Whether Leo cared about Claire, or the rest of them, or not really wasn't her concern. The book was. If he wanted to be stubborn about going with them, well, that'd be his funeral.

Crossing her arms, she kept her tongue in check for the time being, waiting until she or one of them got the book before she'd make any remarks, like how if Mr. "Do-unto-others" hadn't attacked Ronny, Claire probably wouldn't have attacked him. For the time being, though, she shadows Leo, following him at least to the door of the study while he retrieves the tome.

"You probably should come with us while when we take it back. Apparently they don't like random Kindred running around the city and it could be hazardous to your health." She's not saying it as a threat, persay. More as a warning.

The door to the interview room opens admitting Dr. Frieda alone, though the two orderlies can still be seen standing outside. Dr. Frieda crosses her arms and with a condescending smile answers Claire's question. You realize now where you've seen her before she was one of the kindred sitting in the jury box at Elysium earlier in the night.

"I'm afraid your clothes had to be taken, you see it's common procedure to take a person's clothes when they've been admitted to the psychiatric ward. Hmm now let me see you're the fresh rabble....no wait don't correct me, the fresh puppy dog. You're lucky the Prince has decided to give you a second chance, if I were in charge you would have been executed your first night. As it just happens I'm not in charge, so my job is to make sure you never come close to breaking the masquerade again. Luckily for you the prince decided to have some of his ghouls nearby in case something went wrong. So any final questions before we begin with your training?"

Meanwhile back at Leonardo's house, Raven and Fletch have rejoined the others as Leonardo makes his way across the study to find the book.

Ronny stands through the colorful lecture obviously meant for his benefit from Leonardo. After the short lecture has finished and Leonardo turns his back to find the book. Ronny begins stepping forward into the room his fists clenched tightly, when he bumps into the back of Izzy who has moved into the door frame. Stopping as he realizes he almost ran her down, he looks down at Izzy. Judging from the look on his face, he would be beet red by now if there was enough blood in his system to turn his face red. Izzy may be mistaken but for a split second she could swear that his eyes have turned almost completely black.

Eve motioned to the other neonates. "Guys, I really need to talk to ya'll about something. There's a lot of shit that went down tonight, and most of it seems like we were set up." she smiled wistfully, "And I'd like to have something stating we all participated tonight, so none of us gets fried, you know... So can we head into the other room and talk?"

Feeling the bump, especially given the force of it, Izzy staggers forward a step and then turns around. She immediately picks up on Ronny's posture and holds up a hand, about chest level. She doesn't touch him, but it's accompanied by a look that's urging him to either back off or calm down, whether he realizes how upset he's getting or not. It's clear from her own expression that she'd just as soon leave Leonardo to swing, but she's not about to see another of them do something stupid and get in even more trouble. "It's not worth it, Ronny," she says quietly, her voice pitched for him only. "Remember the rules. He's one of us now and that means we can't touch him without the Prince's okay." A little bit of a wicked smirk pulls at the corner of her lips. "And give him five minutes alone with Ken and we'll probably have our okay."

Her attention briefly goes to Eve. "You thought so too, huh? Anyone else getting that feeling?" she says, a bit grateful for the distraction, even though it isn't intended to be that way. "Getting our story straight is probably a very good idea." She's giving Ronny another look and she stays in the doorway until he backs off, again, not trusting him to get near the old man.

Before joining the others, she glances around the study again, making note of any exits other than the door itself. If that's the only way in and out, she'll join the rest of the neonates and listen to Eve. If there's any chance Leo can get out of the room without them seeing him, she stays where she is, not willing to take any chances that he's going to book with the book.

"Fresh puppy dog, that's cute. And yeah, one question before we get training," Claire said leaning forward and folding her hands in front of her face. Her expression became quite serious and she almost looked nervous to speak.

"You're not going to make me climb any fucking boxes are you?" she said quietly, in almost a whisper.

Ronny stares at the back of the old man's head for a few seconds more before backing away from the doorway. As he turns away from Izzy to join the others he almost looks heartbroken, though it disappears as quickly as it came. Replaced with the dispassionate face he normally wears.

Izzy only notices one window in the room opposite from where Leonardo is looking for the book. It looms as if she could keep an eye on the window and join the others if she stands just right.

Dr. Frieda just smiles contentedly at the puppy dog comment, but almost seems confused at the question before recovering.

