Laws of the Night OOC and Discussion

Re: Laws of the Night OOC and Discussion

No problem, just hadn't seen you on in a couple of days. Good luck with work, sounds like you'll need it.

Re: Laws of the Night OOC and Discussion

Ugh, it's been a killer lately, between that and all my friends starting up new DnD games and wanting the walking talking DnD encyclopedia to show up and help, I've been pretty tapped out in time and energy. Only getting four or five hours a night sucks :/

But enough of my groaning and complaining, is there any kinds of story type stuff you guys wanna see more/be part of this time around? Big mysteries, epic battles, subtle political intrigue, that sort of stuff?

Re: Laws of the Night OOC and Discussion

Been there it sucks, but it's okay by me if it takes a little longer to finish up. Gives me more time to work on my new hobby, which I should have started a long time ago. Really writing is pretty enjoyable when it's not a school assignment.

Erm, yes to all of those. Probably anything else you could think of too. Really I'm pretty easy to please.

Re: Laws of the Night OOC and Discussion

Part of me's a little torn. I've never really done the whole political/subtlety aspect of vampire and yet, at the same time, I'm so sick of getting into fights when the game really isn't supposed to be all about that *laughs* I suppose I'll just roll with it like always. So long as things aren't blowing up and we're not dealing with getting shot by mooks with phosphorus rounds (for no reason), I'm cool.

Re: Laws of the Night OOC and Discussion

Phosphorus rounds, unless you mean tracers I don't think that's even possible.

I would say political/subtlety and mystery type stuff would interest me more, with occasional fighting thrown in. I've never really played too many games like this myself, as eventually most boil down to fight s no matter what. I can deal with whatever comes up though.

Dragon's breath rounds, actually. Might be tracers, but they can (and will) melt your gun if you use too many of them.

Re: Laws of the Night OOC and Discussion

Oh, cool never heard of them before. Mini flamethrower shotgun, I guess that could be useful against a kindred. Though Dragons breath is technically zirconium not phosphorus, but I don't think that's really all that important to the conversation.

Tracers are just normal rounds with a little phosphorus added to make pretty streaks when fired at night. You usually see them in army movies and news clips. You know the bright green or orange lines you always see in that sort of thing.

Re: Laws of the Night OOC and Discussion

I don't know, being shot into the chest with a flare gun would be pretty bad too, right? Or if that doesn't kill a vampire, the ensuing burning of clothes surely will.

Re: Laws of the Night OOC and Discussion

I wuld imagine being shot with a flare gun or even just a flare period would hurt, especially so to vampires.

Re: Laws of the Night OOC and Discussion

Yeah, I'm still hanging around, still having trouble finishing fletch off without needing another imput or two from him.

Could've PMed me, by the way. Still, what exactly do you need?

Re: Laws of the Night OOC and Discussion

anything you want to do is fine with me Shrike. I've never really done anything like this so... I'll adapt xD

Did you throw any tracer rounds into your M4 magazines overseas? We did that with our C7s. First two and last two. Warning shots and letting the shooter know they was right low on ammo in case they weren't counting.

Re: Laws of the Night OOC and Discussion

Of course, though whoever ordered the ammo for the troop messed up and we had a shortage of tracers. My boys only had the last two as tracers in case they hadn't been kepping track. I had tracer, normal, tracer, normal, etc, etc throughout to help direct fire.

Re: Laws of the Night OOC and Discussion

Makes sense. Though we just used the C9 LMGs to direct fire.

Re: Laws of the Night OOC and Discussion

Yeah, if we had more tracers I would have probably done the same thing. We ran out as it was, though. So meh.

Re: Laws of the Night OOC and Discussion

Alright it's still Shrikie-poos game, but I'm going to be helping her get it going again. So just do a quick roll call if you're still interested, while I get to work with moving things along.

Re: Laws of the Night OOC and Discussion

Hooah. Now that I'm back from con in time to leave for Cleveland for two days.

Re: Laws of the Night OOC and Discussion

You got my reply via PM. I'm all go.

Re: Laws of the Night OOC and Discussion

I would like to be part of this role play if its starting back up again, but under one condition. My thread gets updated on the 29th of October.

Re: Laws of the Night OOC and Discussion

Ohyeah, Shrike and I were going back and forth about the NPC and that's what delayed things. At this point, we'd likely have to talk to Ronny about that, since I'm not sure how much of Shrikes original background information is still going to be used. Still a good set up, but it's in his hands at this point.
