You know what I really hate?
I hate people who act like Video Games are serous business.
It's quite simple. You like it: You play it. You don't like it: You don't play it.
Hating a game because all your friends are playing it and you're not is just stupid. Especially when you admit it's a good game, but you refuse to buy it and play it because it 'stole your friends'. You instead choose to remain on the game that no-one will play any more. And the reason no-one will play it is because they found a game that's better. Take the hint. PLAY THE BETTER GAME. And if you prefer the 'worse' game, play the worse game. And don't be pissed off when your friends don't, because they're having as much fun as you are.
Yes Ili, I'm referring to you here, but not just you. Anything where Video Games are treated as serious business is a fucking waste of time in my opinion.
While we're on the subject, I also hate the angry mothers and protestors who insist that "Video games are violent and should be banned!" Do yourself a favour and watch Bowling for Columbine. Anyone who claims Video games incite violent acts is just using it as an excuse. Probably because he couldn't beat the high score on Pac-Man.

That's like a dude's/lesbians's wife/girlfriend - or, for you girls/gays, your husband/boyfriend - only staying with them until someone hotter comes along.
Not to the same extent, but similar.
Not to mention we can't all always play the better game.
I'd love to play Crisis, but I don't have the money to custom build a computer that can handle it. I'd love to be able to play WoW, but I wouldn't play enough to justify the subscription fee.
The only people who actually treat games like serious business are those 14... I'm sorry, 10 year olds on XBOX Live, who also decide to play other games with VOIP like Battlefield 2142, or just games with a means of communication in general like Warcraft III (or as I call it, IRC with a pretty background).
And yes, I'm ranting.

If you want to play WoW, I recommend a private server. Most if not all of them are free, and the communities are smaller so you actually get to make friends, and there are less retarded 6 year olds being stupid or Chinese bots gold farming. Pirate the game itself, Blizzard makes more than enough money as is, they don't need any more.

I disagree merely for the aspect of competitive gaming and the fact that violent video games DO increase rates of violent thought and behavior.
It's just, the kids who can't control it had a problem with them in the first place and ANY outside influence could have broken the kid in the same way.

Hate is a very strong word, and should not be tossed around so freely. Theres many degree of dislike wich is often confused for hate, it takes great passion and time to focus and hate some thing or some one its just not really worth my time. Despite my Avater; that is a nazi, I do not hate jews.

Ah, so I need to give a bit more insight into my reasons for hating L4D for 'stealing my friends'. My clan, Armada PB, has recently given me an ultimatum: Get your division active, or resign from your position. I happen to care quite a bit about that position. Its something I worked hard to get to. Its something I've worked hard to maintain. Its something I happen to love. Do you know where more than one of my members have vanished off to? L4D. That means I'm forced to suffer because people simply drop off the radar to run along and play a different game without any post to notify us, any communique beyond "Hey, we've got a scrim tonight." "Fuck CSS, I have L4D now!" ON THE FUCKING NIGHT. So that's a slap in the face from a clanmate and friend, two things we try to foster in ApB along with our sense of community. So, yes, I take it seriously when friends leave me hanging when we're in need because something shiny has come along. I take it even more seriously when it turns out to be a GameArena-sanctioned match, which means our results are recorded. I don't hate it because they're playing it and I'm not. I hate it because they're playing it and abandoning friends, clanmates, obligations and dare I say a word of honour while doing so.

Those assholes that pick up a cause just for the sake of having a cause. They don't think things through and don't realize that, some of the time, if their points actually succeeded, it would make things like sexism and racism even stronger. I know people who can't say the word "Racist." I mean, most of us can agree the world would be better if there wasn't racism, but don't fucking act like it doesn't exist, you douchetool, you're only bringing it power by ignoring it.

Yeah political correctness is wrong on so many levels. By definition it is polite racism, sexism, what have you. Everyone is racist in some way, if people would just except that and stop avoiding it wouldn't be such a problem.

My friend at work had to have his whole office talked to by some representative cuz someone wrote the word "racist" on a whiteboard. Nothing racist, just the word "racist." On the board next to it were a huge list of swear words and a drawn picture of a naked woman, but they get in trouble for "racist"
Another friend of mine is attending college and there's a rule on her floor that no one can say the words "faggot" "gay" "retarded" or "nigger" in any context.
Let's just say, I'm DEFINITELY going to visit this friend pretty soon and tear some dumb RA a new one for being a retarded niggerfaggot with gay rules
