I'd just like to point out how only the Americans could call something the World Series which isn't played outside North America.

Whenever someone says "X won the world series" I reply "Cool, which country did they beat?"

Well of course there was blood! Back then the defence was as tight as Mr. Scrooge... the attacker only just managed to squeeze through. There was a lot of friction amongst the players after that.
