Ender's game is a very good movie, much better than a movie based on a book has any right to be. My only complaint is that it is immensely abbreviated compared to it's literary counterpart, but even still it does manage to hit all of the core points. Maybe check it out.

I thought Iron Man 3 was pretty good too myself, certainly didn't piss me off any, though I don't know if I would say it was the best of the three personally, but pretty good nonetheless. I also got around to watching Pacific Rim as well, and was surprised that it wasn't quite as bad as I thought it'd be, though it could easily have been better than it was by far in my opinion. Thought Olympus Has Fallen was pretty good too.

I just watched Strange Frame: Love & Sax, an animated sci-fi film with a lesbian couple played by Tara Strong and Claudia Black. Also featuring Ron Glass, Alan Tudyk, Juliet Landau, and George Takei.

....It was really cool!

I know of a few reasons people were upset at Iron Man 3, and I'm going to put them in spoilers out of courtesy even though this movie has been on dvd for some time now.

First: The Mandarin is basically comic relief. There are people who saw the film and are fans of the comic, and in the comics Mandarin is a huge goddamn deal for a really long time. Like primary villain. Personally, I think this is hilarious because they can set up the "real" Mandarin as a guy who chose that name specifically to co-opt the terrifying guy on the screen who spends the first third of the movie trying to prove he's a legitimate threat.

Second: A lot of people were upset that Tony blew up his shit at the end of the film and had the reactor removed from his chest. It brings a finality to the film that I think many people were uncomfortable with, especially given the ongoing nature of the film universe. Never mind that in that movie he was building something like a suit a day.

Third: This is probably the longest a super-hero has been heroing without his equipment. I know a couple of people who were upset because they tried to turn Tony Stark into James Bond.

I really enjoyed it.

Going back to Iron Man 3, Imma put some spoilers down below sorta saying why I didn't like it.

First of all please tell me how the hell a bunch of plant humanoids (never read the comics, and if I'm wrong it's mainly because it ain't explained really well in the movie.) can destroy and rip the limbs off of about 15 IRON MAN SUITS. THOSE THINGS ARE MADE OF EXTREME ALLOYS AND SHIT.
Why the hell would Pepper get so mad at Stark for building cool-ass suits that for sure will be useful sometime in the future? WHY???
I did like the Mandarin guy. That was funny
Oh wait, I just remembered; in the previous movie didn't Stark go through a lot of shit to find the supreme element/particle/molecule/thing that powered up his suit like a hundred times and assured his safety from being killed by the shrapnel?
Also, if he could have taken off that crap that threatened to kill him every single day all along, why didn't he do it in the previous movie where he was literally dying and lurching until he found the awesome legacy from his father?
Yeah, sure, he blew up all of his long life work that probably cost him all of his savings to please Pepper and make her forgive him (FOR NO DAMM REASON) at the end; but now he is basically homeless. His house blew up, his machinery was blown up, he blew up his suits... even the giant bunny rabbit blowed up!
Also one thing that made me really nervous: The original Golden-Scarlet suit doesn't appear ONCE.
And last but not least: At the end of the movie Stark said "But one thing is clear, I am still Iron Man." NO YOU'RE FUCKING NOT! YOU BLEW UP ALL OF YOUR SHIT AND EVEN TOOK OUT THAT AWESOME GLOWING THINGY IN YOUR CHEST! Yeah sure, Tony's still alive and kicking, so he can make a suit anytime he wants; but it's as if the original just died. That's what I hate the most.

I may sound really unreasonable in many (if not all) cases, but ending the trilogy like that is as a bad as a David Cage game. Sorry if I offended anyone (somehow) with this post, but this is just what I found wrong with the film.

-People with superhuman strength can break the armor. We've already seen this, and most non-human races in Marvel have superhuman strength.
-Because derpy drama.
-He didn't find a more powerful element, he found one that wouldn't poison him.
-It's setting up a big impressive thing when he dons the suit again, now likely with an onboard power supply instead of tapping into the one on his chest. It wasn't particularly good, or particularly well done, but meh.

1-Extremis is a nanobot-type deal that is injected in the blood and allows it's users to heal and boosts their natural human abilities. It has the side effect of generating massive amounts of heat, which can sometimes result in the detonations of it's host.
2-Pepper was upset at Tony not because he was building suits, but because he was doing so to the exclusion of all other activities. It was literally the only thing he was doing.
3-He may have left the reactor in for any number of reasons. It is the case that he spent quite a bit of time in that cave, and quite a bit of time afterwards with it in his chest, o he may have just accepted it. It's also the case that it made him unique, which is a boon to an egoist, and made him a celebrity.
4-He's not homeless. He has Stark Tower, which at least has a penthouse suite, and more money than god. Admittedly blowing up all the suits was a bit ham-handed but I wasn't really bothered with it beyond that.

Pepper was pissed because as was pointed out by Newbie all Tony did was build suits. Kind of hard to have a relationship when you get ignored so yet another suit can be made. He even greeted her with an empty suit with him talking through it, while he continued to make more shit.

Honestly, if I was in Pepper's shoes, I'd be pretty pissed off too. That's some basic relationship steps.

Nunu went and got to see enders game. Overall i was pleased, they got down all the important plot points adequately (with some exceptions about the end) and managing to do everything well makes something good. Thats what halo did.
