Re: DDO

If you spot me on I'm always willing to help run through a quest as well. I do pretty good against the oozes with magic missiles as long as I don't accidentally corner myself. I have some ooze bane bolts if you want em, too. Which reminds me is there any specific stuff any of you want me to keep an eye out for. Like bolts or arrows, because I get a lot of various kinds of those and don't use them. I also have some MW thieves tools for either Keylo or Lurker, which ever of you could use them. You probably already have +1 equipment, but if there's a specific weapon or armor you can use a +1 in I can hold on to that as well. I swear if I get another +1 bastard sword I'm going to scream though.

Re: DDO

I'm always on the lookout for Magical Breastplate. In true Barbarian fashion, I spend all my money on the weapons ;)

Also, I am pretty sure I will be without internet come Jan. 1st. I can still access the forums here on my cell, but DDo is right out until I get settled again.

Re: DDO

I started playing this not too long ago; I'm currently a level 3 rogue. It's fun, though it's also rather quite funny how when I recruit people for a quest, they end up being at the maximum level for the quest. They pretty much just breeze through the whole thing and give me free bundles of experience without even asking.

It's nice, but at the same time, it feels very empty.

Edit: Of course, I also like to sneak attack A LOT. So... I might have some blame in being so damn slow.

Re: DDO

Yeah that's why I tend to do a lot of soloing, because I hate to feel like I'm being carried. Especially as a sorceror, who's quite squishy I might add. Unfortunately I'm hitting a wall now, so I'm probably going to have to find people to carry me for a while.

No probs Shrike, I may make Lurker an officer in your place then since he's on quite frequently. It just makes more sense to have them as the officers.

Re: DDO

Agreed. 1 guy in a party for my Waterworks quest literally mincemeated everything while the rest of the team- clerics, sorcerors, another fighter, and pure-ranger me- were straggling and trying to catch up

Also- what stat helps Searches, Wisdom or Intelligence? seems my rouge be laxing something for that, besides a steady exp for reaching lvl 5

Re: DDO

Search is int, Spot is wis.

And one of the main reasons I stopped playing is all the parties went from how they were when i started; groups of peope who work together and go through the dungeon at a normal pacce, to what you're all describing now, a bunch of players who zerg rush through as fast as they can.

As a Bard, I was rather dependant on being with a party who appreciates teamwork. When things went south, it was hard enough just to convince people to stand still long enough for me to buff them. And because I was level 7, my solo quest options had all but dried up.

Also, I'm tired of giving out advice like the sage I am and not getting anything for it. Would it kill you people to throw some rep my way when I answer a question of yours or something?

Re: DDO

The Zerg rush bit does get rather annoying. However, as I am 'conveniently' the "only" rogue in my parties most of the time, if people want to rush ahead before I can disarm, they dig their own graves... Same goes for door unlocking.

Re: DDO

Too bad you can't just loot their corpses after they do something stupid like that. I mean you are a rogue after all.

I don't mind zerging if it's done in a somewhat sane fashion. Example, last night I joined a group for one quest I had never done before. They all promptly ran off to different sections of the dungeon leaving me confused as all fuck while they did all their little things. Needless to say I didn't even stay for the dungeon. A few times I've done it where the group stays all nicely together and still zerg rushes the place, but those groups are rare it ssems. It's also one of the reasons I started this thread since I actually know most of you.

Re: DDO

Works for me. Shame it seems only rarely we all are on at once though ^^;

Re: DDO

Yeah, I had holiday stuff eating time :p

But anyways. I'm going to probably start back up once the second week of January hits. As far as I know I have all Korthos Island quests done on hard, 'cept maybe Misery Peak may only be done up to normal.

Re: DDO

So I'm currently downloading DDO Eberron - Unlimited because it promised me no fees and no costs. Is that the same game as you folks play, or am I going to be seperate from you guys?

Re: DDO

Nope same game, the guilds on Cannith, look for Narsin, Enigmaheart, or Legorlas for an invite when you're ready. We also have characters on other servers too, but no guilds there.

Re: DDO

I think I'm on Orien right now. Am I gonna have to make a new character when I switch servers, or can I transfer my Dwarven Fighter?

Oh yeah, I think I'm capped at level 4 with the free version.

Re: DDO

Stormreach quests can help ya there. You should be able to find a 'Copper Leveling Sigel' in them that will boost your current level cap to 8. Final cap of course is lvl 20.

As for character transfer, not that I know. Each server's chars is extended.

Re: DDO

Yeah, when you reach stormreach, you'll more than likely find a copper sigil for a reward item at some point. If not they only cost ten favor points which you'll have earned for free by that point.

You can't transfer characters between servers, but everyone F2P or not can have 2 characters/server. Hence why some of us have many characters.

Re: DDO

Well, can't be helped then. Character name on Cannith is Eiryn Stormshield, Human Fighter.

Re: DDO

You can transfer characters, but for a stupid amount of real money. Bottom line, don't do it. :/

Re: DDO

Used to play late-ish last year. Might get back into it because the newest update got rid of those damn leveling sigils and the single player thing is perfect for the man whose friends suck too much to try this game.

Too much on my plate atm. Haven't even found the time to get into NMH2.
