Monster Girl Island OOC chat

Re: Monster Girl Island OOC chat

Yeah, I saw that. And Az isn't much of a fighter, so we'll have to see. Then again, I'm currently in Waymeet, but I'm with someone looking to drum up support for Undine.

All these webs, you'd think I were an Arachne.

Re: Monster Girl Island OOC chat

I suspect there are much bigger webs being spun around by some.

Re: Monster Girl Island OOC chat

Kenkou is in maximum Lovecraft mode and I love it.

Ph'nglui mglw'nafh Cthulhu R'lyeh wgah'nagl fhtagn~!

Also, having fought a Shoggoth in Arkham Horror, the monster girl version is probably obscenely powerful.

Re: Monster Girl Island OOC chat

This one obviously has some kind of submissive kink, or it was made to serve.

Re: Monster Girl Island OOC chat

I love how there are FORTY TWO entries for "Shoggoth" on Gelbooru. I swear, the tags amuse me more than the pictures.

And you haven't lived until you've seen the 4th of July parade march down the throat of a dhole.

Re: Monster Girl Island OOC chat

That would fit the Shoggoth's lore. They're an multieyed blob created to serve the Elder Things. They eventually grew sentient though and became less slaves but continued to obey the Elder things. Course once said Elder Things went to nappy time, well, yeah.
In any case, defiently relevant to my interests. Heh, I could play Misil again soon...

Re: Monster Girl Island OOC chat

When making MGR, I was surprised at the lack of worthless monsters as far as combat goes. Surprised to be adding this one to the list. Kobold mamonos are without question going to be weak, as if their appearance given isn't pathetic enough.

Re: Monster Girl Island OOC chat

Why is the kobold a dog? Kobolds are lizard people. In DnD lore anyways. '3'

Re: Monster Girl Island OOC chat

Considering DnD annoys me I'm glad we went with a different version.

Re: Monster Girl Island OOC chat

Lizard is only the latest lore.

The mythological kobolds could easily be described as many forms. Often were analogues to dwarves.

Originally in dnd the only description of kobolds was "Like goblins, only weaker." No, seriously.

The evolution into lizards I'm not certain of but their evolution into trapmasters can be directly linked to an article known as Tucker's Kobolds.

Re: Monster Girl Island OOC chat

For once a monster anyone can beat, huh?

Re: Monster Girl Island OOC chat

*puts on the wizard hat*

Zilrax is pretty much got it. Kobolds, in their original incarnation, were rather dog-like or sort of dog-lizards. Their cries were often compared to dogs yipping, which is where a lot of it came from, I think.

It wasn't until around 2nd/3rd edition that they started getting more lizard-like. And don't even get me started on goblins (especially Pathfinder ones.)

Re: Monster Girl Island OOC chat

and

Re: Monster Girl Island OOC chat

The beetle looks nastier than most arachnae/spider types save for possibly the Ushi-Oni. o.o

Re: Monster Girl Island OOC chat

Well, they're more or less bred for combat. Of course they're gonna look intimidating.

Re: Monster Girl Island OOC chat

She'll probably be mostly harmless mind for when you piss her off. Otherwise she'll be rolling stuff cuz it's fun.

Re: Monster Girl Island OOC chat

And, of course, what pops into my head?

Re: Monster Girl Island OOC chat

And then there was Looks like these are yet again one of those things that transform others.

And then there was Looks like these are yet again one of those things that transform others.

A bit more insidious too as they can still be human and spread the taint.

Re: Monster Girl Island OOC chat

For the most part, I won't be using the official versions of monster girls. Which reminds me, I might make a monster girl blip of my own to establish the difference. Depending on interest of course. If no one cares then I won't bother.
