Nah, more of a romantic. My grandma would always say you should never hit a woman but with a rose.

I was of a similar mind about the 'immersion-breaking', but I re-thought my opinion - SNStep's efforts clearly helped here.
If we exclude the Siren going "the Well" on you, all main succubi are very much consistent and in-character.

If one can remotely identify with the PCs (or the main kink) this is a very immersive game.
Restrictive? Probably. But I wouldn't call the story contrived. If anything, most females seem to thrive here - in an unsettlingly realistic/coherent way. They integrate and mesh very well in this world - despite the 'set of rules' ultimately taking over, for the uninvited guests.
Glad we agree on the pros, I think you mistook what I meant by immersion breaking; i'm speaking less to the mythological roots, kinks, or pull for each sub-story. I am more speaking to the overall universe/dimension melding to fit in the other game characters into what would otherwise be your usual a school-based setting, the limited character development, reductionistic backgrounds/faulty memory trope, the minimal to non-interaction between male characters or succubi, the chronic use of "kobayashi maru" hopelessness theme, the unreliable narrator/guide trope, and 2.5 dimensional succubi. Clearly you and I like the game a lot, and I think it's okay to have holes in the game, because it's great for what it is, I just don't want to oversell it when there are said immersion breaking storyline gaps, at least imo.

Also does anyone know how to trigger the Memory attack in the gallery room? For example the Dryad it only appears if she uses her bind attack but other than that there is nothing.

Is there no "surrender" or "give up/do nothing" attack in this game?

The answer to both of these is kind of the same: first off, there are not any "do nothing"/"wait to be beaten" abilities that you can trigger, per se. If you pick up the Pigpen Key (check the wooden lockers in the southwest-ish area of the Clubhouse Village) and equip it, you get a skill called Oink-Oink, which will always miss and guarantee the enemy becomes Bored. That's about the closest you'll see. Beyond that, if you're in the Gallery, there is an instant-loss ability you can trigger called "Memory of Death". However, it's bugged with the 1.0 patch and doesn't appear in when you return to the Gallery after defeating the True End final boss. Your options are to go to the Gallery before completing the True End, or play the Japanese version/wait for the English patch to catch up (I'm making progress...a bit slowly due to personal life stuff, but it's coming).

By memory attack you mean like "memory of death", "memory of climax", and "memory of ecstasy" ?
If so, I manage to find a dumb way to fix that with our current english patch
I manage to find a dumb way to fix it (not screwing with the code or anything)
go talk to Mnemosyne and then choose "Everything, starting with your first memories of Mnemosyne"
then after that, go to the clock and restart the clock (you're not supposed to be able to do this after clearing the true ending but with this roundabout way you can do that)
after that immediately freeze the clock again. the end-game scene will replay again, then after that you can do all the climax request again.
oh, also @SNStep I did post in the last page about text that got cut out again

sorry for tagging you and with the thread going crazy a few pages before, make me think that you'll miss a few post about translation error or something within those pages
anyway, I just realize you need to check each file what did change if you decide to update the current patch to the most recent one, SO keep up the good work and take your time.
Even w/out posting any new patch for a while, it'll be good if you post some kind of news about the translation whether you're taking a break from it or maybe how far it is

I don't have a lot to report, unfortunately, in part because I was not so great about estimating time frames for the initial four patches, and in part because I'd hate to make a comment that indirectly or inadvertently puts SQDT on the spot by over-promising. So beyond "it's being worked on" and "I'm really appreciative for the catches, helping me make the patch as polished as possible", I don't have a lot to say. But for now, I'd ask folks to assume no news is good news.

For now, slow and steady wins the race.
Quit looking at me that way, Mayu.

Well, I just finished the game, and I got kinda disappointed by the overarching story and ending. Still, it was more than an enjoyable experience and the scenes were way better than what I had expected.

So thank you sincerely for taking the time to do a proper translation.

Is it at possible to trigger the true end during the first playthrough? If I were to satisfy all of the requirements my first time around would it make any difference?

Edit: Thanks a bunch! And great work on the TL!

It is possible. There's even also a trophy for doing it at each difficulty without a "game over", though I have not tested whether getting the bad end and rolling over to another run counts as a "game over" for the purposes of said trophy, so it might not be necessary.

I always wondered:
what am I supposed to do with the Dream Thermometer? After it melts/falls off and you can pick it up?

edit: oh! 😯 I thought it was always there...

This took until Nightmare054 caught me in a typo, but once you get it as an item, it shows up in the Time-Frozen Basement. You can set it between 1-6 to increase/decrease the stats of the enemies for memory purposes (the higher the number, the tougher they are).

Is anyone else having an issue where musk & frankincense no longer show up in usable items in combat? I'm not sure if it's intended, but can't quite figure it out.

There's a bug with the 1.0 version that causes the available amount of Musk and Frankincense to be tied to the amount of Myrrh you have in stock. If they're not showing up, my guess is that you have no Myrrh.

English patch for 1.1.4 is being worked on (literally...I've got the work open in another window right now). It's a time-consuming process, because I'm trying to make it quite thorough and polished as well.
Saves are generally compatible between versions of the game in terms of numbers, just you'll lose the translation (for now) because both the updates and the translation patch the same files.

Oh my, he sounds like a jerk. Good thing people don't ask for things already posted anymore. Now he shuts up 😁.

Full changelog of SQDT's patches can be found there:
TL,DR: there's not much value in an 1.1.4 save, since the only '100% new' things would be the items - sold by your friendly neighborhood Demon Merchant, provided you're using the 1.1.4 patch (in Japanese, of course). Same goes for the mod (which I haven't tested, just glanced at its files).

Sadly, too many interdependent files are modified by this patch, for a "partial english 1.1.4" to be reasonably feasible. It'll be all or nothing 😅

Well I mean put yourself in the shoes of a newcomer, you're trying to look for a save, googling ulmf gamename save gives irrelavent results, you look down and there's 20-30 pages of posts, and now you need to look through them one by one, it's pretty understandable for them to just ask for a save. What I WOULD recommend is for people who know which page the save is on to point it out: Hey it's posted on page 10 or whatever, so when YOU need a save, you won't have to scroll through all the pages, it's all about scratching each other's back. Smashing your keyboard and typing in angry emojis won't solve anything.
THE BEST way is the F95 solution, where the link to the page with the save is permanently on the index page

Dude there's a thread search just like Strange said. You don't have to ask. Don't just give up as soon as you don't get the answer from google.
