Re: Hate Thread
My brother had a party two days ago and left a big mess all over the main floor of the house. Yesterday he went and spent the day downtown. This morning, he comes home and declares that he'll clean it all up. This involves cooking up the grossest pirogies I have ever tasted, then shirking off his room and playing video games.
My sister comes home from work, and is understandably upset over how messy the Kitchen and Living Room are. However, the problem arises when she comes to recruit me. I immediately tell her that not only did I not contribute any dishes to the mess, but that our dear bother said he would taking care of the mess. (My diet consists of canned tune, water and Ice Cream. My dishes amount to two forks, a glass and a mug.) I also have a problem with working in a tiny space with lots of people in the way. (Eight people in that tiny kitchen? Nothing is gonna get done.)
She immediately begins to try and convince me that helping her clean up somebody else's mess best thing to do right now. Her arguments include such things as "You live here too." "Have you seen it in there?" "Everyone else is helping." ("It's his responsibility. He even said so." "No I haven't. I keep my food in my room." "Then you don't need my help.")
My sister then begins to bring up another point, and I immediately interrupt her with "I'm not helping." She continues to try and argue with me, and I continue to interrupt her with "I'm not helping." This escalates, bringing attention to everyone in the house and their presence to us. Then my sister gets upset enough to shove me (kinda funny, actually). In response, one of her friends, let's call him Dopey, gets between us, facing me, and tell me to back off and calm down.
So in short, I hate my Brother's late night sausage festivals, I hate cleaning up after other people, and I hate macho boys.
