Wow the best update ever woooow
I feel bad for the voice actors if that's how their work is received.
I don't think voicework in adult games are worthless to be completely honest.

Well you've gotta consider that it's JAP VA. Not only can most of us not understand it, the... we'll call them moans can get a little grating when they're overused (It's mostly the same for anyone listening to a different language I imagine). So maybe the poor reception is more understandable from that perspective? We are talking about JAP VA, right?

Wait... isn't it normal to understand a good amount of spoken Japanese if you're a fan of anime and japanese games?

Like... everyone knows what kimochi means right? I remember a company popped up calling themselves kimochi then got bought out by Nutaku. They wouldn't call themselves that unless they were confident people knew what it meant XD I think...

People should know simple statements like, "kore ga ii", "kanjimasu" and all that. It's so common and usually subtitled so you'll figure it out after watching like.. 5 videos max.

I know absolutely no written Japanese, but I can still understand the voiced dialogue in Parade Buster, and Yume Same. They don't use advanced vocabulary XD

I can see how people can be a bit miffed about this fluff-update, considering there's this huge, stinking bugbear of a still missing English translation in the room and no real word about it.

After all it is still shown as a greyed-out in the options menu. And sure his translator was busy with other projects - but it has been several months now with no real peep about it.

There's a considerable amount of text in the game. I doubt this'll be a 1 year process. Heck we'd be lucky to get it two years after.

Ye but if that's the case you shouldn't effin' advertise it in the game demo.
Especially when the previous game had a ready translation on release.

He's right you want to understand basic japanese phrases that are used in menus like "LOAD" and "SAVE" and other basic menu phrases i 100% agree and would encourage that.

....You don't need to learn all of Japanese. We're not moving to Japan and eating sushi there. We're the remnants of what used to be "The West" when there was a net positive population birthrate. on that side o the planet.

It would be wasteful to not take advantage of translation software that is available.

Absolutely not. Not everybody can understand the language just by hearing it a bunch. I personally listen to a bunch of Japanese music (particularly Vocaloids), play H and non-H games alike with no English dubs, and have watched anime and hentai videos, have been doing so for over a decade, but I only know about 5-10 words and phrases. It's nearly impossible for me as a person to learn a language without a proper school-like setting teaching me how to translate each word and how to use the properly.

Yeah, as fenril also stated, learning more than a handful of words in a language outside of a classroom isn't going to work for me, I've been watching subbed anime for a decade or better now and I wouldn't even be able to put together a proper sentence like "where is the bathroom?" or "how much does this cost?". Adding to that, the writing all just looks like chicken-scratch to me. They didn't offer Japanese in my high school and I'm sure as shit not paying to learn it.

....You don't need to learn all of Japanese. We're not moving to Japan and eating sushi there. We're the remnants of what used to be "The West" when there was a net positive population birthrate. on that side o the planet.
This makes no sense.

I guess? Doesn't really help with VA though. Given that audio translators just spit out robotic words. Wouldn't exactly rev my engine, plus there's still all the eeeeee eeeeee eeeee sound to annoy me.

There is no sign that the game is out, there was only a single Cien post when the guy claimed he had the demo already and it was the first one vaguely talking about characters. Now there is a second Cien post going into more detail how the game will be played and what was the main testing goal it was created for, but no link to the game anywhere. No signs of it on Dlsite, dmm, Twitter, Pixiv or the devs very own homepage, safe to say it is not yet out at this point.
