"Eh? Oh, hey," Art says as he suddenly recognises Ian addressing him. "You could say that. Last time I felt this bad was- nevermind, thats not really something people need to know.." Art says quietly, trailing off as he breaks into a cough. "Ergh, I may have to visit the nurse if this gets any worse, though I'd really rather not. Especially after the last visit..."

Siphon walks in, taking note of Art and raising an eyebrow.

"Damn dude, you look like death warmed over. Hope it isn't the flu again. By the way, when you get a chance later I need to go over something with you regarding last night. Morning Ian, hope I didn't wake you when I came in earlier."

"Y'know, coffee works a bit bettah if ya sip, not chew," Ian chuckles, taking a guess at what Leo's eating, but of course, he isn't really sure. He puts his attention back on Art and his roomie. "Yeah, keep y'sickness t' y'self, in more ways than one," he says of Art not wanting to talk about it, obviously not knowing the real reason behind Art's lack of well-being.

Behind him, the toast pops up. Retrieving butter from the fridge, he snags a knife on the way, too, spinning it in his hand like one might a drumstick as he returns to the spot at the counter.

"Nah. Ah've gotten so Ah sleep through any time y'come sneakin' in in the middle of the night." He chuckles. "Art, y'want some of this? Ah'll keep it plain, if ya are sick."

"Flu? Here's hoping it's just that..." Art comments to Siphon. "And sure, if I haven't died by the end of the day." Art gives a weak laugh that follows into a cough. "Nah, I think I should skip food today, but thanks for the offer."

"Try flat soda, then. Don't wanna be heavin' on an empty stomach, if it comes ta that." He turns around and begins the process of scraping butter across the toast. He also seems to be mindful of Art's condition and takes a seat away from him to eat, in case the sight or smell is going to set him off. Almost casually, he glances over at Siphon. "So what happened last night?"

Siphon shrugged.

"Quite a bit happened last night actually. I'll fill you in on some of it later Ian when there's less people around, and Art you might be interested in some of it too. Oh, and did any of you actually know how many people we have here who actually know what they are doing with melee weapons? Just had a training bout with a few last night, that was fun."

"Yeah, I may give that a go then, thanks," Art replies to Ian, sipping slowly on his orange juice. Art shoots Siphon a look as he hints about what was said last night, though he impulsively lets out a snort at Siphon's claim.

"I doubt many, if any of you could keep up with me when it came to rapiers. I'd back that claim up, but well, you see how I am at the moment. I'd probably vomit all over you if I moved too fast."

At the mention of melee weapons, Leo stamps his foot gently, probably quiet enough for no one to notice, taking a handful of the beans from his bag and munching on them, then swallowing before speaking "Which kinds of melee weapons do you cater to?"

Ian shrugs as Siphon mentions filling him in, missing Art's glare, since his attention is on his roomie.

"Training bout? That what yer callin' it? And should Ah pass that little tidbit on ta Aya ta tell ta Shoni, mm?" He's grinning to the point of not risking taking a sip of his juice for fear of choking on laughter. Whether he's serious or teasing, is likey known more between the two of them than anyone else.

"Prefer not ta get inta any fights m'self. If Ah had ta pick? One of those Louievilles does a fair job of it." He seems to have calmed from his laughing bout, going back to his breakfast.

Siphon does catch the look but he just shakes his head, laughing slightly. Art might get the impression perhaps he was referring to something else with his comment to Ian and not their talk.

"Staff type, sword based, really anything that you can think of I'll use. Prefer swords and Staffs though. Art, I'd take you up on that challenge, but yes, let's wait until you feel better before trying that. Wouldn't be much of a fair fight if your throwing up and unable to defend yourself, and to be honest, I'd prefer not to have that all over me."


He lets out another long chuckle at Ian's joke, smiling slightly.

"Sho already knew about the meet last night, offered her to join but she decided to stay in. I think she's going to actually be seen in class today, she usually stays in the night before she goes to class."

Ian just shakes his head. "You two, Ah swear. Ah get her less than Ah get you, which is a frightening thing." He tips his head in Leo's direction. "What're ya munchin' on over there? Them, what-a-callits? Senzu beans?" He chuckles, more curiosity in the question than any form of making fun.

Leo chuckles. "Seems like I'd whip you in a fight. Swords aren't my thing. I prefer something with more elegance. Something more fluid." he says, then crams another mouthful of beans into his mouth, and, by this time, the scent of coffee would be wafting from the bag and starting to become more and more noticeable to the boys gathered around the common room

Siphon raises an eyebrow at both Ian and Leo.

"Really? Like what Leo?"

A small smile as he adds, "and don't be certain of that."

Ian pinches his hand over his eyes as Siphon questions the Italian. "C'mon, mate, even Ah got that one." He picks his head up and looks over at Leo. "You eatin' those straight or they got choc'late on 'em?"

Art checks the time before letting out a sigh. "Well, I guess I better head to class. Don't want to be late after all." He says, getting up he sways slightly as if the sudden change in altitude unsettled his stomach. He then collects his bags, says his goodbyes and heads to class.

"I find the effect is the most concentrated when eaten raw." Leo says, holding the bag out "Want some?" he asks, offering some to the two "As for weapons, you'd be surprised how skilled I am at handling a whip. Took a mans ear off once, but that's a story for another day." he says, chuckling as he adjusts his glasses with his left hand

Ian shrugs and holds out his hand, allowing Leo to shake a couple of the beans into it. He eyes them for a second and then pops them into his mouth. The expression on his face while chewing runs from curiosity to "Blech!" especially after he swallows and can be seen trying to get the little bits out of his teeth with his tongue. "Think Ah'll stick ta th' choc'late ones," he mutters. "Whole ear or just a bit?" He gets up and gets a glass of water to rinse his mouth with while waiting to see if Leo's going to answer at least that much.

Leo smiles at the reaction to the coffee beans "Just wait til they kick in. Best caffeine rush ever." he says, then hears the question and smiles "Whole ear. Bastard tried to steal from me. It's hard to crack a safe without a good ear." he says, his smile fading quickly as he looks over at Siphon "So. Did you choose to come to this school? Or were you forced, as I was?"

"A little bit of both actually. It's a bit ... complex."

"I hate complex. It makes life hard." Leo says, chuckling as he shakes his head "I was forced to come here. Apparently, being a rich spoiled loner is wrong for one such as myself. Family expects me to become their 'pride and joy', when all I want to do is read." he says, then looks over to Ian "What of you? Why are you here?"
