Yeah, it'll be on hiatus for an indeterminate amount of time due to Hussie needing to prepare the story and whatnot for the game ready for development to start, as well as the next lot of books and conventions, and probably other merch. Hopefully we won't have to wait too many months for him to continue on with Act 6 Act 6, but it's not like we don't have anything else to do during the hiatus.

Hiatus or a delay of content simply means that time is being taken for the good of the series/comic. Berserk can only dish out it's fantastic art because of the massive time intervals, and I personally wouldn't have it any other way.

Hiatus can also mean there looking through back chapters and copy pasting images for background collages... Happens all the time

But hussie just did that, except with one current image getting sent to past backgrounds. If Homestuck devolved into a perpetual state of self-references and flashbacks it may actually be difficult to tell for the first week, but I'm pretty sure SOMEBODY will notice.
