The grade, Copper. Or what passes for a B around these parts.
Well, because of the exchange rates, I'm pretty sure that's an A in America

I've found out hot chocolate is free to me. Delicious days are forever to come.

How's you score that? Well, admittedly, I can get free hot drinks at work and probably should exercise that more often to get some practice with the infernal coffee machine.

Didn't know that about hulu sors. I thought it was hysterical, if a little iffy since it was toned down for primetime tv
Pretty sure the whole being toned down thing is why a lot of people I talk to aren't happy with it. Rocky Horror was not meant for Primetime.

I think he's saying that something that would get you a lower score in other nations gets your a high score in the States...

Yeah I think that's what Inky meant but I still like Sin's comment and it applies. That reminds me of a joke I heard from a comic I saw at college (Jay Black) about Americans not being as smart as other countries....

It's something like....Yes Americans might rank at the bottom in math and science but the US ranks #1 in places where you actually want to live. "Other countries might have better math teachers but you know what they don't have? Illegal immigrants b/c nobody's trying to get in those countries. Nobody's on the border going let us in we don't care about the famine we wanna learn algebra." "Oh there's a famine in your country? that's terrible....oh how much food do I have? I don't know I'm not very good at math..."

I pride myself on my booksmarts. But goddamn do I never have to try for anything, and it shouldn't be this easy. My high school prepared me by being extremely strict and having high standards so we wouldn't have trouble in college, but now I feel like I'm being set up to fail. Sure we probably have similar qualities and might even be perfectly even in terms of graduate schools and stuff, but I feel like I'm a child because face time with the professor practically gets me a whole letter grade. It's probably not true and I really don't know anything about European schools, but I can only imagine that most people work harder relative to me. So when I see people doing worse than I am in the same settings (american schools) I don't see what they're problem is, but in an unfamiliar setting, I don't have any knowledge or experience to base my assumptions on, so I can only assume people doing better than me there are working harder or learning more. It's probably a terrible fallacy in comparison to what's available to me, but it doesn't necessarily mean I'm wrong ;)

But yeah, I'm currently disappointed in most schooling here. How "places of higher education" have main concerns over that of education.

Also it's because I'm allowed unlimited access to hot chocolate during the 18 hour a day buffet for meals that come standard with my tuition. That, I'm very not disappointed in.

Hmm, I thought he was commenting onto something else. That's what I get for not properly reading what I'm quoting...

Still, applies to what Toxic said earlier about it all.

Hrm, yeah, that's slang that obviously isn't as widespread as I'd assumed.

To "score" something in the sense I used it is to get something, often free or much cheaper than usual, that one would usually pay for. Or to get something difficult to obtain, such as "scoring" tickets to that upcoming concert.

Halloween's the 31st, not the 30th. Unless you're in a time zone thats 12 or so hours ahead of me.

I suppose I'll settle for that one, just because it doesn't have a penis in it x.x

Re: What made you feel giddy today?

So is that an amusing municipal party in which everything is orange or a municipal party which is particularly amusing to oranges?
