Re: Laws of the Night OOC and Discussion

If you want to sure, I mean it is more of a personal preference thing really. Do you want us to picture you as a gaia avatar, or would you rather describe it in writing. You are a writer after all.

I may be a writer, but I find that people like pictures to go with wordy descriptions lol

Re: Laws of the Night OOC and Discussion

I'm leaving Claire more to the imagination.

Anyway, I'm just waiting for a good time for her to come back in. Seems weird for me to come in in the middle of this game thinger...

oh yes, Shrike, despite Claire not being there for the box trial, does she still get to level up a trait?

Yep, go ahead and choose something to level, it's representative of everything that's happened to them up till that point, and besides, Claire's little scoot home was way more unlife-threatening than this game is ;)

Re: Laws of the Night OOC and Discussion

Yeah, I wouldn't want to see a picture everytime someone spoke. I always like to try and find a character portrait for the sheet though. Maybe I'll just refine my description a lot, since that would probably be easier than finding a pic.

I actually tried finding pics for all the important NPC's in my old game as well, but I scrapped it when it became too much work finding good ones.
Yeah. Sometimes I have a very clear image in my head as to what I want the character to look like and it makes finding a portrait either insanely easy or insanely difficult. I have NPCs I've had for *ages* and still don't have character portraits for them. Hell, I have PCs that don't have portraits either. Case in point: Sho.

Re: Laws of the Night OOC and Discussion

I've played River in the LARP game, but I've always had a different mental image of her than that. When I found that flash program for AWMBI, I was quite surprised that I made her so easily, it's near perfect, except the tattoo.

Also, someone do me a favour and +rep Copper for me, I don't know what I'd do without her :D

Re: Laws of the Night OOC and Discussion

I think my main problem is I don't really know what my mental image of my character is yet. It keeps changing on me, which is probably why he feels so inconsistent right now.

I'll +rep Copper just as soon as she posts an action so we can move on. Since I'm assuming Rosary is just going to continue reading, and Claire hasn't returned yet.

It's okay I didn't realize we were waiting for only one till I went looking for something to rep her on. I normally wouldn't have said anything, especially since she's actually paying attention.

Well We're still missing Ronny, and I'm loathe to go with someone at the center tower not getting to state their action... What does everyone else think?

I'm more than likely going to have Claire come back in after this little minigame.

But wouldn't it be so much more fun to show up during said game? :D

Double post... blech.

Regardless, finally brought Claire back, and also found a kind of picture of her. Not entirely accurate, but the look and feel of how I plan on portraying her from now on is there. It's in the character sheets.

Re: Laws of the Night OOC and Discussion

All right quick question for Sin. From what I've gathered there isn't a Canadian Airborne Regiment anymore, but I still know people who've earned Canadian jump wings for their foreign jump badges. So do you still have a jump school, and no actual airborne unit?

Re: Laws of the Night OOC and Discussion

No actual airborne unit anymore that is correct. However, there is a company within each Infantry Regiment that are paratroopers and permitted to wear the maroon beret. While others can get the jump course you cannot wear the beret unless in a para position.

Alas, you said Ronny was in 2RCR I believe. The jump company for RCR is in M-Coy 3RCR in Pettawawa. This does not however stop him from getting the qualification.