"Boxes? why on earth would I have you climb boxes? This training is to make you be a little less....independent, I suppose that's the best way of putting it. After all we can't have you running around the streets like some foolish Sabbat thug. Shooting off guns in the center of town, though not exactly a violation of the masquerade isn't exactly upholding the masquerade either. now if you're ready this won't hurt a bit.

"I'm sure it won't," Claire said, leaning back in her chair and propping her feet on the table in front of her. She didn't believe that last bit at all, the rest of this night was probably going to be spent in utter agony.

"All right then, let's get on with it, sooner I'm out of here the better," she said, though that part about being 'less independent' had her worried. Were they going to turn her into some kind of ghoulish slave? No... ghouls were something else in this world. Still, a zombie slave then? She didn't know enough about what was possible to really know what they were going to do to her.

"Before you suck my mind out or whatever you're about to do... can I ask you why the Prince sent us after a newly turned kindred, when I specifically remember him saying 'kine' in the courthouse. What does he have to gain from setting up a bunch of neonates like us?" she said, trying to push her nervousness and fear away with curiosity.

Either Leonardo was unaware of Ronny's glare or chose to ignore it, but either way, he didn't turn around until the taller vampire had backed away from Izzy. "I can understand that." He said, picking the old book up from where he had left it. "If that state comes so easily to vampires then having a structure to work within would definatly be beneficial. This is the book you are looking for, Rending of the Shroud by Claudius Giovanni." Leonardo didn't offer the book to Izzy, and flipped through the pages. "I shall acompany you to your... higher ups."

Izzy's keeping an eye on both men at this point, yes, angling herself to keep an eye on Leo and curious as to Ronny's change in expression, but at least she kept him from getting in potential trouble. As Leo states the author's name, she nods. "That's the one, I'm pretty sure. He mentioned the name Giovanni." Now that they have the book and Leo's going to come with them, she slides out of the doorway and over to where the others are, either picking up on Eve's remarks or prompting her to go ahead with her thoughts on the matter. Glancing around at the others, too, she had a feeling she'd probably be the one bringing Leonardo with them. Leaving him alone with Ronny would be a bad idea and she didn't want him needling Fletch or Eve. Hopefully it wouldn't be too horrible of a ride.

Eve took a deep breath when Izzy returned, "Could you do the speaking when we return Izzy? I get the distinct impression the prince doesn't like me."

The blonde shrugged. "Suppose I could. So, what was it you wanted to talk about, Eve? Let's get that out of the way before we go into what we're going to tell him. Because, yeah, I thought it was funny how the cops got here pretty quick." She looks at Leonardo over her shoulder. "Did you call them? Before you were Embraced?" There's enough of an inflection on the last word that she doesn't mean 'hugged.'

"If you mean before I joined the apparently already crowded immortal club, no. I didn't have much of a chance to do anything." Leonardo said, flipping through the book, trying to get any information out of it before he parted company with it.

"So a fresh one turned up at the house and you tried to take him out is that it? I'll have to rub it in the face of Vivica that her information was wrong, she said the book was in the hands of a retired professor at death's door. That's what you get though when you work with inferior vampires such as the Giovanni though."

Dr. Frieda moved to the same table sitting down opposite Claire, and looked her straight in the eyes before speaking in a commanding voice.

"Sit up and take your feet off the table. I highly doubt the prince was the one to set you up. Seeing as he was one of the council who didn't want you executed the first night you were brought in. If he'd wanted you to fail he wouldn't have had his ghouls keep an eye out for trouble."

Ronny stands with the others waiting for Eve to speak up about her idea. After listening to Leonardo's answer to Izzy's question, he asks one of his own, apparently much calmer than he was a minute ago.

"So did the guy that embraced you say who he was, or did he just break in and do the whole embrace thing without really saying anything, sir. Actually what's your name if you don't mind, if you already mentioned it I'm sorry but I probably missed it with all the guns going off tonight.

Eve frowned and bit her lip again. "Let's keep our mouths and minds shut about being set up. Sure, this is suspicious, but on the chance it is a trap, saying anything would get us fried." She tapped her cheek in silent thought for a moment before continuing. "Alright, our first test... we get here, make our plan and then get attacked, yes?" She looked around for confirmation. "Mr. Old and Grumpy gets in a lucky bite on Ronny and we get him wrestled back inside. When I called Mr. Alexander on my phone he said the cops were already on thier way. Either the neighbourhood is twitchy or someone tipped them off." She grimaced. "Leaps of logic were never my strong suit. Anyway... when we get back, Izzy, you tell him the story and make sure we all played a part in it, that way no one is fried. Then after Grumypants is sorted out we ask politely and respectfully if we can fetch Claire." She looked around. "See any problems, have any suggestions? We need to be a team in this." Then she cocked her head to listen to Leo's response.

