I found this game on my own a week or so ago and I wasn't too impressed by it. On one hand I hold a special place in my heart for the old-school Metal Slug approach the game has, but on the other hand I found it a bit lacking in content. It is well polished and works great, I only found a few bugs, but it comes from such a pedigree that I came into it expecting more.

Take out the H content and add 20-30 more levels and you might have a nice little distraction of a game, something the get the old-school gaming blood flowing, but then again without the H stuff people probably wouldn't have bothered to pick it up at all.

Alright, I give. I've gone through the whole thread and can't find out why the ssf4 I downloaded only opens up to a folder with files my computer can't run. I'm using a windows 7 with Jap regional settings on. I read someone asking about a update and if it was needed or not but was told no, that it wasn't.

Can someone kindly direct me to a solution which I'm sure I've missed?

hey guys. could someone help me please? i can't seem to get the super street fighter iv to run
i've dDL ed the 3 parts from hongfire and extracted it all but when i try to run it it opens and instantly closes.
i know that i need to run it under jap settings but can i use applocale for it? because switching to jap every time is not really an option for me

also there was some talk about an update needed to run the game - i've downloaded that but how do i install it correctly?

, and from what I can can gather with my limited Japanese, the new game may be related to Battle Slave Fantasia (perhaps a sequel?).

More importantly, there's a poll on the left asking about what people want for fantasy female characters. (And no, I don't know why there are shota options on the female character poll.) NOTE: You can vote once every 12 hours.

I don't fully understand all the choices, but here some of them (If i'm not sure, I'll put ??):

* ふたなり = futanari
* エルフ = elf
* ロリショタ = lolishota
* ぽっちゃり = ?? pochari (i think this means plump)
* ロリキャラ = loli character
* 筋肉 = muscle
* 淫乱巨乳尻 = ?? no idea. something about being lewd
* 巨乳セーラー服 = large breast with sailor suit
* ノーマル = Normal
* お姫さま = Princess
* 超巨乳 = Super large breasts
* ケモショタ = ?? kemoshota (furry shota?)
* ケモノ = kemono (anthropomorphic animal character. basically a furry)
* ケモロリ = kemololi (presumably a furry loli)

The last choice on the poll lets you type in your own option. I'm not sure if they will understand English suggestions though. (But it might be worth a shot, lol.)

If I translated any of the options incorrectly, of if anyone knows what the ?? options are, please let me know.

As of right now(2/8/11), Loli leads with 70 votes. Futanari is second with 68 votes. Muscle has 54 votes. Magical girl is up to 53 votes. Super large breast and princess are tied with 44 votes. 短パンショタ (whatever that is) has 36 votes. Big breast sailor suit now has 31 votes. ケモロリ has 24 votes. Elf has 21 votes. 淫乱巨乳尻 also has 20 votes, but I'm not sure what it means. All other options have less than 20 votes so far.

Some options that are further down the list that may be of interest are: Blond princess knight with 18 votes. Arachne or lamia with 17 votes. Dark skin girl with 13 votes. Ninja girl with 11 votes. Samurai girl with 6 votes. Vampire has 5 votes.

I'm having the exact same problem.

Allsop2604, you could try moving the スーパーストリップファイターIV folder to your root hard drive directory. That is, move it directly to your C drive (for example) without putting it any other folders. I have heard that Fighter Maker games like SSS4 don't like long path names. If that doesn't work, then I don't know what the problem could be.

I'm pretty sure it will not work with Applocale though.

For people having problems with SSFIV, I've always gotten the fighter maker games to work by changing the .exe and .kgt names from the japanese characters to english, then using applocale. Just make sure the .exe file and .kgt file have the same name. Sorry if this has been posted before, and hope this helps.

I wish you could vote for more than one option at once like that. Unfortunately, you can only vote for 1 at a time (but you can vote again every 12 hours).

Each option individually:

褐色肌少女 = brown skin girl (has 5 votes so far)
エルフ = elf (19 votes so far)
娼婦 = whore (3 votes)
超巨乳 = Super large breasts (36 votes)

You could create a new poll option instead. Enter something like this into white box in the last spot on the poll (copy/paste):

巨乳褐色肌なエルフの娼婦 => this should be pretty close to what you said. Big breast brown skin elf whore. (The grammar might be wrong, but hopefully the point would get across.)

The advantage of adding a new option is you could get exactly what you want. The disadvantage is it adds another option to the poll, which spreads the vote out even more.

Either way, you would have to get a bunch of votes somehow. Right now loli and futa have a huge lead.

Since I happen to like dark skinned elf whores with large breasts too, I'll gladly vote for those optionsl. (I already voted for dark skin girl and elf a few days ago.)

@handofdoz: good news! It looks like you can vote for the same option more than once after waiting the 12 hours. I just voted for dark skin girl for the second time (that brings the total to 8 votes now).

Note(3/7/11): It seems like the character poll is over. The final results are above. Sadly, I have strong doubts about whether or not StudioS is paying attention to the poll anymore.

Note(3/4/11): There were a few big changes since my last update. Most notably, Cammy got hit by a vote bomb and vaulted up +79 votes in a single day to briefly take 8th place (was formerly in 23rd place). Dark skin girl has since passed Cammy to retake 8th place, but it's still close. Arachne or Lamia has fallen to 19th place, mainly due to Cammy flying into the top 10 and bumping everyone else down 1 spot. Recently, pregnant woman got a decent boost (about +18 votes) to reach 13th place. Reira has reached the top 20. It looks like princess might fall out of the top 20 soon. It seems likely that Elf will fall out of the top 25 very soon.

Note(2/28/2011): Not much has changed in the last two days. Dark skin girl still in 8th. Arachne or Lamia is very slowly climbing the ranks, reaching 18th place. Blond princess knight has moved into the top 10, which is a pretty good option in my opinion.
Note(2/26/11): Dark skin girl is now in 8th place. Sadly it will take 50+ more votes to reach 7th place. Arachne or Lamia is up to 19th place. Super large breasts has once again taken 1st place. Muscle has finally passed Loli to reach 4th place. Big breast dark skin elf whore is closing in on the top 30.
Note(2/23/11): Dark skin girl has reached 9th place now. Archne or Lamia still in 20th. Princess has fallen out of the top 10. Samurai girl and Ninja girl are very close to the top 20. Elf may actually fall out of the top 25.
There was a vote explosion at the top of the poll in the last two days! Lolishota and super big breasts were in a war for the top spot, each gaining 70+ votes in the last 2 days. Sadly lolishota seems to have prevailed for now. Also, Dancer jumped up from 18th to 7th place, gaining 72 votes in that time! Clearly someone has the ability to funnel a large number of votes into the poll in a short time frame. As I predicted, with the revealing of a loli character, loli is no longer gaining many votes these days.

I wonder how many characters they intend to put in this game? The previous BSF only had 4 female characters. However, their last fighting game, Super Strip Fighter 4, had 13 female characters (+1 shota, so 14 if you count Al). I suspect this game will be somewhere in between, and figure we at least have a shot if we can get our choices in the top 10 (or better yet, top 5, but that's unlikely).

BTW, if anyone likes any other choices (like Elf or whatever), Let us know so maybe we can funnel votes into those, too.
