think his design sensibilities are also pretty broad. He seems to like a lot of different things though it seems he very much prefers reaction based systems vs strategy based ones.

If anyone's reading this and haven't tried out his game, I think you should. Not even for the eroticism (which it still has) but to see the future of the developer. If you're using chrome you should be able to parse out the machine translation. It's actually surprisingly fun AND NOT COMPLETELY LUCK BASED.

No. He's also working on another small free game with a mafia boss's son working in a casino with bunny girls in it.

His next BIG GAME that would deserve a thread is the ParadeBuster like game Hagokoro.

Hey all!

Recently got the game and enjoying it a bunch! I got a question though, what do you do post beating the fiery succubus boss (5th keyhole area) to progress? I went back to the starting area, talked to the armored red dude which triggered a small talk, but not sure what to do next!

Any help would be appreciated, and I am sorry if this question has been asked already!
 
In the menu one of the options you can select is where to go next. You have to select the last place. The name is in red.
 
Seems there was an update for the game today if I'm reading the DLsite page right.