((Well, we were told his name at Elysium, but it's a good ice breaker, so not going to call Ronny on that.))

Izzy chews on her lip as she listens to Eve. "Yeah, probably not a good idea to throw accusations around when we don't really have any proof to back them up other than the cops getting here too quick for our liking." At the mention of them all playing their part, she arches a brow. "Everyone played their part?" She looks thoughtful for a second. "Well, I suppose they did. Some were just a little more...enthusiastic about it than others." She can be seen trying to hold in a smirk at Eve's titles for Leonardo, though. "I suppose Claire did help us get the book, she just...isn't here to present it with us, seeing as how she's distracting the cops. I'll do my best to make sure we're all acknowledged, don't worry. He's all theirs, though." She jerks a thumb in the old man's direction, not really having issue with him looking through the book. She doesn't know what it is, nor does she really care too much at this point. "And, like Eve said, any questions, comments or complaints? From those on the job?" she tacks on to keep Leo quiet.

Claire sat up smartly, placing her feet on the ground, and afterwords blinked in surprise. She wasn't entirely sure what had just happened there, but decided to ignore it for now.

"Well, the professor had been freshly turned and was in a rather pissy mood when we arrived. A frenzy, and he attacked us, so in turn I attacked him. I thought it a little more subtle to use a shotgun than claws on him. There was also a dried out body laying in the floor that your goons ignored," Claire said, leaning back with her hands behind her head, wondering if she'd be forced back to sitting. She was testing her boundaries now.

"But you enjoy that little bit of information for your own needs. If the prince didn't set us up, seems there's still some renegade Kindred running about Red Deer, and now yer going to... turn me into a zombie or something?" Claire asked, still not entirely sure what her 'training' was going to be.

Leonardo keeps quiet about the remarks about him, trying to find anything of use in the book. "Leonardo MacIssac." He said to Ronny, not looking up. "If by embraced you mean becoming a vampire, then no. I don't have that much recollection of what happened while I was dead."

Eve frowned. "Where have you been getting these books? It's not like you could find them at the local bookstore. Who sent them to you?"

"I said sit up, don't think to test me neonate I can do this all night if needed. I would have thought it a little more subtle to just subdue him not shoot him, there were six of you after all. Like I said be glad the Prince's goons showed up instead of other police officers. I don't think you would want to be stuck in a jail cell when the sun comes up after all. So which of you killed the other one? I told the Prince this would happen when he put that Sabbat thug in charge of teaching you our ways. Did she actually teach you anything about the masquerade at all. We're supposed to blend in with the kine, not attract attention by shooting the place up. You need to behave just as those we feed on, or else."

Dr. Frieda smiles at Claire after her short lecture, obviously still quite prepared for a long night of explaining things to the neonate before her. Claire however is starting to feel mentally tired as the night goes on.

Ronny nods at everything Eve and Izzy say before he adds in his own thoughts.

"Yeah I wouldn't even mention it as being a set-up, just say the cops did get here kind of quick. It might not even have been a set-up to be honest, for all we know the cops were a block away. It's possible though I don't necessarily believe it. Claire did at least do something, she just didn't really do it in the right way is all. How about you fletch, you've been pretty quiet for a while, any thoughts."

After listening to Leonardo's response he responds with a nod of his head again.

"Makes sense to me, I don't have all that much recollection of my own embrace either. Embracing is just what the older kindred call it when someone gets turned. They have all kinds of odd terms they like to use, for example use the term kindred when you talk about us, since they apparently don't like any of the other terms that usually come to mind. Whoever ends up as your sire will explain all of that to you in more detail though."

Now that the excitement has died down some Raven has moved beside Izzy. Clenching her hand he gives it a squeeze to signal that he agrees with the idea.

Fletch shrugs. "I'll leave the politics to you guys. I just really want to finally get going. I mean sure, if they ask me I'll say that the cops were here awfully quick, and I'm not gonna say we've been set up - even though we clearly were," he adds, "but don't expect me to hold a speech or something." He takes a look out of the window and sighs into his beard. "I feel like running," he murmurs.
